  • Wi Syndrome(痿證) mainly occurs from fluid damages[津液損傷] caused by heat in Gi(氣) phase of the Five viscera, while it sometimes come from the outside. Although the symptoms are presented in the limbs, the disorder roots in the Five viscera, most deeply located in the human body, Therefore, to approach the disorder, we must apply differentiation of the Five viscera in diagnosis. The Lungs, as the head of the Five viscera control the production and distribution of bodily fluids in the body. Functional disorder of the Lungs bring about Wi Syndrome regardless of it being in the Gi phase. Also, psychological depression leads to Wi Syndrome, In other words, depression and uneasiness easily results in the state of Gi blocking and fluid exhaustion in this modern society where there is less manual labor and excessive use of the brain. Besides Gi blockage, the top muscle[宗筋] theory is another important mechanism in the occurrence of Wi Syndrome. Moreover, the disorder is related to Yangmyeong(陽明), which is the sea of food, Chungmaek(衝脈) which is the sea of meridian, in addition to Immaek(任脈), Dokmeak (督脈) and Deameak(帶脈) which are all involved in Wi Syndrome. In conclusion, the Wi Syndrome happens when various factors involved lose balance and harmony with each other.

  • In the Policy and Charging Control(PCC) architecture of the 3GPP and WiMAX forum, the Policy and Charging Rule Function(PCRF) controls and configures the policies of quality of services(QoS) and accounting to a Policy and Charging Rule Enforcement Function(PCEF). In this paper, we categorize the errors into three types that include a disconnection with peer entity, a delayed or no response and a response with failure result, and propose a scheme to automatically synchronize the data between the PCRF and the PCEF for each type of error. Also, we conduct a quantitative analysis to see how much it can help to maintain the cell capacity of the mobile VoIP service in a WiBro network, which is implemented in Korea according to the standards of WiMAX. We can see that our proposed scheme improves the performances of PCC by preventing the waste of radio resources, the overload of systems, the memory leakage of servers, the system shutdown, and so on. We have validated the scheme by implementation, and reflected it in WiMAX standard documents.

  • WiSee is by utilizing the frequency of Wi-Fi(802.11n/ac), a technique for performing the operation recognized by the user's gesture. Current motion recognition scheme are using a dedicated device (leaf motion, Kinekuto) and the recognition range is 30cm ~ 3.5m. also For recognition range increases the narrow recognition rate, there is inconvenience for maintaining a limited distance. But WiSee is used by Wi-Fi it is possible to anywhere motion recognition if available location. Permeability also has advantages as compared with the conventional recognition method. In this paper I take a look at the operation process and the recent trend of WiSee.

  • To enable the coexistence of Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) and Wi-Fi in 5 GHz unlicensed bands, a new channel access mechanism is proposed. Accounting for the fairness between LAA and Wi-Fi, the proposed mechanism finds the optimal transmission time ratio by adaptively adjusting the transmission durations for LAA and Wi-Fi. In addition, we propose a new analytical model for the distributed coordination function of IEEE 802.11 through some modifications of conventional analytical models for saturation and non-saturation loads. By computing the activity ratio of Wi-Fi, the proposed analytical model is able to control the time ratio between LAA and Wi-Fi, which is required for practical implementation of the proposed access mechanism. Through numerical simulations, the proposed channel access mechanism is compared with conventional methods in terms of throughput and utility.

  • In this paper, we analyze the distance between two systems, WiBro and WLAN, compared to standard interference probability for channel co-use in order to be used as a criteria in realization. Co-channel and adjacent channel interference probability and its effect of (WiBro) into Wireless LAN (WLAN) in TV White Spaces (TVWS) is evaluated through Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool(SEAMCAT) based on the Monte-Carlo simulation method. As a result, in the case of co-channel interference, the minimum distance between WiBro Mobile Station(MS) and WLAN User Equipment (UE) should be 210 m to allow the maximum transmitter power of WiBro UE of 25 dBm. The transmit power of WiBro BS have to be reduced to -4.96 dBm.

  • In schools and corporate buildings, public WiFi Access Points are installed on the ceilings of hallways. In the case of an architectural structure in which a WiFi signal enters through a steel door made of a material with high signal attenuation, Internet connection is frequently cut off or fails when the door is closed. To solve this problem, our research implements an economical and portable WiFi extender using a Raspberry Pi and an auxiliary battery. Commercially available WiFi extenders have limitations in the location where the power plug is located, and WiFi extension using the WiFi hotspot function of an Android smartphone is possible only in some high-end models. However, because the proposed device can be installed at the position where the Wi-Fi reception signal is the best inside the door, the WiFi range can be extended while minimizing the possibility of damage to the original signal. Experimental results show that it is possible to eliminate the shadows of radio waves and to provide Internet services in the office when the door is closed, to the extent that web browsing and real-time video streaming for 720p are possible.

  • In this paper, we designed monopole microstrip antenna for WLAN/WiMAX system. The monopole antenna is designed by FR-4 substrate with size is $30mm{\times}40mm$. The proposed antenna is based on a planar monopole design which cover WLAN and WiMAX frequency bands. To obtain the optimized parameters, we used the simulator, CST's Microwave Studio Program and found the parameters that greatly effect antenna characteristics. Using the obtained parameters, the antenna is designed. Thus the proposed antenna satisfied the -10 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while simultaneously covering the WLAN and WiMAX bands. And characteristics of gain and radiation patterns are obtained for WLAN/WiMAX frequency bands.
