  • This study aimed to review the literature on the effects of the meaning enhancement program for college students studied in Korea, and to analyze the content and formal characteristics and the meaning enhancement effects of the program for college students. The literature was collected for studies aimed at enhancing meaning of life in college students among research papers and dissertations published in Korea until May 2021. Six databases were used to conduct searches with 'logotherapy' in Korean and English OR "meaning therapy" OR "meaning of life" OR 'meaning'. Two independent researchers performed an assessment of bias risk and research quality using a standardized tool, with seven final selected papers. All seven meaning enhancement programs were effective in discovering the meaning of life among college students, and both single and merged interventions were found to be effective. In order to analyze the effect size of meaning enhancement programs for college students, randomized control experimental studies need to be conducted in the future.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the relationships among emotional intelligence, resilience to burnout, and meaning in life of hospice volunteers. Methods: Data were collected through structured questionnaires from 200 hospice volunteers who were working at hospitals for six months or longer. Data were collected from March 7 to March 31, 2016, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 22.0. Results: There was a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence, resilience to burnout and meaning in life. The significant predictors of hospice volunteers' meaning in life were resilience to burnout(${\beta}=.47$), emotional intelligence(${\beta}=.15$), educational level(college, ${\beta}=.11$), religion(protestant, ${\beta}=.12$; buddhism, ${\beta}=-.15$), and motivation for neighborhood service(${\beta}=.16$). These variables explained meaning in life up to 50.2%. Resilience to burnout was the greatest effective factor on meaning in life. Conclusion: These results suggest a need to develop programs that improve hospice volunteers' emotional intelligence and resilience to burnout. Also, educational level, religion, and service motivation of hospice volunteers should be considered.

  • All data created in BigData times is included potentially meaning and correlation in data. A variety of data during a day in all society sectors has become created and stored. Research areas in analysis and grasp meaning between data is proceeding briskly. Especially, accuracy of meaning prediction and data imbalance problem between data for analysis is part in course of something important in data analysis field. In this paper, we proposed data prediction model based on data weights and neural network using R for meaning analysis between data. Proposed data prediction model is composed of classification model and analysis model. Classification model is working as weights application of normal distribution and optimum independent variable selection of multiple regression analysis. Analysis model role is increased prediction accuracy of output variable through neural network. Performance evaluation result, we were confirmed superiority of prediction model so that performance of result prediction through primitive data was measured 87.475% by proposed data prediction model.

  • The sentences with the same surface word order may be realized with the pragmatically different meanings, depending on the contexts under which they could appear. Semantically, their meaning differences have been explained in terms of the different information structures (Steedman 2000), whereas prosodically, they can be explained in terms of the different compositions of intonational components which make their own semantic contributions (Pierrehumbert and Hirschberg 1990). In other words, the different intonation realizations of the sentences with the same word order reflect the different information structures. In this paper, we investigate the relationship between the information structure and the intonational meaning by way of analysing the production of the sentences with ambiguous scopes of the English focus particle 'only'. In contrast to the previous quantitative approaches to the scopes of the focus particle 'only', two independent levels of information structure (Steedman 2000)-theme/rheme, and focus/ background-make it possible to consistently explain the intonational phenomena.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the meaning of life and academic engagement as a factor that affects the academic satisfaction of online learners in adulthood. The subjects of this study were 148 adult learners enrolled in cyber university. For data analysis, Spss 23 and PROCESS Macro were used. As a result of the correlation analysis, there was a significant positive correlation between the meaning of life, academic satisfaction and academic engagement, there was also a positive correlation between academic satisfaction and academic engagement. As a result of confirming the direct effect on educational satisfaction, the direct effect between the meaning of life as an independent variable and academic engagement as a mediating variable was positively significant. As a result of examining the indirect effect of academic engagement on the relationship between the meaning of life and academic satisfaction, the mediating effect was significant. Through insight into the meaning of life in diddle age, students show engagement for their studies, which leads to academic satisfaction. Therefore, in order to increase the academic satisfaction of adult learner, it is thought that it is necessary to develop a practical education program and a motivation program that can find the meaning of life.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine some of the theories concerning socioaffective strategies, to analyze the dialogues of the students negotiating for meaning of a reading material and to suggest some implications of socioaffective strategies for teaching reading. The examination of the theories - the interaction hypothesis and the sociocultural theory - suggest that the use of socioaffective strategies facilitates more effective understanding of information that is to be found. distributed, and taken in among the participants. The discourse analyses of the students' interaction in a Korean college English reading class show ample evidence of the use of socioaffective strategies that helped them understand the meaning of a text. However, the analyses show that the strategies are mostly used to ask questions concerning the meaning of clauses. Only few analytical questions are raised for some structural and pragmatical features in the text which are crucial to the understanding of its meaning. Imbalance also exists in the types of the questions used by the participants. The analyses indicate that, instead of negotiating more interactively, the students tend to rely upon a more advanced student when they face difficult English sentences. Therefore as a conclusion this paper emphasizes the importance of teaching socioaffective strategies to help students to help themselves to become more cooperative, independent and analytical in reading English texts.

  • Today, the convergence of fashion design and digital technology has become a popular method and accordingly been tried variously in the fashion area. This study aimed to analyze the character of the collaboration with fashion and technology, and the meaning of technology as emotional expression methods. Selected designer's collections, literature and other related studies were reviewed in order to analyze the generative structure of the meaning and the binary-opposition in the convergence of body, fashion design and technology. Literatures and selected designer's collections were reviewed and quantitatively studies were performed to classify the convergence of human bodies, fashion design and technology through Greimas Semiotics rectangle based on binary-opposition of meaning and isotophy analysis. The research presents three types of fashion technology methods: mechanical movement, light/digital media, and virtual image. The convergence of fashion and technology was classified as the direct convergence and the indirect convergence. The direct convergence was characterized by variability and has automatic, independent movement, but the indirect convergence was shown closed and to have contradistinctive images.
