4차 산업혁명 시대 기계공학 분야 엔지니어에게 필요한 역량과 교육에 관한 델파이 연구 (A Delphi Study on Competencies of Mechanical Engineer and Education in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution)

  • In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the world is undergoing rapid social change. The purpose of this study is to predict the expected changes and necessary competencies and desired curriculum and teaching methods in the field of mechanical engineering in the near future. The research method was a Delphi study. It was conducted three times with 20 mechanical engineering experts. The results of the study are as follows: In the field of mechanical engineering, it will be increased the situational awareness by the use of measurement sensors, development of computer applications, flexibility and optimization by user's needs and mechanical equipment, and demand for robots equipped with AI. The mechanical engineer's career perspectives will be positive, but if it is stable, it will be a crisis. Therefore active response is needed. The competencies required in the field of mechanical engineering include collaborative skills, complex problem solving skills, self-directed learning skills, problem finding skills, creativity, communication skills, convergent thinking skills, and system engineering skills. The undergraduate curriculum to achieve above competencies includes four major dynamics, basic science, programming coding education, convergence education, data processing education, and cyber physical system education. Preferred mechanical engineering teaching methods include project-based learning, hands-on education, problem-based learning, team-based collaborative learning, experiment-based education, and software-assisted education. The mechanical engineering community and the government should be concerned about the education for mechanical engineers with the necessary competencies in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which will make global competitiveness in the mechanical engineering fields.

  • An efficient molecular breeding technique for coffee plants was developed. In order to produce transgenic coffee plants, we established a model transformation procedure via Agrobacterium method. We isolated a gene encoding a protein possessing 7-methylxanthine methyltransferase (theobromine synthase) activity, and it was designated as Coffea arabica 7-methylxanthine methyl transferase; CaMXMT. Using this clone, we produced transgenic coffee plants, in which the expression of CaMXMT is suppressed by double-stranded RNA interference (RNAi) andlor anti-sense methods. The expression pattern of CaMXMT was analyzed by reverse transcription-PCR method and we found that, in the transformed cell lines, the level of transcripts were obviously suppressed by RNAi. The endogenous level of caffeine in the transformed cells was dramatically reduced in comparison with non-transformed cells.

비대면 공학교육에서 공개 및 실명 여부에 따른 학습자 질문 방식의 전략과 효과에 관한 연구 (Strategies and Effects of Questioning Methods Based on Anonymity/Openness in Remote Engineering Education)

  • Students' questions are essential and important for learning, but previous research and experience of instructors shows that there is a lack of interaction between instructors and students in online classes. This research studies how learners can effectively ask questions in online classes at engineering colleges. Based on two axes of anonymity and openness, the four different types of questioning methods were suggested as 'onymous/public', 'onymous/private', 'anonymous/public' and 'anonymous/private.' In this study, seven communication channels were applied to check their effectiveness in an online class. The results showed that learners' satisfaction with learning outcomes increased compared to previous offline classes, while satisfaction with teaching methods was similar. Additionally, among the four types of questioning methods, the preference and effectiveness of 'anonymous/public' was highest, followed by 'onymous/private'. This study suggests several implications of educational approaches to online education in engineering colleges.

과학과의 핵심성취기준에 근거한 단위시간 수업전략 효과 (The effects of learning strategies unit time based core achievement standard of science)

  • The purpose of this study is to research about the effects on improvement academic achievement of students based on the core learning standards of science. The researcher selected experimenter and started this study as a graduate student who is majoring in science education, experimenter chose to study 48 Sixth graders in elementary schools in B city for research group(24 students), Comparison group(24 students). The study was conducted from March to the end of July 2014. The teacher who is doing activity of professor in research group and the comparison group is science education specialist. Researcher and experimenter frequently exchange their opinions for control variables of teacher. The results are as follows. First, based on unit time strategies based on core achievement standards classes are effective in improving students' academic achievement. Elementary school teacher has difficulty in teaching for all subjects based on unit time strategies. Second, based on unit time strategies based on core achievement standards classes showed high level of satisfaction in perception of students. Thus it can be seen that teaching strategies of unit time based on the core achievement standards is effective to academic achievement improvement. The proposal for further study based on the results is as follows. First, research is needed to study the teaching methods that have practical and theoretical study time and lesson application opportunity for teaching strategies of curriculum unit time. Second, experimental studies that using strategies of unit time based on the core achievement standards are needed about learning method that can be applied in a variety of subjects.

A Study on Research Ethics and Research Ethics Education in Aviation Tourism Research

  • Purpose: This study aims to examine the implications of aviation tourism by considering practical and ethical issues in order to achieve academic goals for research ethics. Through this, we intend to derive the direction of research ethics in aviation tourism in the future. Research Design, data and methodology: This study examined ethical issues to examine the current status of research ethics in consideration of the goals of aviation tourism and to analyze and explore the status of research ethics, including various research results and researchers. Results: Aviation tourism is focused on the autonomy of research without strict sanctions. There was a perception that there was no monitoring or control of research ethics, and related scholars did not need to discuss research ethics because the establishment of an academic system was a priority. However, it is now responsible for complying with research ethics limited to integrity and leading research ethics education in domestic aviation tourism. Conclusions: Research ethics problems that may arise in aviation tourism research were explored and issues and tasks were derived. Aviation tourism needs to develop into a more responsible research culture, such as redefining research ethics regulations, changing research culture, and raising researchers' ethical awareness

