  • Currently was Convergence time of broadcasting and communication with development of information communication technology and internet infra environment. The superhigh speed internet about under using there is IPTV where it provides the broadcasting contents with broadcasting and communication Convergence service. Digital broadcasting it makes various broadcasting in one stream and it transmits, and about under analyzing it uses Channel information which is included in broadcasting and broadcasting information from the terminal. But, IPTV transmits each broadcasting in multicast methods, therefore the possibility of knowing all Channel information and broadcasting information from the terminal it is not there is a problem point. This paper hereupon it searched IPTV broadcasting information from the terminal and in order to support a channel selection from IPTV broadcasting streams SI about under extracting SD&S XML documents it created and it transmits with the distant multicast the system which plan and it embodied.

  • Convergence between telecom and broadcasting is today a worldwide phenomenon. Diverse services like VoD, mobile broadcasting, IPTV and interactive services have already made their market debut or are currently being commercialized. Regulatory systems are also being revised to appropriately regulate this new breed of services. We propose the new model of educational broadcasting system using the internet network, it is not different conventional coaxial cable methods. Especially, we design the multicast method of the network using the limited channel and resource, propose the method of intercommunication in the school between the broadcasting system and database system.

  • Currently broadcasting and telecommunication has integrated, And IPTV Service has appeared who called TPS(Triple Play Service) which integrated with broadcasting, telecommunication and Phone Service. IPTV provide broadcasting service and VOD(Video on Demand) service, and it must be satisfied digital content security. For this condition, IPTV Forum working on standardization of interface for digital content security. The Security solution for broadcasting and VOD are CAS(Conditional Access System) and DRM(Digital Rights Management). But these solutions manufactured by many vendors, so there is no inter-operablity. And after finished standardization of interface for CAS and DRM system, the problem of inter-operability with them will be issued. For this reason, Rights management system which possible to operate independently with platform is necessary. In this paper, To protect multimedia digital content, we designed and implemented Conditional Access Management System.

  • The fusion stream of recent broadcasting and communication make multimedia content served in the area of broadcasting into IPTV service which transmits it through high-speed internet, cable TV net and satellite net in realtime. However, as the digital broadcasting service is extended to various media, the security of IPTV service content provided to users by service provider is not fully supported by CAS(Conditional Access System) provided by existing broadcasting system. This paper proposes interactive certification protocol which can efficiently distinguish the receiving-qualification of user between Set-Top Box and Smart Card which are parts of configurations for IPTV system. The proposed protocol uses hash function to make Set-Top Box transmit receiving-qualification about the channel fee which user pays more properly than existing protocol. Also, the proposed protocol uses session key generated between receiver and smart card through inter certification process and encrypts EMM not the service to be used by anyone illegally.

  • In this paper, we propose an UCC broadcasting system in P2P based IPTV environments. Proposed system applies P2P based multiple chain architecture. UCC broadcasting system transfers data from not ISP server but UCC server peer that is included in DSLAM to joined peers. Therefore an algorithm to manage join and departure of peers have to modified. In this paper we propose an algorithm that does not increase an uplink bandwidth of DSLAM that include UCC server when peer joins to the UCC channel. We will show the improved performance of proposed scheme rather than general method with respect to the uplink bandwidth of DSLAM that include UCC server.

  • Domestic paid broadcasting market is largely classified into cable TV, satellite broadcasting and IPTV. Latest starter IPTV began its commercial service in 2009 and reached 10 million subscribers in August 2014 after 6 years of service. It has been growing rapidly by increasing more than 500 thousand subscribers every quarter and has taken its place firmly as one of core domestic paid broadcasting platforms, second only to cable TV. Even with this quantitative growth, 3 major IPTV companies are still running deficit, attracting attention to issue of the vitalization of IPTV business based on qualitative growth. This study draws out revitalizing and hindering factors of Korean IPTV industry through a case study on 'A' corporation which is leading domestic IPTV market and exploratory study based on interviews with experts and, by developing influencing factors into Causal Loop Diagram through system dynamics research methodology, draws out core issues in vitalization of domestic IPTV industry and suggests alternatives. Therefore, it is expected that this study will provide more diverse practical implications than preceding studies which drew out one-dimensional issues and alternatives and help vitalize Korean IPTV industry by minimizing negative effects and maximizing positive ones.

  • With the discontinuation of analog broadcasting in 2012, the cable broadcasters are investing in the conversion to DCATV (Digital Cable TV). DCATV is providing various broadcast of high quality to audiences through paid broadcasting called PPV (Pay Per View). Such services are using various kinds of CASs (Conditional Access System) in order to verify the viewing rights of subscriber. In addition, to respond to the fast changing environment of digital broadcast, not only simple digitalization of broadcast but also services such as PVR (Personal Video Recorder) and VOD (Video On Demand) are provided to subscribers. Because these additional services have many difficult areas to cover with traditional CAS alone, a new plan has become necessary. With the improvement of related regulations in 2008, the test service of IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) which is a broadcast service through the internet started. Because like DCATV, IPTV also sets the real time broadcast and the VOD service as the basic services, the use of appropriate CAS is required. In this study, the CASs for DCATV and IPTV undergo comparative analysis, and the development direction which will benefit both subscribers and broadcasting companies is suggested.

  • Mobile IPTV is a IPTV interactive broadcasting service through wireless Internet. Mobile IPTV service would be much more promoted. Thus, the methods for protecting the broadcasting contents will be indispensible elements for the successful Mobile IPTV service achievement. This paper describes the characteristics of Mobile IPTV and the related contents protection techniques. To evaluate several security issues, we suggest a DCAS security framework model for Mobile IPTV, and speculate the most widespread, a security technologies for Mobile IPTV such as DCSA. Moreover, candidate models of Mobile IPTV protection system are suggested based on these technologies.

  • As data broadcasting has become available, diverse contents can now be provided through digital TV, IPTV and DMB; yet it is true in the current situation that killer contents are insufficient that can satisfy users. On the contrary, in case of the web, with the advent of web 2.0 aiming at user-centered services, the contents market has grown greatly. The ideas and technologies of Web 2.0, if gratified into data broadcasting, are expected to make a contribution to the vitalization of contents. This paper proposes a method of using RSS, as a concrete example of applying web 2.0 to data broadcasting. Accordingly, we have developed a system for producing data services for the ground wave DMB data broadcasting, by using RSS at the stage of authoring news and the like, for which provision of the latest information is important. And for IPTV, we have developed a data broadcasting application so that users can select the RSS they want, as well as a creation system for using RSS at the authoring stage. It is anticipated that the application of RSS by means of the system will simplify the authoring process, making easy the provision of the latest information through the web, and thereby making possible the provision of diverse services to users.
