  • We propose an encryption method using visual cryptography and virtual phase images. In the encryption process, the original image is shared by virtual images and the decryption key image. We multiply the virtual phase images with each complex image, which has the constant value of its sum after performing the phase modulation of the virtual images and the decryption key. The encryption cards are made by Fourier transforming the multiplied images. It is possible to protect information about the original image because the cards do not have any information from the original image. To reconstruct the original image, all the encryption cards are placed on each path of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer and then the lights passing through them are summed. Since the summed image is inverse Fourier transformed by a Fourier lens, the phase image is multiplied with the decryption key and the output image is obtained in the form of intensity on the CCD plane. Computer simulations show a good performance of the pro-posed optical security system.

  • Color digital images are used in many multimedia applications and in many vital applications. Some of these applications require excellent protection for these images because they are confidential or may contain confidential data. In this paper, a new method of data cryptography is introduced, tested, and implemented. It will be shown how this method will increase the security level and the throughput of the data cryptography process. The proposed method will use a secret image_key to generate necessary private keys for each byte of the data block. The proposed method will be compared with other standard methods of data cryptography to show how it will meet the requirements of excellent cryptography, by achieving the objectives: Confidentiality, Integrity, Non-repudiation, and Authentication.

  • Data Security is the most challenging area in Internet communication, where most of the secret sharing schemes are proposed for binary images. But still it lacks in providing security for data communication, especially in image transmission. Traditional visual cryptography scheme generate meaningless diwies and the reconstruction phase leads to quality degradation over the secret image. In this work, an intelligent two dimensional secret share construction scheme is proposed. A secret image is expanded into n diwies with the choice of scheme selection. By Stacking all the qualified diwies to revert the secret image without content loss and less than s* - 1 shares could not reveal any information about the secret image. The experimental results emphasize that the proposed secret share scheme is highly secured for image transmission.

  • In this paper, a novel robust medical images watermarking scheme is proposed. In traditional methods, the added watermark may alter the host medical image in an irreversible manner and may mask subtle details. Consequently, we propose a method for medical image copyright protection that may remedy this problem by embedding the watermark without modifying the original host image. The proposed method is based on the visual cryptography concept and the dominant blocks of wavelet coefficients. The logic in using the blocks dominants map is that local features, such as contours or edges, are unique to each image. The experimental results show that the proposed method can withstand several image processing attacks such as cropping, filtering, compression, etc.

  • 서울Visual cryptography scheme is a simple method in which can be directly decoded the secret information in human visual system without performing any cryptographic computations. This scheme is a kind of secret sharing scheme in which if a secret of image type is scattered to n random images(slides) and any threshold (or more) of them are stacked together the original image will become visible. In this paper we consider (2, n) visual cryptography scheme and propose a new construction method in which the number of expanded pixels can be reduced by using the sample matrix. The proposed scheme can futhermore distribute the multiple secret image to each group according to the difference of relative contrast.

  • visual cryptography is a simple method in which secret information can be directly decoded in human visual system without any cryptographic computations. This scheme is a kind of secret sharing scheme in which secret of image type is distributed to n random image(we call it share). When the secret image is distributed to n shares, the original pixel is expanded as much as the size of column in basis matrix. It causes the deterioration of contrast in docoded secret image. Therefore, many researches have performed to reduce the size of pixel expansion and to improve the contrast by overlapping the row in basis matrix for (k, n) visual cryptography. In addition, we show that the proposed method can construct the (k, n) visual cryptography with multiple contrasts depending on selecting k out of n slides in a group.

  • In this paper, we proposed an optical encryption method based in the concept of visual cryptography and interferometry. In our method a secret binary image was divided into two sub-images and they were encrypted by 'XOR' operation with a random key mask. Finally each encrypted image was changed into phase mask. By interference of these two phase masks the original image was obtained. Compared with general visual encryption method, this optical method had good signal-to-noise ratio due to no need to generate sub-pixels like visual encryption.

  • In this paper, we consider the method which a secret information is distributed in hard-copied image using visual cryptography that the secret can be identifying simply by human eyes. If slides constructed by patterning, which is one of dithering method, are considered from the viewpoint of visual cryptography, each slides will maintain the shape of original image because these slides have different Hamming weights. Therefore, this method has the advantage that information distributed into slides by stacking them can decode and the shape about the original image can be keeping as well. In this paper, we propose the method which shares the secret information into multiple original images by extension of ONM (Oka-Nakamura-Matsui) method which is devised to embed a secret information on hard-copied image. As a result, this proposed method is applicable to digital watermark because the copyright of image can be identified by stacking an image of owner for verification and the distributed multiple images.

  • Visual cryptography is a scheme that recovers secret image through human vision by overlapping distributed share images without cryptographic operations. Distribution methods are still being developed for improving quality of shared images keeping size of images invariant and enhancing robustness against resize of images. Since visual cryptography only uses shared images, this fact is exploited to attack. From this fact, a scheme safe for sharing distributed images is needed. In this paper, a new visual cryptographic scheme using cover image is proposed. This scheme reduces the chance of detection against steganalysis and increases security. In addition, this paper shows that the proposed scheme can completely decrypt secret image without creating noise.

  • Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is rapidly developing as a stable and reliable quantum-resistant form of cryptography, throughout the industry. Similarly to existing cryptography, however, it does not prevent a third-party from using the secret key when third party obtains the secret key by deception, unauthorized sharing, or unauthorized proxying. The most effective alternative to preventing such illegal use is the utilization of biometrics during the generation of the secret key. In this paper, we propose a biometric-based secret key generation scheme for multivariate quadratic signature schemes, such as Rainbow. This prevents the secret key from being used by an unauthorized third party through biometric recognition. It also generates a shorter secret key by applying Principal Component Analysis (PCA)-based Confidence Interval Analysis (CIA) as a feature extraction method. This scheme's optimized implementation performed well at high speeds.