Multicenter Evaluation of Patients with Cutaneous Malignant Melanoma in Turkey: MELAS Study

  • Background: Malignant melanoma is a cancer that demonstrates rapid progression and atypical clinically features with a poor prognosis. Aim: This study was performed to determine the clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of patients with malignant melanoma in Turkey. Methods: The medical records of 98 patients between 2007-2012 at our centers were retrieved from the patient registry. Overall survival (OS) was calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method. Results: In our study, with the median follow-up of all patients with cutaneous MM of 46.3 months, the median OS rate of all cases was 43.6 months and 5-year OS was 48.6%. However, five-year OS rates of patients with localized disease (stage I-II) and node involvement (stage III) were 60.3% and 39.6%, respectively. The median OS of stage IV patients was 8.7 months and 1-year OS rate was 26.2%. We showed that advanced stage, male gender, and advanced age in all patients with MM were significant prognostic factors of OS. Conclusions: Compared with the results of current studies from Western countries, we found similar findings concerning demographical features, histological variables and survival analyses for our patients with cutaneous MM in Turkey.

무용교육학(Dance Pedagogy)의 학문적 정체성 탐색 : 시계열 관점의 키워드 네트워크 분석을 중심으로 (Exploring the Academic Identity of Dance Pedagogy : Using Keyword Network Analysis and Time Series Analysis)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 실행중심 무용교육의 패러다임에 관한 비판적 접근을 바탕으로 무용교육학의 학문적 정체성을 탐색하는 것이다. 한국의 무용교육은 1955년 교육부에서 고시된 제1차 교육과정 이후 학교무용으로서 65년의 역사를 지니고 있음에도 무용교육학으로서의 학문적 정체성이 견고하지 못하다. 전통적인 무용교육은 실행중심 패러다임에 따라 지나치게 교사중심, 실기기능중심, 연습중심으로 운영되었다. 그러나 최근 학교, 지역사회, 전문 분야에서 무용교육학은 새로운 패러다임 구축을 요구받고 있다. 이에 이 연구는 시계열 관점의 키워드 네트워크 분석을 실시하여 무용교육연구의 각 구간별 주요 내용을 검토하였다. 연구결과, 무용교육연구는 5개의 구간으로 구분되었다. 제1구간(1968~1979)은 체육학을 기반으로 한 무용교육의 실천, 제2구간(1980년~1989년)은 초등교육을 위한 창작 기반의 움직임 교육, 제3구간(1990년~1999년)은 교급별 무용교육과정의 체계화, 제4구간(2000년~2009년)은 문화예술교육 패러다임의 등장, 제5구간(2010년~2019년)은 교육실천과 학제의 다양화가 이루어졌다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 복합학으로서 무용교육학, 학제간 실천 및 연구를 지지할 수 있는 학문적 정체성을 정립할 수 있는 노력이 요청된다.

전문직 간 교육에 대한 국내 간호연구 현황 분석 (Current Status of Interprofessional Education-related Research within Korean Nursing Literature)

  • 본 연구는 전문직 간 교육에 대한 국내 간호연구의 동향을 분석하여 전문직 간 교육 연구의 미래 방향을 제시하고 연구의 확장성에 기여하고자 시도되었다. 최종 분석에 포함된 논문은 총 5편이었다. 연구 결과, 국내에서 전문직 간 교육에 대한 간호연구가 시작된 것은 2017년이었고, 전문직 간 교육 개념에 대한 정의가 확립되지 않은 실정임이 확인되었다. 또한 분석 대상 논문들의 주요 결과는 전문직 간 교육에 대한 인식, 중재로서의 전문직 간 교육의 효과, 전문직 간 교육의 효과성 측정을 위한 도구의 타당화로 분류되었다. 간호사와 타 전문 인력의 협력은 양질의 보건의료 제공에 필수적인 요소이다. 그러므로, 전문직 간 교육 개념에 대한 정의를 확립하기 위한 연구와 이를 간호교육과 실무에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있도록 하는 연구의 활성화가 요구된다.

Computational Thinking based Mathematical Program for Free Semester System

  • In recent years, coding education has been globally emphasized and the Free Semester System will be executed to the public schools in Korea from 2016. With the introduction of the Free Semester System and the rising demand of Computational Thinking (CT) capacity, this research aims to design 'learning environment' in which learners can design and construct mathematical objects through computers and print them out through 3D printers. Furthermore, it will design learning mathematics by constructing the figurate number patterns from 'soma cubes' in the playing context and connecting those to algebraic and combinatorial patterns, which will allow students to experience mathematical connectivity. It is expected that the activities of designing figurate number patterns suggested in this research will not only strengthen CT capacity in relation to mathematical thinking but also serve as a meaningful program for the Free Semester System in terms of career experience as 3D printers can be widely used.

공학설계와 지역사회봉사활동을 통합한 서비스러닝 교육프로그램 운영 사례 및 효과 (A case study on the effect of service learning education program integrating engineering design and community service activities)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a service learning education program for engineers and to investigate its educational effects. This study reviewed the concept and characteristics of service learning and examined the service learning education programs operated in higher education environments. The Service Learning Education Program was developed by integrating engineering design and community service activities. This program has been applied to the engineering education from 2014 to 2016. As a result of the study, the learners' satisfaction with service learning activities, empathy ability, and engineering design ability were improved. Based on the research results, practical implications are suggested to the instructors who want to develop the service learning education program for engineering students.
