The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual condition of the multicultural family support center in Gyeongnam area in order to provide more faithful services for the multicultural family members. As a research method, the social characteristics of multicultural families were examined through literature review, and the installation and operation standard of the support center was reviewed. In addition, 15 multicultural family support centers set up and operated in Gyeongnam area were identified and the characteristics of the plan composition of the detailed case facilities were identified. As a result, the characteristics of multicultural family support center area size, composition type, and operation type were revealed. Through analysis of the spatial areas of the regional support centers of cities and counties, it was revealed that 42.1% of the education area, 40.7% of the administrative area, 12.0% of the consultation area and 5.2% of the exchange area were analyzed. In addition, when the dedicated area of the multicultural family support center is a small-scale facility, it has been found that the space for administration, counseling, and education is secured.
Purpose: This study was to identify the levels of functional status, depression, family support and their relationship among those variables in head and neck cancer patients. Method: The subjects were 100 patients with head and neck cancer patients who visited at outpatients clinic in one university hospital in Taegu. The instrument used for this study were Functional Status in Head & Neck Cancer - Self Report Scale developed by Baker(1995), Self-Rating Depression Scale by Zung(1965) and Family support assessment tool by Kang hyun-suk(1984). The data were analysed percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA and pearson's corelation using SAS program. Result: There was significantly negative correlation between functional status and depression(r=-.71) and between depression and family support(r=-.56). The relationship of functional status and family support was significant as r= .33. Conclusion: It was found that functional status, depression and family support of head and neck cancer patient were closely related each other. Therefore it is necessary to design nursing intervention to enhance family support or decrease depression for improving quality of life in head and neck cancer patient.
This research is designed to identify factors that affect life satisfaction of the Korean elderly by studying residential environments and individual personalities as independent variables, and life satisfaction of the elderly as a dependent variable. It also includes emotional and instrumental support to describe relations between variables as mediating variables. It utilizes a questionnaire survey as its research method and studies those aged 65 and over living in urban, suburban and rural areas. In addition, regression and path analysis is used to identify casual links between different variables. The results are as follows: (1) Direct factors that impact emotional support are home ownership (direct effect= -.18) and transportation services (.15). That is, those who own their home and have easy access to public transpiration show increased levels of emotional support. (2) Direct factors that affect instrumental support are economic status (direct effect= .311) and living arrangement (.17). In other words, those who are financially stable and live with their children have more instrumental support. (3) Factors linked directly to life satisfaction of the elderly are their age (direct effect= -.10), health status (.19), economic status (.25), region of living (.22) and housing type (.19). (4) Among the mediating variables, emotional support has direct effect (.45) while instrumental support has indirect effect (.16).
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between the feeling of powerlessness, social support and life satisfaction in the elderly. Methods: The subjects were 158 old people aged over 65 who were attending one of one college and three settlement houses for senior citizens located in B city. Results: The relationship between the feeling of powerlessness and life satisfaction was in a moderate negative correlation with each other (r=-.433, p=.000). The relationship between social support and life satisfaction was in a moderate positive correlation with each other (r=.410, p=.000). It was found that the higher social support was, the higher life satisfaction was. There was remarkable difference in the form of family (F=2.69, p=.023), the form of residence (F=5.29, p=.002), whether to belong to a group (F=2.26, p=.025). Conclusion: For the reasons stated above, as the feeling of powerlessness is lower and social support is higher, life satisfaction is higher. The results clearly show that in order to improve life satisfaction of the elderly, we need to ease their feeling of powerlessness and enhance social support to them. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a nursing intervention program to reduce powerlessness and to improve social support for the elderly.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effects of social support and self-efficacy between academic stress and college adjustment in physical therapy students. Design: Survey. Methods: 75 subjects were surveyed about the level of academic, Academic Stress, College Adjustment, Social Support, Self-Efficacy, and self-control. To confirm the cognitive function on brain activity were evaluated. Results: First, College students have higher academic stress and lower college adjustment. Higher social support and self-efficacy have lower academic stress and better college adjustment. Second, students with high academic stress need constant attention to increase their social support and programs to reduce academic stress. Third, students with high academic stress, low social support, and low self-efficacy can increase their cognitive strength through the brain wave thereby reducing the academic stress they are currently feeling. Conclusion: In order to improve the College Adjustment, it is considered that it is important to increase the cognitive function through brain train along with the development of a student management program that can reduce academic stress and increase social support and self-efficacy.
