  • This study aims to analyze the causality relationship between sectoral stock markets (agricultural, financial, industrial, and mining sectors) and economic growth in the short and long term as well as to analyze whether it has similar types or not. The data used is quarterly time-series data (first quarter 2009 to fourth 2019). To determine the causality relationship, this study conducts a variable and multivariate causality test. The results of the varying granger causality test show that there is only a one-way relationship, where the economic growth of the agriculture sector affects its shares. A one-way relationship also occurs in stocks of the industrial sector, which has an influence on economic growth. The multivariate causality test shows that the economic growth of the agricultural sector has a two-way causality relationship, and it also exists between the industrial sector and the financial sector stock markets. The two-way causality relationship between the stock market and sectoral economic growth is a convergence towards long-term equilibrium. The findings of this study suggest that the government through the Financial Services Authority and the Indonesia Stock Exchange have to maintain stability in the stock market as a supporter of the national economy.

  • The importance of the public sector's role in fostering a positive business climate has prompted public sector organizations to consistently enhance their performance. The study aims to develop service orientation dimensions for public sectors and examine the relationship between service orientation and organizational performance. A field survey was employed in this study. Six hundred questionnaires were distributed, and four hundred and eighty-eight were returned and analyzed. Factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were used in the dataset. This study identifies five dimensions of organizational service orientation in public sector service organizations: technology-service standard-communication, service vision, service delivery, service training and powering, and servant leadership. The result also concludes that service orientation influences organizational performance, such as corporate growth, service quality image, IT effectiveness, service innovation, and public complaint. This study's findings imply that public sector organizations should rectify service orientation factors to increase corporate growth, service quality image, IT effectiveness, service innovation, and public complaint reduction. Managerial guidelines are presented for developing a service orientation.

  • A modeling framework and its computational methodology for an industrial sector of the economy are investigated. The suggested industrial sector model is characterized by a programming (process analysis) representation of a production sector and an econometric estimation of the price sensitive (own and cross-prices) demands. By introducing the price sensitive demands into the process analysis representation of the production sector, it becomes possible to analyze and plan the pricing policy, the optimal production schedules and capacity expansion plans within a single framework. The computational scheme suggested in the report is based on the iterative approach each of which solves a separable convex programming problem.

  • In this paper, three dimensional static and dynamic analyses of two dimensional functionally graded annular sector plates have been investigated. The material properties vary through both the radial and axial directions continuously. Graded finite element and Newmark direct integration methods have been used to solve the 3D-elasticity equations in time and space domains. The effects of power law exponents and different boundary conditions on the behavior of FGM annular sector plate have been investigated. Results show that using 2D-FGMs and graded elements have superiority over the homogenous elements and 1D-FGMs. The model has been compared with the result of a 1D-FGM annular sector plate and it shows good agreement.

  • Although the microfinance sector in Bangladesh is mainly driven by Non-Governmental-Organizations (NGOs), there are other types of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) that also provide financial services to the poor. Despite the criticism of microfinance programs, the current poverty situation in Bangladesh still requires such programs for consistently battling poverty. Hence, the aim of this paper is to profile the microfinance sector based on their legal status and investigate any possible differences (if any) between them in various aspects. After a thorough investigation of the sector, it was found that around 33 million of the clients are being served by the mainstream MFIs (NGO and Grameen Bank) while another 10-15 million clients are served by other types of MFIs (financial cooperatives, credit unions, various ministries etc.), accounting for the one-third of the total population in Bangladesh. While the mainstream MFIs basically works with poor, other categories of MFIs are concerned with relatively wealthy clients. Looking into the financial performance and social intermediation of the MFIs, the NGO-MFIs performed better than other types of MFIs in the sector.

  • Energy consumption in Korea and Japan has already progressed to high level. Especially, it will be important to take up the effort to achieve further energy savings in residential sector that has significant increase both nations. For this reason, research for energy consumption and saving method in residential sector compare Korea with Japan that of similar data to grasps the direction for energy savings. In addition for introduction of distributed energy system to residential sector, such as apartment house, the electricity and gas demand was simulated. To be more specific, several key characteristics were studied, such as housing type housing scale and width of common space.

  • Bargaining theory with asymmetric information is widely accepted to explain labor disputes. Even though it secures theoretical consistency, it needs to be supplemented to explain disputes and negotiation more accurately. This paper shows that it may be assisted by bargaining theories based on the economics of psychology as well as theories on bargaining practices which are popular in other academic fields. The former suggests the occurrence of asymmetric information is related with the perception of the players of bargaining. The latter does they do not exchange offers as the typical theory of bargaining with asymmetric information assumes. When the latter is applied to explain the labor disputes of the public sector, it explains clearly their features and the differences from those of the private sector.

  • The Fourth Sector has been attracting attention as a means to solve the various problems plaguing modern society; it emerged to overcome the Third Sector's issues such as excessive reliance on the government and service model isomorphism, represented by social economy enterprises (Meadows, 1972; Howaldt & Schwarz, 2010). Social venture companies have been mentioned as key agents of the Fourth Sector (Gyeonggi Research Institute, 2018). However, the academic and policy concepts related to social ventures continue to be vague. Therefore, this study aims to clarify the concept of social ventures as part of the Fourth Sector, and research development strategies for the vitalization of the social venture ecosystem in an effort to encourage inclusive growth of society. To achieve these goals, it establishes the concept of social ventures differentiated from the Third Sector, based on previous studies, and presents the importance of an intermediate support organization for the ecosystem's vitalization. Furthermore, to propose strategies for said vitalization, the study derives detailed forms of social venture intermediate support organizations, and provides suggestions regarding their importance and roles through social innovation levels.
