Displacement-based design method for an energy-dissipation self-centering wall panel structure

  • The seismic performance of traditional steel frame-shear wall structures was significantly improved by the application of self-centering steel-reinforced concrete (SRC) wall-panel structures in the steel frames. This novel resilience functionality can rapidly restore the structure after an earthquake. The presented steel frame with steel-reinforced concrete self-centering wall-panel structures (SF-SCW) was validated, indicating its excellent seismic performance. The seismic design method based on bear capacity cannot correctly predict the elastic-plastic performance of the structure, especially certain weak floors that might be caused by a major fracture. A four-level seismic performance index, including intact function, continued utilization, life safety, and near-collapse, was established to achieve the ideal failure mode. The seismic design method, based on structural displacement, was proposed by considering performance objectives of the different seismic action levels. The pushover analysis of a six-floor SF-SCW structure was carried out under the proposed design method and the results showed that this six-floor structure could achieve the predicted failure mode.

  • This paper describes a detailed simulation model of the static condenser (STATCON) to analyze the dynamic interaction with the ac transmission line. The static condenser was represented by a 12-pulse voltage-source inverter sharing an energy storage dc capacitor. The voltage-source inverter consists of two 6-pulse bridges modeled with ideal gate-turn-off switches. The control system for the static condenser was designed through a mathematical model deduced from the equivalent circuit. Simulation results show that the conceived model is very effective to analyze the dynamic interaction between the static condenser and the ac transmission system.

  • In this paper, we present a solution to the PID tuning problem by optimizing a GPC(General Predictive Control) criterion. The PID structure is ensured by constraning the parameters to a feasible set defined by the discrete-time Euler approximation of the ideal continuous-time PID controller. The algorithm is ectended by incorporating heuristic rules for selection of the significant design parameters. The algorithm has been successfully tested and some results are prewented.

섭식장애/이상섭식 여자대학운동선수와 일반여자대학생의 특성 및 위험요인 (Differentiation of Risk Factors between Female Collegiate Athletes and non-Athletes with Eating Disorders/Disordered Eating)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 섭식장애 증상이 있는 여자대학운동선수와 일반여자대학생의 특성을 파악하고, 위험요인을 분석하는데 있다. 378명의 운동선수와 567명의 일반여대생이 참여하였다. 각 참여자는 자기기입형 검사지(섭식장애검사지/이상섭식 검사지, SATAQ, RSES)가 사용되었다. 운동선수집단에서 22명, 221명이 각각 섭식장애와 이상섭식으로 나타났으며, 비운동선수 집단에서 22명, 205명이 섭식장애와 이상섭식으로 분류되었다. 섭식장애와 이상섭식 증상을 가지고 있는 두 집단의 특성 중 각각 6가지와 7가지 변인에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 단계적 회귀분석의 결과 섭식장애/이상섭식 증상이 있는 운동선수집단과 비운동선수 집단의 위험요인은 다르게 나타났다. 마름에 대한 갈망과 자존감은 두 집단에서 필수요인이었지만, 운동선수집단에서는 신체불만족, 완벽주의, 내재화 요인 또한 주요 요인으로 나타났다. 이는 섭식장애/이상섭식을 가지고 있는 여자 대학 운동선수들이 다양한 형태의 위험요소를 가지고 있는 것이라 할 수 있다.

Accuracy-improvement simulation of self-mixing semiconductor laser range finder driven by reshaped modulation current

  • Accuracy improvement of a self-mixing semiconductor laser range finder is predicted by simulation, in which the laser modulation current is reshaped to give an ideal triangular waveform of the optical frequency change. The maximum range measurement error of less than 0.1% in a wide range of O.1m to 1m is expected by the reshaping of the modulation current. Experimental verification of the effect of current reshaping on the linearization of the derivative of the optical frequency change curve is given.

