A Study on the Impact of Servant Leadership Affecting Creativity : The Mediating Effect of Empowerment (서번트 리더십이 창의성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 임파워먼트 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify not only the impact of servant leadership affecting creativity but the mediating effect of empowerment. Creativity refers to the production of novel and useful ideas by an individual or by a group of individuals working together [2]. A survey was conducted by 301 employees. This study used the structure equation model which treated the servant leadership as independent variable and creativity as criterion variables. Empowerment was supposed as mediating variable of these relationships. As a result of this study, servant leadership had positive influence on empowerment. Empowerment had positive influence on creativity. Also servant leadership had positive effect on creativity at first, but it did not have a direct effect on creativity when empowerment was considered. These mean that empowerment is complete mediation variable because servant leadership no longer affects creativity after empowerment has been considered. Several implications, limitations and directions for future research were discussed.

The Impact of Leading Economic Indicators on the Export of ASEAN Countries

  • The article applies the ECM - ARDL model to examine the relationship between economic indicators and the existence of the disease in the long run of 10 ASEAN countries from 2000 to 2019. There are two models: The first model investigates the impact of GDP per capita, net inflow FDI, unemployment rate, and inflation rate on the proportion of export to GDP of ASEAN countries, the second model is similar to the first one but adds one more variable to the independent variable list - 'the variable for disease'. The results prove the long-run effect of GDP per capita, FDI, unemployment and inflation rate on export of the selected countries, though individual country shows differences in the sign and magnitude of these impacts. Surprisingly, the number of people suffering from disease does not affect the export of all selected countries as expected. The results of the two models also indicate that the disequilibrium in the short run converges to the equilibrium in the long run with a high proportion, especially in the case of Cambodia and the Philippines, with the rate of 95.65% and 151.94%, respectively. The findings can be useful for policymakers in promulgating efficient policies to enhance the trading activities of the selected countries.

  • The study aims to examine and analyze the factors that affect the return on assets (ROA) by placing net interest margin (NIM) as a moderating variable in influencing ROA. This research was conducted on 27 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2015 to 2018 with a total sample data of 91. The data used is a combination of time series data and cross-section data. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique used was path analysis with multiple regression analysis technique. The results of the analysis showed that the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) and loan to deposit ratio (LDR) have a positive but insignificant effect on ROA. NIM as a moderating variable does not influence the impact of CAR on ROA. However, NIM as a moderating variable is able to influence the impact of LDR on ROA. From the results of this study, it is evident that the LDR will increase the ROA at banks that generate high NIM.

  • Purpose: This study aims to dissemination a new concept based on empirical research on enhancing entrepreneurship intention (EI) in the theory of planned behavior (TPB) through entrepreneurship mindset (EM) and task technology fit (TTF). The TTF is a moderating variable in strengthening the relationship between EM and EI. Research design, data, and methodology: This research design was quantitative research. The respondents were 202 students from Malaysia and Indonesia who had filled out and collected an online questionnaire in Microsoft form. Three hypotheses examined the direct influence and the indirect impact of EM on EI through antecedent variables of TPB, and the effect of TTF as moderating variable to enhance the relationship between EM and EI. The data was analyzed using the WarpPLS version 7.0. Results: The result showed that EM had a significant impact on the students' EI. The interaction of EM and TTF was significantly able to improve EI. Conclusions: The findings contributed new ideas to develop the theoretical framework of the TPB model and were able be utilized by lecturers to consider the integration of EM and TTF in the model. The novelty of this study elaborated the EM and TTF variables as an extended model of the TPB.

The Effects of Empowering Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: Focusing on Mediation Effects of Self-efficacy

  • This study verified the structural relations among empowering leadership, self-efficacy and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in social welfare organizations. To this end, the study chose self-efficacy as an intervening variable and OCB as a dependent variable by considering the characteristics of social welfare organizations and their works. The study found that empowering leadership has a significantly positive impact on self-efficacy while both self-efficacy and empowering leadership have a significantly positive impact on OCB. Self-efficacy has meditating effects on the relationship between empowering leadership and OCB. Based on these results, the study suggests policy implications for the improvement of social workers' self- efficacy and OCB through empowering leadership in social welfare centers.

