Design Notch to reduce Cogging Torque of Interor type Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기의 코깅 토크 저감을 위한 노치 설계)

  • This paper presents a design notch to reduce cogging torque of interior type permanent magnet motor. As design notch on rotor of IPM motor, magnetic field from between rotor and teeth of state is changed. By reason of variation magnetic field, cogging torque is generated. Through Fourier formulation of magnetic field on rotor, we found position of notch and manufactured armature that is designed by optimizing analysis. The validity of the proposed design is confirmed with experiments.

  • In this paper, the speed control system of induction motor was proposed using vector control algorithm and space voltage vector PWM method to improve the dynamic performance of induction motor. The control system is composed of the PDFF controller for speed control and the current controller using space voltage vector PWM technique. The high-speed calculation and processing for vector control is carried out by TMS320C31 digital signal processor and IPM. The proposed scheme is verified through digital simulations and experiments for 3.7(kw) induction motor and shows good dynamic performance.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the effect of the change of the rotor time constant on the performance of the indirect vector control system. By employing indirect field orientation technique, we have also suggested an optimal control algorithm that allows an induction motor to maintain the maximum torque under the changing environment of rotor time constant. A computer simulation on the transient response of the output torque was demonstrated. To verify the validity of the method that has been proposed in this paper, an experiment has been performed utilizing TMS32OC31(40MHz) DSP chip which is capable of performing floating-point arithmetic in real time.

  • This paper proposes a variable structure position controller for an induction motor(IM) which uses a reaching law and an integral compensating nonlinear switching function. With the integral compensating nonlinear switching function, both very low overshoot and high steady state control accuracy can be obtained by compensating the states chattering problem due to the unmodelled dynamics of inverter and feedback sensors. With the reaching law, reaching mode can be established quantitatively during transient state so that dynamic control performance is improved. For experiment a digital servo driver which consists of a DSP and an IPM inverter was developed. With the various experimental results, IM position control performance was verified.

  • 자동차의 배출가스가 가져오는 대기오염문제로 배출하지 않는 장점이 있는 전기자동차의 도입이 계획되고 있는 한편, 세계의 자동차관련메이커들은 꾸준히 개발$\cdot$개량을 추진하고 있다. 그 기술은 착실하게 진전되어 근거리역내에서의 교통수단으로서는 실용역에 이르고 있으며 앞으로 실용화를 위한 시험이 본격화될 것으로 보인다. 삼릉전기(주)에서는 보다 고성능의 전기자동차의 실용화를 위하여 유도전동기와 선진 구동제어 기술의 연구$\cdot$개발에 진력하여 유도전동기와 선진 구동제어기술을 조합한 구동시스템을 개발하였다. 유도전동기는 고속화, 냉각의 수냉화, 스테이터절연의 고내열화, 저손실코어재의 적용 등으로 소형$\cdot$경량화를 기하였다. 컨트롤러는 인버터의 파워소자에 구동$\cdot$보호회로를 내장한 IPM(Intelligent Power Module)을 채용하고 유도모터의 고효율화와 토크제어의 고응답$\cdot$고정도화를 양립시킨 고효율$\cdot$고응답벡터제어를 적용하였다. 또한 속도센서의 생략으로 코스트저감과 신뢰성의 향상을 위한 속도센서레스제어의 적용을 검토하고 있다. 이상으로 소형$\cdot$경량$\cdot$고효율$\cdot$저코스트를 조화시킨 고성능의 전기자동차구동시스템을 실현하였다.

  • This paper presents the improvement of dynamic characteristics in Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) type BLDC motor with notch. The notch is applied on the surface of the rotor to reduce the cogging torque and to improve dynamic characteristics. The current, inductance and torque of initial model and optimal model are analyzed by FEA. The validity of improved dynamic characteristics is confirmed.

  • This paper presented the notch effect of interior permanent magnet motor(IPM) with compound variable number of pole and slot. The selection of proper pole and slot which makes characteristic and efficiency of motor is very important on motor design. The motor which has 6pole and 9slot is at base. This paper is choose the 4pole 6slot motor which has 2:3 ratio then analyzed the characteristic.

  • This paper presents an improved estimation procedure for the contribution to no-load flux linkage created by the permanent magnet (PM) in interior permanent magnet synchronous machines. In the proposed method, the saturation effect in stator and rotor cores are taken into account by utilizing the frozen permeability method (FPM). This improved procedure can evaluate the contribution for each local element in the PM to the no-load flux linkage. According to the analysis results, an effective PM topology optimal design can be carried out to achieve high utilization ratio of PM in the machine. In order to determine the threshold of the low contribution of PM for removing, one multi-objective optimization model is proposed. Based on the optimal threshold, the final optimal topology design of PM can be achieved.

  • This Paper propose a novel sensorless drive system for the trapezoidal brushless DC motor in Bow speed region. The inverter DC input voltage is controlled by step-down converter for low speed operation. A indirect rotor position sensing technique based on a detailed analysis of the terminal voltage characterisrics is proposed in this paper. A sensorless drive system is implemented using a TMS320F240 for the main process and IPM(Intelligent Power Module) for the inverter.

  • In this paper, a controller design for coreless linear synchronous motor is proposed. The designed controller is mainly composed of speed and current control, which are carried out by the high-speed digital signal processor(DSP). In addition the PWM inverter is controlled by space voltage PWM method. This system is implemented using by 32-bit DSP(TMS320C31), a high-integrated logic device(EPM940), and IPM(Intelligent Power Modules) for compact and powerful system design. The experimental results show the effective performance of controller for coreless linear synchronous motor.