  • Impedance calculations of electric railway traction systems is essential to define characteristics and to design it. The self impedance is defined voltage drop rate per unit length, the mutual impedance is represented as a voltage induced to transmission line from transmission line. The self and the mutual impedance are influenced by ground return currents. The earth is considered as a semi-infinitely extended non-ideal conductor. The current of transmission line produces earth current induced magnetically and it flow through a path having minimum impedance. Carson proposed the impedance calculation formula using wave equations and magnetic field equations. Though the formula have an improper equation, that is still used as a standard impedance calculation method. This paper introduced an impedance calculation method that the complex depth of earth return method assumes that the current in conductor returns through an imagined earth depth path located directly under original conductor at a depth of. In this paper, we showed that this proposed method has a closed form and is easier than Carson's.

Farm-Housing 조성에 관한 지원방안 연구 (The Study of Supporting Plan for Create Farm-Housing)

  • There is a rental housing policy in Korea to support low income citizen. However, the living condition of tenants through this rental program is not work for improving, unlike the initial purpose of providing rental housings. Rental housings, which were planned to improve the residential welfare and enhance self-reliance ability of low income groups and the elderly. It's not effective any more in terms of policy purpose. To solve this problem, plans are needed to support for the construction by Farm-Housing(FH) so that the residents of can support their self-reliance by promoting creating jobs and cooperation. This paper analyze and propose some solution in terms of legal system, financing and streamlining of planing process and permission to support FH program. The paper focus purpose to help identify a new area through such proposals and retain a power of leading technology by bridging the gap between the realistic aspect and ideal aspect.

Research of the adaptive control on modulation factor for PSR fly-back PSM converter

  • The energy balance (EB) model of a primary side regulation (PSR) fly-back converter in the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) is discussed in this paper. Based on this EB model, the stability of a PSR fly-back converter in the pulse skipping mode (PSM) is analyzed, and a self-adapting modulation factor control strategy is proposed. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that by saving an optocoupler and correlative circuits, which are necessary in traditional PSM fly-back converters, the modulation factor tolerance controlled by this method is 1.26% on average, corresponding to the ideal value. Compared with traditional fly-back PSM controllers, the power saved in the sampler/comparator modules is 87% on average for a load range of $1{\Omega}$ to $1k{\Omega}$.

  • In securing durability of underground structure non-exposed waterproof materials, the company aims to improve durability of waterproof materials by studying more realistic weather conditions than KS standards and developers' durability standards. Analyzing the actual climate data in Korea and the temperature of the basement layer, it is a waterproofing sheet method, a self-adhesive sheet method in which a film and a compound, which are currently widely used as underground water-proofing, and a self-adhesive waterproofing sheet method, etc. We would like to present the guidelines necessary to prevent the temperature situation and waterproof defects that are ideal for setting the endurance conditions later.

화학요법에 관한 개별적 환자교육이 암환자의 지식과 자가간호 수행에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Anti Chemotherapy Individualized Education Relationship with Knowledge and Promoting Self Care for Cancer Patients)

  • The Cancer Patients are rapidly growing and it became one of the main cause of death. Lately with the effect of Chemotherapy, drastically improved patients quality of life and also Prolonged Life of Cancer Patients. But the Chemotherapy not only Kill the Cancer cells but also harm to normal cells witch Cancer lots of side effect. This study was designed to identify the effectiveness of patient education to reduce side effect and help promote self care. The date was collected from October, 2001 to February, 2002 by questionary Survey Method. The subjects were 24 patients Who were and Anti Chemotherapy C University Hospital. Educated booklet contained what is Chemotherapy, what are the side effects, and to promote Self care, Pre test was given after 3-4 weeks re admission period. Analysis data was done by SPSS Program Paired t-test was used to differentiate Knowledge and difference of performing self care. Relationship in between Knowledge and promoting Self care was used Pearson Correlation. As the result of education, knowledge of self care and performance was drastically increased but the relationship in between knowledge of self care performed was not significant. Therefore it is proposed as follows: 1) Further research with experienced subjects to differentiate experience group and control group. 2) Education program need to be develop and standardize for anti cancer Chemotherapy patient. 3) During 6 cycle of Chemotherapy what is ideal number of in order to get the best result.
