  • 홈네트워크 환경에서 정보가전기기를 제어하는데 PLC(전력선통신)나 IR컬트롤러가 사용된다. PLC의 경우 가전기기동작이 명확하지만 IR컨트롤러 같은 경우에는 방향이나 여러 조건에 따라 가전기기동작이 불분명하여 사용자의 명령대로 수행되지 못하는 경우가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 상황을 해결하기 위해 가전기가의 상태를 모니터링하여 사용자에게 알려주는 방법을 제안하였다. 동작 상태와 대기 상태의 전류량이 다른점을 이용하여 동작 여부를 판별한다. 제안된 방법을 사용하면 IR 컨트롤러로 동작하는 가전기기의 상태 신뢰성 을 높일 수 있다.

  • 최근 가정에서 사용되고 기기 중 원격제어기(Remote controller)로 제어가 가능한 기기가 늘어나고 있다. 이에 따라 여러 기기들이 있는 경우 사용자는 기기들을 동시 제어하려 할 때 제어하고자 하는 제어대상에 맞는 원격제어기를 찾기 위해 많은 시간을 소비하는 경우가 일반적이다. 이러한 불편함이 증가함에 따라 통합원격제어기(Universal remote controller)의 보급이 증가하고 있으나, 여전히 여러 기기를 동시제어하고자 할 경우 제어코드의 입력 등 복잡한 절차를 걸쳐 사용할 수 밖에 없으며, 이러한 점은 결국 통합원격제어기의 사용성을 현저히 약화시킨다. 본 고에서는 인간이 제어대상기기를 제어하고자 하는 의도를 원격제어기에 전달하는 여러 방법 중 인간이 물체를 인식하는 것과 동일한 메타포인 직관적인 '지시(Pointing)'법을 사용하여 실시간으로 다중기기를 통합 제어하는 방법, 즉 지시통합제어방법(Point and Control)에 대한 센서 및 하드웨어구조를 설명하고, 구동방식을 제안한다.

Online Control of DC Motors Using Fuzzy Logic Controller for Remote Operated Robots

  • In this paper, a fuzzy logic controller is designed for a DC motor which can be used for navigation control of mobile robots. These mobile robots can be used for agricultural, defense and assorted social applications. The robots used in these fields can reduce manpower, save human life and can be operated using remote control from a distant place. The developed fuzzy logic controller is used to control navigation speed and steering angle according to the desired reference position. Differential drive is used to control the steering angle and the speed of the robot. Two DC motors are connected with the rear wheels of the robot. They are controlled by a fuzzy logic controller to offer accurate steering angle and the driving speed of the robot. Its location is monitored using GPS (Global Positioning System) on a real time basis. IR sensors in the robot detect obstacles around the robot. The designed fuzzy logic controller has been implemented in a robot, which depicts that the robot could avoid obstacle as well as perform its operation efficiently with remote online control.

  • Recently, the Smart household appliances to provide Smart services have been actively spreaded by providing IoT(Internet of Things). Also, the appliances which Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can directly control are preferred. But until now, the most household appliances are based on IR(InfraRed) and the each procotols of them are different. In this paper, to solve these problems, we suggested the system to control both smart appliances and general appliances by using Smart phone. The system is "Wi-Fi to IR" gateway which receives the Wi-Fi signal to convert to IR signal and transmit it. Also, we made the remote control function in specific brands' appliances possible to most brands without limitation and tried to control not only one remote controller for one TV brand but also for all brand without limitation.

Development of automatic illumination controller for energy saving (에너지 절약형 자동조명 장치 개발)

  • The auto-illumination controller for office, residence, and so on was studied. The system consists of parts of a power supply, a signal oscillator, a lamp controller and two kinds of sensor. The lamp controller has two thyristors triggered by the IR sensor(SCRI) and CdS sensor(SCR2) respectively, When the illuminance around this system is higher than operating value of its sensor, lamp is turned off automatically. Otherwise, the light of lamp gets dim by CdS sensor. In case IR sensor senses the body heat of people around itself, the illuminance of the lamp gets maximum. The illuminance of the lamp can be changed dimmly by control of the variable resistor (RV) connected with SCR2 in series. The turning - on time of the lamp can be also controlled using a variable resistor(Rt) connected with a signal oscillator in parallel. Changing resistance Rt changes the time constant(.tau.), which triggers the gate of SCR2. Though people left the surrounding of lamp, the lamp keeps light for a while.

  • We designed a weld monitoring system with UV and IR sensors using a embedded DSP controller for implementing a distribution system; running stand alone and communication with outside by industrial standard protocols. Also this system provided a USB port in order to be acquiring data in PC. The user interface program in PC visualized the IR and W data in time, frequency and state space. A correlation of IR and UV signals showed closely related to weld quality. A rapid change of geometry can be found through a moving average filter. And the average value of IR signal at an interval represented a welding width and depth. Through these results, we proposed a monitoring algorithm for a integer type DSP.

  • The reflector of infrared lamp is designed to the optimal circular shape through the analyses of lumination distributions with a triangular, rectangular and circular configurations of infrared lamps respectively by using Photopia. PLC is used to compare and amplify the difference between soldering temperature profile and feedback value. It is fed to IR lamp controller which adjusts the soldering temperature of PV cell. The soldering temperature measured using an infrared temperature sensor is then fed back to the PLC. The closed control loop of soldering temperature on a PV cell is implemented. The noncontact soldering device of PV cells using infrared lamp which is easily operated by HMI operation panel and controlled robustly by PLC and IR lamp controller is developed.

The Development of An Efficient Zigbee Bridge for Legacy Device Control (레거시 기기 통합 제어를 위한 효율적 Zigbee Bridge 개발)

  • IR remote control is the most common way to control home appliances nowadays. Each legacy device is controlled with their own remote controller, and it is not standardized yet. Although it is possible to handle multiple devices with a integrated remote controller, not all the devices and command sets are supported. There are also limitations in expandability especially when new or special command sets are required. In this paper, a efficient zigbee bridge which transforms a command set sent via zigbee to IR comment set is developed. The bridge also has a learning function based on a header comparison method. When a new command is sent, the bridge learn the new code. When a existing code is sent, the bridge dispatches applicable IR command to the appliance. With this approach, it is possible to obtain expandability and flexibility for new commands, and increase the communication efficiency up to 56.8 times.

  • A Multi-Vision needs an image adjust of each product to make the same picture quality for all products when it's installed. Owing to this reason need individual control. This document request indivisual control method for each product with the Remote controller. To realize this method need make Set ID and Picture ID on the UI and need daisy chain of cable to connect Remocon code(IR Signal) In to Out, After allocation the Set ID for each product. Picture ID of the product which want to change picture quality make equal to Set ID. And the product which is same Set ID and Picture ID is only controlled through decoding of Remocon code to Scaler.