The purpose of study is to examine the effects of family support on the life satisfaction of elderly with disabilities and provide a ground necessary to improve it. Research was conducted on 167 elderly with hearing, visual and physical disabilities aged over 60 who were living in Seoul and Pusan. Telephone survey, sign language and interview, in accordance with types of disability, were adopted to collect data effectively. That is telephone survey was used for elderly with visual impairment whereas face-to-face interview for physical impairment and sign language for hearing impairment by volunteers. Collected data were analyzed, using hierarchical regression analysis. This study utilized two different models, direct effect model and buffering effect of social support in order to examine the effects of familial support on the life satisfaction of elderly with disabilities. Research findings suggest that the level of life satisfaction appeared to be low in general among elderly with disabilities and emotional family support exerted a positive effect on life satisfaction. In addition, it is empirically supported that emotional family support buffered the negative effect of economic limitations on life satisfaction. In other words, the effects of economic limitations as stress factor decreased with the increase in the frequency of emotional support, however, the level of life satisfaction decreased at a mercy of the stress factor of economic limitations with the decrease in the frequency of emotional support. Finally, this paper attempted to provide some alternatives to effectively improve life satisfaction among elderly with disabilities based on empirical findings.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship between the authentic leadership of the director, social support, and teacher efficacy perceived by early childhood teachers. Methods: The participants of the study were 433 teachers working at kindergartens and daycare centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The data collected through the survey were analyzed by applying a structural equation model. Results: As a result of the study, it was found that the authentic leadership of the director perceived by early childhood teachers had a positive (+) effect on the early childhood teachers' social support and teacher efficacy, respectively, and social support had a positive (+) effect on teacher efficacy of the early childhood teachers. The results showed that social support had a positive mediating effect in the relationship between the director's authentic leadership and teacher efficacy perceived by early childhood teachers. Conclusion/Implications: The results suggest that it is necessary to establish a social support system through the exercise of the director's authentic leadership in order to improve the teacher efficacy of early childhood teachers.
Family instability has a negative effect on not only an individual household but also the society. The government continues to operate family support centers as a countermeasure to family instability issues. A healthy and multicultural family support center is considered an effective support system that extends from a family unit to the local community. In this study, the satisfaction and demand levels of each center, located in Seoul and Incheon, were examined with respect to items such as operation contents, physical space, and organizational structure. The results showed that various efforts for creating a family-friendly community were implemented in healthy family support centers and multicultural family support centers. It was found that the center organizers and operators focused more on software and programs than on the physical environment. There was mostly a shortage of physical and environmental space. This space shortage limited the planned and ongoing activities in terms of the residents' self-directed participation and space formation for a family-friendly educational culture. Therefore, it was necessary to set up the space-related criteria for each center in order to solve this environmental issue. We identified the baseline data of the criteria for a center's physical and spatial design and size. In particular, it was suggested that a more strategic physical and spatial design is needed to achieve an integral and effective operation for the connection of the family with the local society.

The purpose of the study is to examine the relationship between teacher enthusiasm, support for teacher autonomy, support for relationship with peers, and grit for preliminary high school students. This will be able to provide useful information for effective instruction and search for various teaching-learning methods in the physical education field. It was selected based on convenience sampling and judgmental sampling, focusing on those who participate in physical education classes for middle school students. Of the 200 respondents to the questionnaire, the study was conducted through 182 copies, excluding 18 questionnaires that were judged to be unreliable or responded collectively. When looking at the effects of physical education teachers' passion on autonomy support and relationship support, the hypothesis was adopted as it was found to have a statistically significant effect. Relationship support appeared to have a statistically significant effect on grit, so the hypothesis was adopted. However, support for autonomy was rejected as it did not appear to have a statistically significant effect on grit.

The government is promoting policies to increase policy efficiency by supporting corporate growth through corporate support and establishing the Ministry of SMEs and Startups as a control tower for corporate support projects. However, opinions on the efficiency of the government's corporate support project are divided, and this study aims to check how the government's corporate support project affects corporate performance and how absorption capacity and satisfaction, which are internal factors, affect corporate growth. Research was conducted on companies receiving government corporate support projects, and previous studies focused on financial support among government corporate support projects, while the effect of government corporate support was analyzed by dividing government support projects into financial and non-financial support, and absorption capabilities and corporate support satisfaction were analyzed. Through this, the effect on corporate financial performance and non-financial performance was empirically analyzed according to the mediating effect of absorption capacity and corporate support satisfaction in the government's corporate support project. As a result, both the government's financial and non-financial support had a positive effect on financial and non-financial performance, and it was confirmed that both absorption capacity and corporate support satisfaction mediate both financial and non-financial performance, and it was analyzed that it had a positive (+) effect. In order to improve the absorption capacity of a company, it is expected that it will be meaningful to improve the efficiency of the business by defining the problems faced by the company and suggesting solutions through the establishment of a supplier and consumer network.
