소비가치와 의복구매전 의사결정과의 관계 (Relating Consumption Values to Pre-purchase Decision Making of Apparels)

  • The purpose of this study was to measure consumption values and to investigate the differences in the process of decision making when purchasing apparel products among groups divided by consumption values. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 550 subjects in their 20's and 30's from Sepember 29th to October 25th in 2001; 463 were used for the data analysis. The results of this study were as follows; Consumption values were classified into five factors: Practical/functional value, Social/conformitive value, Subjective/aesthetic value, Epistemic value and Conspicuous value. Subjects were classified into 4 groups based on consumption values: the Conspicuous, the Epistemic, the Social/conformitive and the Indifferent. There were significant differences among the four groups in selected motives in the problem recognition process. Significant differences were found among the groups in own taste & personality in the information search process. Significant difference were also found in the importance of design, color, price, coordination, fashion and self-image in the alternative evaluation process.

언어를 매개로 한 공간디자인 교육사례 (Cases of space design education by the media of Language)

  • Language is the method for communication. Semantician, G. Leech categorized the function of language as informational, expressive, directive, aesthetic and phatic one. Therefore, language can be defined as the social symbol system and the media for communication. Space, also, performs the role of symbol, information and communication. Space can be the media for the communication and the design can be logical construction process by it's arbitrary interpretation. The researcher considered the common points between verbal language and visual language as the tools for the mutual communication, tried to transit them into the 'space' as object language after analyzing 'image of poetry' as meta language, so that the old perspective of space design as function can be renewed as information system of the significant meaning delivery in the context of language's multiplicity, expandibility and changeability.

Digital Modelling of Visual Perception in Architectural Environment

  • To be the design method supporting aesthetic ability of human, CAAD system should essentially recognize architectural form in the same way of human. In this study, visual perception process of human was analyzed to search proper computational method performing similar step of perception of it. Through the analysis of visual perception, vision was separated to low-level vision and high-level vision. Edge detection and neural network were selected to model after low-level vision and high-level vision. The 24 images of building, tree and landscape were processed by edge detection and trained by neural network. And 24 new images were used to test trained network. The test shows that trained network gives right perception result toward each images with low error rate. This study is on the meaning of artificial intelligence in design process rather than on the design automation strategy through artificial intelligence.

의상디자인 발상법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fashion Designing Idea)

  • This paper focuses on development of a fashion design education course that will foster the talent and aesthetic consciousness of fashion design student. The writer reached the content of the designing ideas to practical applications as the defined scope of fashion design education. For designing idea in practical application : matching ideas, contrasting ideas, formative combinations and revisionism were used. For design ideas, the ideas developed by 飯塚弘子, 万江入重子, 香川達子 were used in revision. To detail the content of design education, fashion magazines, portfolios, photographs and related fashion design educational materials were used. 1. Matching ideas : it proposes such identical expression into costume by making a research of developing material, application form and color extraction from design sources. 2. Contrasting ideas : it proposes such opposite expression into costume by making a research of opposite to image, form, position and purpose from some object. 3. Formative combinations : it proposes such new expression into costume by combining a detail of costume with the other object. 4. Revisionism : it proposes such modified expression into costume by making a research of deletion, change, addition and conversion in costume.

  • Traditional patterns of Korea vary greatly and have excellent value in terms of artistic merit. Nevertheless because there are not enough the research and development of them, traditional patterns of Korea are not yet recognized in internationally aesthetic value. Therefore the development of designs modernizing traditional patterns of Korea is urgently needed. In this study, I chose Four gracious plants as the subject materials of textile design development. Before everything I examined data of Four gracious plants expressed on Blue and white porcelain. And I chose data that are suitable to express modern image among them. I set my face to develop the textile design of Korean images by adding modern scenes with them. Also, I were trying to make fashion products like muffler and tie by using techniques such as burn out, crayon dying and spray dyeing.

  • A school uniform leads students to good behavior and have them enjoy desirable school life. We analyse the students' view through questionnaire. We asked 544 students questions about the degree of satisfaction on color, design and style of their uniforms. By analyzing the result of the questionnaire, we found the style of the uniform that students preferred. In this study, we suggest some useful information which is necessary to develop new uniform based on utility and creative aesthetic sense. The questionnaire using this research grounded on the questionnaire of the previous study and the subject selected the random samples out of girls' high school student in Deagu·Kyungbuk Area. The result analysis was peformed by SPSS, one of the statistical analysis method.

  • 본 연구에서는 요즘 학습자들의 다양한 능력 수준과 심리적 요인들을 동시에 고려하여 VRML 저작툴을 이용한 가상전시공간을 설계하였다. 감상학습을 현실감있게 하고, 상호 작용적이며, 흥미로운 학습동기를 유발하고자 Photo Vista, Object Modeler, Reality Studio 등의 3D WBI 저작툴을 이용한 Panorama Image와 3D Object 모듈을 구현하는 방법을 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 이 가상 전시공간이 학생들의 미술교육에서 현실감있는 작품감상으로 학생들의 심미적인 면에 얼마나 많은 영향을 미치는지를 연구하고자 한다.

  • The space in today's digital era is developing in a new direction with the changing paradigm, which is different from that in the analog era. The space that appeals to the advanced technology mobilizes all the five senses of the space user with the technical elements of the more variable fields and aesthetic productions, and creates an interactive environment by motivating the user's active participation through the digital media. The environmental device called digital media connects the function pace with living performance. Unlike in the analog space, the different sides of the digital media space create a human consciousness that corresponds to the realistic ambience, further contributing to the lively condition. For the main production technique in the digital medias performance-active space, there are electronic image production, changeable production, impromptu-active production, light and sound production, and total artistic production that lead to the progressive interaction between man and space.

  • Water allows us to have artistic experiences of searching for the source of hints and techniques by bring about the emergence of the new representation new themes and new forms of arts. The water that holds a great deal of hidden meaning shape the image. This study attempted to investigate what mental relationship the concept of water had the mental phenomenon of water in hea-sang-kun-sun-do in terms of the event of contemporary fashion in the present-day age. This means the stream of thought to grope a new paradign of multi-cultruism that claims the coexistence of East and West civilizations in the contemporary civilization. The meaning of water is developed fabrics connected with the water and the water emerge the issue in contemporary fashion. And the concept of water as the meaning concept is used as the tool to represent a certain issue in silhouette and fabrics not only the introduction as substantial water into fashion giving the fashion designer's emotion to shape and representing the fashion designer's aesthetic needs by emphasizing with the designer.

  • Railway route maps including subways is a guide map which offers transport information as well as cartographic diagrams and is not only a way of communication, but it should give also concrete image and pleasing form. The elements of route map should meet satisfaction requirement condition and design attributes with aesthetic principles. To guide passengers by giving geographic information effectively, we need to understanding the following concepts and its application of basic elements such as expressing its structure and value. Therefore it should appear as a diagram with typography, form, symbols and colour. This means the aim of a good visualization should be done by a method that is concrete and a synthesis of well composed elements.
