  • Industrial complexes are areas where manufacturing companies are integrated, and logistics between tenant companies play a very important role, but idle resources can occur depending on the situation if each company operates independently. Accordingly, this study aimed to reduce overall logistics costs and increase corporate productivity by looking at ways to share and utilize logistics resources such as warehouses and transportation equipment to efficiently utilize logistics resources in industrial complexes and implementing a logistics sharing platform that can share these idle resources. To this end, this study conducted a research survey on the logistics status of manufacturing companies in Ulsan-Mipo Industrial Complex, based on this analysis, the necessity of logistics resource types and utilization of industrial complex resident companies, and based on this, a service model for logistics resource sharing was studied. In addition, it was intended to analyze the operational characteristics of the existing logistics system to derive improvements and to derive optimal measures to utilize information on shared idle resources. This study confirmed the importance of sharing and utilizing idle resources to optimize logistics resources in industrial complexes, and is expected to contribute to reducing logistics costs and increasing logistics efficiency of tenant companies.

This study aims to investigate in-depth analysis of crisis overcoming strategies through case study of a company that is leader in the shipping and logistics industry. Research Desigh and Methodology : In order to conduct an in-depth analysis, a single case analysis was selected as a qualitative study. For this purpose, various secondary sources were used, and indirect interview data were also used. In this study, Maersk was selected because it has grown from a traditional shipping logistics company to a digital platform company. Results: Maersk has transformed itself into a comprehensive, digital logistics platform with several key strategies to respond to the long-term slump in the shipping industry. First, it leveraged Maersk's diversification and portfolio optimization strategy. Second, Maersk is transforming its logistics and transport processes through digitalization and technological innovation. Conclusion: Maersk, which is responding to the long-term recession facing the shipping industry, looked at how it has leveraged its strengths and explored new opportunities through a number of strategies and changes. This study provides insight into a digital logistics platform that will benefit the other companies as well.

These law and system is logistics security that strengthen search for import and export freight and security to main contents. To meet in these circumstance subsequent, this paper is to examine the following three themes. First, examined necessity of logistics security and logistics security strengthening tendency, and second, examined in achievement of logistics business and RFID, and third, presented logistics security process that utilize change of realization about logistics security and RFID's role for logistics security. Through upper investigation, this paper suggested the realization about logistics security raising, logistics security connection system construction by export step, real-time freight chase that use RFID, construction necessity of executive system and development of logistics security equipment required.

  • A company wishes to obtain a competitive edge by adopting an efficient logistics information system to control the logistics management process. The elements of the competitive edges a company targets are to maintain good quality, reduce cost and on-time delivery and those competitive edges are closely related to the cycle time of a product. The logistics information system in a company is also closely tied with other business activities than the logistics itself. Therefore it is essential to choose a system that will help rationalize the logistics but also overall business operations along the supply chain from manufacturing to distribution of the products. This paper aims to research and analyze a problem with a logistics information system through case study and to suggest a logistics information system with RFID in place adopted to eliminate problems such as damages, loss and defect rates.

  • Reverse logistics is the process of planning and controlling the recovery flow of end of life products. Industry is increasingly being confronted with the need to solve several reverse logistics issues because of not only stringent environmental legislations but also economic reasons. Recently, thanks to the advent of emerging technologies, such as RFID, enhancing the productivity of reverse logistics operations has been highlighted. The application of RFID technology is going beyond forward logistics, which is the delivery of manufactured goods to consumers, and being expanded, though not frequently yet, to reverse logistics, which includes return, recovery, reuse, reproduction and disposal. However, it requires a deep insight for the research of reverse logistics and new environment. In this regard, we studied effectiveness by applying RFID middleware technology to reverse logistics.

  • Kimpo international airport logistics complex had been the most busiest airfreight gateway in Korea during last century but, after the grand open of Incheon international airport in 2001, it had lost its major role as a national airfreight hub facilities. However, owing to its locational advantages in Seoul metropolitan area. Kimpo airport logistics park still acts like an urban logistics distribution center in these days. Caused by the KAC's profit oriented policies, the Kimpo airport logistics park's public function as an urban distribution center might be curtailed in the future. Therefore, several laws and ordinances related to national and regional logistics strategies should be modified to prevent it.