  • After the year of 2000, compositions of stock holders in domestic firms are rapidly changing. In domestic stock market, the proportion of market value held by foreign investors reaches over 40%. There are several blue chip companies among those where foreign investors hold more than 50% of the stocks. There are still hot debates going on about whether the increase in the number of foreign investors contributes to domestic companies. This research attempted to determine foreign ownership increases enhance firm value empirically. It has been shown that foreign ownership variable has significant positive impact on Tobin's Q of firm value variable. The result suggests that foreign ownership increases in domestic corporations positively contribute to firm value, as they monitor and keep the management transparent as an institutional investor, and they work to soothe agency problems by the managements or the large stock holders.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the impacts of shopping value, customer satisfaction, and switching barrier on consumer loyalty to website. For this purpose, the study tested covariance structural model which set relationships among independent variable(shopping value), meditated variables(customer satisfaction and switching barrier), and dependent variable(website loyalty). The data were collected from a sample of 239 internet shopper of college female students. The covariance structural model and research hypothesis analyzed by using SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 5.0 program. The results are as follows: First, the structural model is accepted significantly. Second, shopping value had a positive influence on customer satisfaction and switching barrier. Third, shopping value, shopping satisfaction of customer, and switching barrier had a positive impact on website loyalty. Forth, shopping value had a positive impact on website loyalty directly, it was found to have a indirect effect on website loyalty through customer satisfaction and switching barrier.

  • Sales Rate is a key parameter whose indications on real estate market plays a key role in prospecting and establishing governmental policies and strategies for Condominiums. However, it's not easy to present systematic model for tracing the effects of this parameter on sales rate without definite concept and relations with sales rate. Therefore, this study (1) derives factors affecting Sales Rate of Condominiums, (2) specially, gives an analysis of correlation with variable for the rest of factors based on economic factors, and then finds out its influential relation, (3) presents diagrammatic analysis model of all impact variables by factor to grasp on the whole for Sales Rate of Condominiums.

  • Brand Relationship Quality(BRQ) reflects the intensity and viability of the enduring association between a consumer and a brand so it is assumed to be the indicator which can affect brand performance such as brand satisfaction, brand attitude, and brand loyalty. The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural equation model showing the path between BRQ and brand performance. The subjects were women in their 20s to 40s living in Seoul and other metropolitan areas. 482 copies of questionnaire were analyzed by reliability, Pearson's correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis using SPSS 11.0 Package and AMOS 5.0 Package. The results showed that BRQ had positive influence on the brand performance-brand satisfaction, brand attitude, brand loyalty. As for the total effect about brand loyalty, BRQ was the most influential variable compared with other variables- brand satisfaction, brand attitude. The indirect impact of BRQ on brand loyalty is bigger than the direct impact of BRQ and brand satisfaction emerged as the important intermediate variable between BRQ and brand loyalty. Therefore, effective marketing strategy can be accomplished according to differential impact of the BRQ facets to induce consumer's satisfaction, which can lead to brand loyalty.

Impact of Regional Emergency Medical Access on Patients' Prognosis and Emergency Medical Expenditure (지역별 응급의료 접근성이 환자의 예후 및 응급의료비 지출에 미치는 영향)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the regional characteristics on the accessibility of emergency care and the impact of emergency medical accessibility on the patients' prognosis and the emergency medical expenditure. Methods: This study used the 13th beta version 1.6 annual data of Korea Health Panel and the statistics from the Korean Statistical Information Service. The sample included 8,119 patients who visited the emergency centers between year 2013 and 2017. The arrival time, which indicated medical access, was used as dependent variable for multi-level analysis. For ordinal logistic regression and multiple regression, the arrival time was used as independent variable while patients' prognosis and emergency medical expenditure were used as dependent variables. Results: The results for the multi-level analysis in both the individual and regional variables showed that as the number of emergency medical institutions per 100 km2 area increased, the time required to reach emergency centers significantly decreased. Ordinal logistic regression and multiple regression results showed that as the arrival time increased, the patients' prognosis significantly worsened and the emergency medical expenses significantly increased. Conclusion: In conclusion, the access to emergency care was affected by regional characteristics and affected patient outcomes and emergency medical expenditure.
