  • This study aimed to verify the mediating effect of job burnout on the relationship between work overload and turnover intention among IT workers. For this study, a sample of 499 IT workers completed the online questionnaires: job demand scale, job burnout(emotional exhaustion, cynicism, professional efficacy) scale, turnover intention scale. The collected data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 25.0, and the Sobel test was conducted to verify the mediating effect. The results showed that work overload had a significant positive correlation with emotional exhaustion, cynicism, and turnover intention. Work overload had significant positive effects on emotional exhaustion and turnover intention. The full mediating effect of emotional exhaustion on the relationship between work overload and turnover intention was verified. Based on the findings, we discussed the necessity of addressing emotional exhaustion to prevent issues related to work overload and turnover intention among IT workers. Finally, we proposed human resource management strategies to address job burnout in IT workers and suggested directions for future research.

For activating the supervision, it is necessary to strengthen the educational supervision, systematize the supervision, and strengthen the supervisor education. To raise the professionalism perception, programs such as awards for outstanding manpower, social support, and employee education considering clients are needed. It is expected that studies on various variables for human resource management including job commitment for elderly leisure facility employees will be continued.

  • In this study, we analyzed the effects of radiation exposure, as compared to the hematological parameters change of medical radiation workers and the public. The mean value of all hematological parameters were in the normal range. Eosin mean value of the radiation workers($2.52{\pm}1.79%$) showed that a significantly lower than the control group($2.92{\pm}1.39%$). In the comparison of the results depending on the occupation period, it showed high value that the mean of the radiation workers group WBC, platelet, Lymph, Mono, Baso. Over 20 years of radiation workers WBC, Mono showed low values and less than 10 years of radiation workers mean value of Baso showed low values, there was no statistical significance. In the comparison of the results depending on the 4 years cumulative radiation dose, Over 5.0 mSv of Radiation works RBC($4.61{\pm}0.53$ vs $4.91{\pm}0.38$), Hct($41.51{\pm}4.07$ vs $43.97{\pm}3.40$), Eosin($1.74{\pm}1.14$ vs $2.92{\pm}1.39$) showed low value, it was statistical significance. 0.5~1.0 mSv radiation exposure workers Hb ($13.93{\pm}1.75$) showed a significantly lower value than that of the control group ($14.90{\pm}1.29$).

  • Dose distribution of Korean radiation workers classified by occupational categories was analyzed. Statistics of the occupational radiation exposure(ORE) in 2002 of the radiation workers in diagnostic and dental radiology were obtained from the Korea Food and Drug Agency(KFDA) who maintains the database for individual radiation dose records. Corresponding statistics for the rest of radiation workers were obtained by processing the individual annual doses provided by the Korea Radioisotope Association(KRIA) after deletion of individual information. The ORE distribution was classified in term of 28 occupational categories, annual individual dose levels, age groups and gender of 52733 radiation workers as of the year of 2002. The total collective dose was 66.4 man-Sv and resulting average individual ORE was 1.26 mSv. Around 80% of the workers were exposed to minimal doses less than 1.2 mSv. However, it appeared that the recorded doses exceeded 20 mSv for 43 workers in the industrial radiography and for 147 workers in the field of radiology. Particularly, recorded doses of 23 workers in radiology exceeded the annual dose limits of 50 mSv, which is extraordinary when the working environment is considered. It is uncertain whether those doses are real or caused by careless placing of dosimeters in the imaging rooms while the X-ray units are in operation. No one in the workforce of 16 operating nuclear power plant units was exposed over 20 mSv in 2002. Number of workers was the largest in their 30's of age and the mean individual dose was the highest in their 20's. Women were around 20% of the radiation workers and their average dose was around one half of that of man workers.

  • Job stress experienced during work has a positive effect on the organization, such as performance improvement, but if not properly managed, it can cause physical diseases such as digestive diseases and mental diseases such as depression and neurological diseases. If job stress persists for a long time, it causes emotional exhaustion and depression, which has a significant adverse effect on individuals and organizations, so proper management is essential. Therefore, in this study, a descriptive survey study was conducted using a self-report questionnaire method to find out the relationship between job stress, emotional exhaustion and depression of medical institution workers. As a result of the analysis, it was found that job stress of medical institution workers had a significant (+) effect on emotional exhaustion and depression, and emotional exhaustion of medical institution workers had a significant (+) effect on depression. Through this study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between job stress, emotional exhaustion, and depression of hospital employees, and that emotional exhaustion acts as a parameter in the relationship between job stress and depression. Considering that job stress of hospital employees causes adverse organizational effects, such as threatening workers' mental and physical health and causing deterioration in the quality of medical services, organizational efforts will be needed to relieve and properly manage job stress of hospital employees.

  • Computing Technology implementation suggests a dramatic change in work or organizational environment. The study aims to examine how IT adoption affected employees' attitudes toward jobs and behaviors toward customers in restaurant operations. The employee attitudinal variables examined in the study included employees' perceptions on internal work motivation, general job satisfaction, and pride in organization, while positive employee behaviors were used to examine employees' behavioral changes induced by IT implementation. The study sampled employees of full-service and mid-scale restaurants. To test the relationships among the employees of full-service and variables proposed in the research model changed by the IT implementation, six hypotheses were proposed. This study is meaningful in making a progress in finding a support for a link between task perceptions and attitudes in organizational environment change. The practical contribution of this research lies in for restaurant owners or managers to obtain a better perspective of the technology adoption and implementation decisions.
