Methods: A questionnaire was administered to 182 senior paramedics who each had more than 3 years field experience. The questionnaire measuring preceptor role awareness was composed of 64 items with responses based on a 5 point Likert scale. Data were collected from July 31, 2018 to August 29, 2018, and were analyzed with IBM SPSS version 24.0. Results: The average score for preceptor role awareness was 3.87 (supervisor = 3.95, resource person = 3.88, role model = 3.85, and instruction designer = 3.81). There were significant differences in preceptor role awareness among the participants based on competence (p =.002) and clinical skill (p =.000). Also, there were high positive correlations between preceptor role awareness and its subdivision (p <.01). Conclusion: For effective operation of the preceptor system in the future, the preceptors' role as designers of instruction and role models should be enhanced, Also, future preceptors are very important in the improvement of competence and clinical skill in the preceptor system. • Objectives: This study was conducted to confirm the relationship between role conflict, positive psychological capital, and the psychological well-being of dental hygienists and to provide data for improving professionalism by increasing the psychological well-being of dental hygienists. Methods: From May 21 to June 22, 2023, 190 data were collected through an online community of dental hygienists. The collected data were analyzed IBM SPSS program ver. 23.0 and AMOS ver. 26.0. Statistical analysis methods, convergent validity test, structural equation model analysis, and model fit were performed using independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, confirmatory factor analysis, structural model fit test, and path analysis. Results: The lower the role conflict of dental hygienists and the higher the positive psychological capital, the higher the psychological well-being. The lower the role conflict, the higher the positive psychological capital. However, there was no mediating effect between positive psychological capital and role conflict, as it was not statistically significant. Analysis of the total effect of role conflict and positive psychological capital on psychological well-being revealed that positive psychological capital had a greater influence on psychological well-being than role conflict. Conclusions: Psychological well-being was related to positive psychological capital and role conflict. Future efforts are needed to improve positive psychological capital and psychological well-being of dental hygienists and reduce role conflict.

  • Industrial revolution 4.0 makes business competition more challenging and will impact the instability of the company's financial performance. Dynamic environmental conditions make it difficult for companies to make predictions in making decisions. Investing in information technology (IT) is one way for companies to maintain financial stability and competitive advantage in dynamic competition. Resource-Based Theory (RBT) explains that information technology (IT) is a resource that can create a competitive advantage for the company. This study aims to examine the moderating role of dynamic industrial environments and IT strategic emphasis on the relationship between a lag effect of IT investment and firm's financial performance volatility. Using the data of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for five years starting from 2013-2017, the method used to estimate the research model's parameters is the generalized method of moments (GMM) approach. The results show that the industrial environment and the emphasis on IT strategy have a role in moderating and strengthening the relationship between the time lag in IT investment in reducing the firm's financial performance volatility.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of patient and doctor role-play on participatory clinical clerkship by surveying student's satisfaction and assessing the improvement of skill and consultation ability after conducting a role-play in a Korean dermatology department. Methods: In 2013, 79 seniors participated in the clinical clerkship of the dermatology department at the college of Korean medicine. Two students were randomly selected and paired up. After a brief instruction, one student played the role of doctor and the other took the role of patient. After finishing the $1^{st}$ role-play, they swapped roles and conducted a $2^{nd}$ role-play, using another clinical case. When the two role-plays were completed, the students filled in a questionnaire about their satisfaction with the role-play as clinical clerkship. Also, we compared the scores of the $1^{st}$ role-play with those of the $2^{nd}$ role-play measured by a medical resident to assess improvements of students' skill and interview ability. Results: It appears that students' satisfaction with the role-play was quite high, considering that the overall mean score of the questionnaire was 4.30. According to the result of a t-test on 15 assessment questions, the $2^{nd}$ role-play had a higher mean score than the $1^{st}$ role-play in 12 questions, though this difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions: These results demonstrate that role-play is helpful to improve students' satisfaction and clinical performance ability in clinical clerkship. Further research and continuous development are necessary for better clinical clerkship.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current states of role model and effects on the expertise development in engineers (i.e., undergraduate students and experts in the field of engineering). Based on the previous studies, role model was categorized into two domain, general role model and value sharing role model. A total of 257 participants (162 undergraduate students, 95 experts) answered survey questions about their role model (the number of their role model, the frequency of meeting with them, and the number of sharing value with them), major confidence, knowledge acquisition, and research performance. The results showed that engineers had 1 or 2 general role models and that the contents of role model were different between the two groups. The value-sharing role model significantly predicted major confidence and research performance in undergraduate students whereas the number of general role model was closely associated with major satisfaction in experts. These results suggest that it is important for engineering major students to have general role model and value-sharing role model in order to enhance expertise development. Establishing infrastructure for having and meeting with role models can facilitate the development of personal expertise in engineers.
