This paper reviewed the relationship between job characteristics and incremental innovation, and the moderating effect of tenure. The results of multiple regression analysis, based on the responses from 241 employees in service industry, showed that job variety, identity, importance, autonomy and feedback have positive relationships with incremental innovation. In moderating effects, tenure interacts with variety and identity to have positive effects on incremental innovation, but tenure interacts with job importance, autonomy and feedback to have negative effects on incremental innovation.

The incremental parsing techniques are essential part of language-based environment which allow incremental construction of programs, as reparsing of modified part of the program alone enhances the system performance. A number of methods and algorithms have been proposed for incremental parsing and for the construction of incremental parsers. The purpose of this paper is to review the earlier incremental parsing algorithms which are too expensive in both time and space, and to present an efficient incremental LR parsing algorithm which is more efficient than the previous ones. In this paper, we generate automatically an extended LR parsing tables which allow the nonterminal symbols as well as terminal symbols for the input, and apply them to our efficient incremental LR parsing algorithm. Using these extended LR parsing tables. we suggest several methods to reduce its memory spaces and parsing steps as well. The algorithms described here were implemented in C language and YACC on a SUN UNIX OS, and were tested with several grammars and strings.

점진적 파싱 기법은 프로그램의 점진적 구성을 허용하는 언어기반 환경의 중요한 부분이며, 프로그램의 변경된 부분에 대해서만 구문분석을 다시 함으로써 시스템의 성능을 향상 시킨다. 기존의 점진적 파싱은 파싱 정보를 저장하기 위해 스택 자료구조를 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 스택 자료구조를 사용하지 않고 노드 주소로 스레드를 추가하여 스레드 트리 구성 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 구성된 스레드 트리를 사용하여 5단계의 점진적 파싱 과정으로 나누어 점진적 스레드 트리 구성 알고리즘을 제안한다.

This paper is to test the modulating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between personality and incremental innovation, and study of the relationship between incremental innovation and service Quality in service industry. Based on 507 data gathered in service companies in Korea, analysis results and showed that procedural, interactional, and innovative culture have affirmative relation with incremental innovation. Therefore innovative culture appeared to have some modulating effect on the relationship between personality and incremental innovation. And ana-lysis results of relationship between incremental innovation and service quality are followed; service innovation and process innovations showed positive effects except some operation innovations.

Low-income housing policies in South Korea have been pursued mostly by providing public rental housing for less privileged social groups. In contrast to this notion of housing, this article argues for housing ownership by low-income families. Two examples of this ownership policy are found in Chile. Incremental housing involves an open-ended housing platform, which requires home-dwellers to complete the construction process themselves. This article aims to examine structural, spatial and formal characteristics of the incremental housing projects. Taking the perspective of the home-dweller during the incremental construction process, we evaluate the houses before and after customization. Thus, we use data from field-work conducted for seven months in the Santiago Metropolitan Area of Chile. Using qualitative methods such as observation, semi-structured interviews, and surveys we focus on the Elemental Lo Espejo incremental housing project and then compare it with the Las Higuera housing project. The latter is representative of the incremental houses delivered by the Chilean government. In comparing these two projects, we aim to articulate the lessons of incremental housing with the intention of suggesting possible future developments for a wider-reaching incremental housing program.

This paper reviewed the relationship between personal factors(creativity, outwarding, entrepreneurship) and incremental innovation, and the moderating effect of tenure in the domestic service enterprises. Based on the responses from 306 employees, the results of hierarchical multiple regression analysis showed that all personal factors except creativity have positive relationships with incremental innovation factors. The results of moderating analysis showed that entrepreneurship have more positive effects on all incremental innovation factors while respondents' tenure being shorter.

A method of recognizing objects is proposed that uses a concept of modified incremental circle transform. The modified incremental circle transform, which maps bundaries of an object into an unit circle, represnets efficiently the shape of the boundaries detected in digitized binary images of the objects. It is proved that modified incremental circle transform of object, which is invariant under object translation, rotation, and size, can be used as feature information for recognizing two dimensional polygonal object efficiently.

In this paper, we propose a new incremental gradient method for solving a regularized minimization problem whose objective is the sum of m smooth functions and a (possibly nonsmooth) convex function. This method uses an adaptive stepsize. Recently proposed incremental gradient methods for a regularized minimization problem need O(mn) storage, where n is the number of variables. This is the drawback of them. But, the proposed new incremental gradient method requires only O(n) storage.

This paper introduces page-level rewrite interval prediction (PRWIP). By recording and analyzing the memory access history at page-level, we are able to predict the future memory accesses to any pages. Leveraging this information, this paper proposes a faster incremental checkpoint design by overlapping checkpoint phase with computing phase and thus achieves higher performance. Experimental results show that our new incremental checkpoint design can achieve averagely 22% speedup over traditional incremental checkpoint and 14% over the previous state-of-the-art work.
