A Study on the Achievement Motive and the Creativity of the Employee (종업원들의 성취동기와 창의성에 관한 연구)

  • The modem society has been talked as the age of uncertainty, the age discontinuity and the information society. The future society is forcasted the creativity society. Both the achievement motive and the creativity be suggested as an important factors to accomplish the individual goals and organizational performance. The achievement motive has the major implications in increasing the level of achievement motive between high and low creative group. The employee creativity is the emergence in action of a novel relational product, growing out of the uniqueness of the individual on the hand, and materals, events people or cirumstances of his life on the other. It has been treated as an impotant factor to solve the complex management ploblems for the management. The major purpose of this study are (1) to review the theory of an achievement motivation and the creativity, (2) to provide both management and scholars with the practical and useful implications on the development of the employee cretivity in improving the management performance.

The Effects of Practical Problem-Based Home Economics Instruction (PPBHEI) on Middle School Students' Creativity: Focusing on the Content on "Clothing Management and Recycling" (실천적 문제 중심 가정과 수업이 중학생의 창의성에 미치는 효과: '의복 관리와 재활용' 내용 요소를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the effects of Practical Problem-Based Home Economics Instruction (PPBHEI) on middle school students' creativity, focusing on the content on "clothing management and recycling." This study carried out quasi-experimental research with an independent variable of PPBHEI and a dependent variable of creativity. The experiment was based on a sample of 62 (31 in each group) second grade students in the Cheongju area over four class hours. ANCOVA was performed to examine pre-test and post-test differences between the experimental group and the control group. The results showed that PPBHEI did not improve the level of creativity but improved the level of creative motivation among the sub-elements of creativity (creative thinking, creative tendency, creative motivation). In particular, PPBHEI improved the level of independence in creative tendency, intrinsic motivation, and diligence in creative motivation. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that PPBHEI is effective in improving independence, intrinsic motivation, and diligence in respect of middle school students'creativity.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a fashion design creativity convergence education program based on creative thinking that can be effectively used to create a creative fashion design in the fashion education field, and to verify the suitability of this program and its effectiveness in improving creativity. To this end, a fashion design creative convergence program combining divergent thinking and convergence thinking was designed, and an experimental study was conducted among college students in the fashion design department. Creativity evaluation was conducted by evaluating students' creative ability and creativity of fashion design results. In addition, an open survey was conducted to collect learners' opinions on the suitability of the program and the convergence process of divergent and convergent thinking. As a result of this study, it was found that the fashion design creative convergence education program based on creative thinking improves the creative competency of major learners of fashion design and is the learning performance competency in the process of producing creative results. This study is meaningful as it is a basic study that proposes a fashion design education program to foster the creative competency of fashion design majors, and is expected to be used in various ways in the educational field.

  • The education has a intention of the best science technology in 21 century, creativity of them is been the most important. So, educationists are briskly making researches into existing programs of improving creativity, and they designed and implemented them. Our system provides the learners with instant feedback after solving the questions and can improve the creativity as evaluation module for tangram system using the web.

  • A programming class was conducted in a current discretionary activity time-slot for computer education by using Dolittle which enhances problem solving ability and creativity for the fifth graders in elementary school. Based on this experiment, a correlation between the programming class and problem solving ability, creativity, and interests in programming of children was examined to suggest an outlook for improving the current computer education.

What Makes Korea-Israel Science Teachers Inservice Program for Fostering Learners' Creativity Effective? (창의성 계발 과학교육을 위한 한국 - 이스라엘 과학교사 연수프로그램의 효율성)

  • The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of Korea-Israel science teachers inservice program. Thirty science teachers who participated in the inservice program responded to pre- and post tests of the survey instrument on (a) their perceptions to creativity fostering science education and understandings of current education status and reform movement, (b) degrees of changes about understanding of creativity and implementing teaching methods for fostering creativity before and after the program, and (c) their evaluative opinions on the program. Suggestions for improving the program were proposed as follows: First, a pre-service workshop for the program should be provided in order to clearly realize the essential purpose of the program through increase of participating teachers' understanding of facing conditions of education, school policy, reform movement toward science education fostering creativity. Second, for the content of the program, creativity is more emphasized. Appropriate content and sufficient time arrangement for creativity will develop teachers' conceptual understanding of creativity in depth. Third, classroom observation of exemplary science teaching for fostering creativity should be sufficiently arranged. Fourth, amount of content and time allotment to Israel culture, religion, and education system should be reduced.

