A Study on Optimal Airspace Design for Continuous Climb Operation (연속상승운항을 위한 최적 공역 설계에 관한 연구)

  • This paper introduces a new airspace design method for continuous climb operation (CCO). The optimization problem is formulated as Mixed-Integer Linear Program (MILP) to maximize the upper limits of altitude on the waypoints to facilitate continuous climb for aircraft. In the proposed method, the interactions with other flight procedures are considered as well as various aircraft flight performances. The proposed method is applied to one of the departure procedures of Incheon International Airport (ICN) to demonstrate its performances.

  • 공항면세점 이용객은 항공기 탑승시간으로 인한 제한된 시간으로 인하여 이용객이 느끼는 시간압박과 추가 구매를 유도할 수 있는 충동구매 성향과 이에 따른 영향을 분석하기 위하여 인천국제공항 면세점에서 면세품을 구입한 후 항공기 탑승을 위해 대기중인 이용객 211명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 이를 분석하였다. 분석결과 충동구매 성향이 낮은 경우 시간압박은 충동구매 행동 및 재구매 의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치고, 충동구매 성향과 관계없이 만족도는 재 구매 의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 시간압박 및 충동구매 성향을 고려한 면세점 운영전략 수립에 반영할 수 있을 것이다.

Assessment of Potential for Liquefaction in the Large Reclamation Site Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 대규모 매립지반의 액상화발생가능성 평가)

  • In this study, the potential for liquefaction in the Incheon international airport was calculated by appling the standard penetration test data and laboratory test data to the modified Seed & Idriss(2001) method. The analysis was performed on the non-plastic silty layer and silty sand layer which within the depth of 20m, below 20 of the standard penetration value(N), and the ground water level. Also, each set of data was mapped by using GIS(geographic information systems) and the factor of safety for the potential for liquefaction was obtained by overlapping those layers. As a result, it was found that there exist potential hazard zone for the liquefaction partially. So, the additional detailed assessments for those are thought to be necessary.

  • Thirteen species of mealybugs were intercepted in quarantine at Korean ports of entry on plant materials from China over the past 9 years (2000-2009). Of these, Phenacoccus madeirensis Green has been newly reported in China through this study. This list and key are provided to assist in identifying intercepted specimens of mealybugs from China.

  • Maglev vehicles levitated and propelled by electromagnet as non-contact between vehicle and guide rail is environmentally friendly transport system which have many advantages like ride comfort and guide way construction costs. As a goal of commercial operation at Incheon International Airport in 2012, development of vehicle is underway and proto-vehicle is test running at KIMM. The maglev bogie system of proto-vehicle, like railway vehicle, has functions to support weight of vehicle, transfer force of brake and propulsion and improve ride comfort through insulation of vibration and improve curve negotiation capability. The main components of a bogie are two modules consisted of electromagnetic, frame and linear motor, two tie beams to connect two modules and steering system to improve curve negotiation capability. The purpose of this paper is to describe general specification, structure, manufacturing process, performance testing, ride comfort of proto-vehicle and bogie system.

  • 지난 2001년 3월 말 개항된 인천국제공항은 대규모의 현대화된 시설을 갖춘 첨단공항이지만 일부 시설은 수용 목표 연도인 2005년보다 훨씬 빨리 그 용량이 포화상태에 이를 것으로 전망되고 있다. 특히 44개에 불과한 탑승구는 개항과 동시에 첨두시간의 수요에 미치지 못하여 항공기가 원격주기장에 대기하는 경우가 발생하고 있다. 탑승구와 원격주기장을 합한 전체 주기장 60개도 2002년에는 포화상태에 도달할 것으로 예상되어 현 인천국제공항 1단계시설의 처리능력 향상을 위한 시설별 용량 불균형 해소 방안이 시급히 요청되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 현 인천국제공항의 시설별 용량을 점검하고 조기 포화가 예상되는 시설을 밝혀낸 후 2002년부터 건설에 착수하는 2단계 건설계획의 투자방향을 제시한다. 아울러 현재의 인천국제공항이 안고 있는 시설과 운영상의 문제점을 분석하고 이를 보완 또는 개선할 수 있는 정책방향을 제시한다.

Seed-borne Brachycladium penicillatum Intercepted under Plant Quarantine Inspection in Korea

  • A fungus detected from the importing seeds of Papaver rhoeas under plant quarantine inspection in Korea was identified as Brachycladium penicillatum Corda. It differed in morphological characteristics from a similar species, B. papaveris, which was known to form no macroconidiophores and no microsclerotia. Since the first interception in 2006, this fungus has frequently been found from importing seeds of Papaver spp. It was detected from 31 out of 282 seed consignments imported from 2006 to 2011. To prevent its introduction to Korea, the seed consignments infested by B. penicillatum were destroyed or reshipped.

  • Construction Management(CM) system, which was introduced some years ago to large national construction projects, such as the construction of Incheon New Airport, construction of high-speed railroad and World Cup stadiums, is considered to be still in its early stage and safety at each step of CM is very poorly controlled. In an attempt to improve such inferior safety management of domestic CM, this study made comparative analysis about operation system of safety management with CM system in domestic and abroad. Also suggested the model under consideration with CM, which is suitable for the situation of Korea.

  • In this paper, when structures are constructed in the soft ground with poor bearing capacity at Incheon International Airport(railroad area), as for the grouting columns built In soft ground by high pressure jet grouting with Triple tube rod(super injection grouting), the effects on reinforcement and bearing capacity of ground are investigated. A unconfined compressive strength tests has been performed on the specimens sampled from the grouting columns and a mass plate bearing test has been performed on a grouting column. The test results show that super injection grouting has a sufficient effect on composite ground improved of foundation ground and reatraint of settlement of structure.