An Empirical Research on Creativity Factors - Focusing on Seoul Fire Stations - (창의성 요인에 대한 통계적 실증연구: 서울특별시 소방서를 대상으로)

  • This research focuses on finding the way of improving creativity in fire stations by scrutinizing the factors influencing and enhancing creativity in organizations. As environmental changes including the needs of citizens as well as the climate change are moving culminated today, fire stations should be changed appropriately to get the legitimacy of existence not to mention their own mission accomplishments. In this respect, the creativity can be expected as the main factor for fire stations' going concern. This research provided 5 hypotheses to find whether the chosen factors such as vision, learning/unlearning and positive feedback affect the creativity in fire stations. To prove hypotheses are valid, we employed survey as a method in which 155 firemen in Seoul responded, ending up with getting the result that the vision formulation and sharing, unlearning activities and positive feedback improve organizational creativity. In conclusion, this paper suggests that fire stations establish useful policies for the creativity based on these research findings.

Relations Between Communication Satisfaction and Group Creativity in Organization (조직 구성원의 커뮤니케이션 만족이 인적자원의 집단 창의성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The main purpose of this study is to assess the relationship between communication satisfaction and group creativity. To achieve this purpose, this study has two objectives. First, I will identify the relationship between the satisfaction of communication and idea creation. Second, the relationship between communication satisfaction and problem solving activity will be statistically tested. The major findings of the study can be summarized as follows: First, Statistically significant positive relations were found between the communication satisfaction and idea creation. Especially, sub-construct for supervisor communication$({\beta}=0.14,\;p<.05)$, quality of media$({\beta}=0.13,\;p<.05)$, individual feedback$({\beta}=0.36,\;p<.001)$, organizational prospect$({\beta}0.31,\;p<.001)$ showed the statistically significant positive(+) relationship with construct in idea creation. Second, the measurement of communication satisfaction had showed statistically significant relationship with the problem solving activity. Especially, communication with supervisor$({\beta}=0.21,\;p<.05)$, quality of media$({\beta}=0.21,\;p<.001)$, organizational prospects$({\beta}=0.22,\;p<.001)$, and communication with subordinate$({\beta}=0.37,\;p<.001)$ showed the significant positive(+) relationship with problem solving activity construct. These consequences suggest that communication satisfaction of employee is effective in the improving the group creativity in organization. In the conclusion, this study present the satisfaction factor of employee communication as a incremental factor of group creativity.

  • This study attempted to develop and apply a physical computing SW education program applying design thinking. The produced SW education program was applied to 22 students in the 5th and 6th grades of J and B elementary schools located in Jeju-si. Computational thinking ability and creativity pre-test was conducted, and Physical computing software training applied design thinking was conducted over a total of 5 sessions for 20 hours, followed by a post-test on creativity and computational thinking ability. As a result of the verification, it was found that physical computing SW education program applying design thinking was effective in improving the creativity and computing thinking ability of elementary school students.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects on the effects of science lessons using six thinking hats techniques on creativity and science academic achievement. To verify the research problem, the subject of this study was fourth-grade students selected from four classes of an elementary school located in Busan. For ten weeks, the experimental group of 40 students was taught using the six thinking hats techniques. The comparative group also of 40 students, was taught in normal classes which used a Text-book. Children were given a creativity test and academic achievement test in science to measure the effects on six thinking hats techniques. Likert scales were used to gather students feedbacks on creativity and science academic achievement. Through these procedures, the following results were obtained: First, the six thinking hats techniques had a more effect on creativity than the normal classes, where a text-book was used. Second, the six thinking hats techniques could be seen to be effective in improving the student's academic achievements in science than the normal classes which used a Text-book. Third, the result of the student recognition investigation, we could know that the students showed lots of interest in the science lessons using six thinking hats techniques, and they were able to understand the scientific theories. As a result, the elementary science class with six thinking hats techniques had the effects of developing creativity and science academic achievement. It means the science class with six thinking hats techniques has potential possibilities and value to develop creativity and science academic achievement.
