As the lifestyle of people today is evolving, the desire for convenient but nutritious food to replace home-cooked meals is increasing. As the market for Home Meal Replacement (HMR) has already reached 17 hundred billion Won, many studies on HMR selection attributes have been conducted, using traditional Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). However, it was found that traditional IPA had some limitations. Therefore, the study used both traditional and the Revised IPA to examine the selection attributes of HMR sold at large discount store to compare outcomes. The results of the study show that by using the Revised IPA, many attributes differed from those found by the traditional IPA. Consequently, the study revealed aspects that have both linear and nonlinear relationships with customer satisfaction. Implications of this study could provide the foundation of business strategies for HMR manufacturers.

As a simple and practicable method, an Importance-Performance Analysis(IPA) is often used as a tool to study the satisfaction of tourists in Tourism. The IPA has two dimensions to attribute importance and performance(or satisfaction as in satisfaction research), and generally uses an interviewee self-reported approach to acquire performance and importance data. Many scholars have pointed out that the traditional IPA cannot meet the premise of its establishment. Therefore, several revised IPA have been proposed. Among them, Deng's IPA is the most representative. There are not many contrastive analyses between the traditional IPA and revised IPA in academia. The lack of comparative study will make it difficult to judge the difference and effectiveness of different IPA techniques. Taking Gyeongju Yangdong Village as an example, this study investigated and researched the degree of satisfaction of Chinese tourists using the traditional IPA method and Deng's modified IPA method respectively, and then analysed the differences between the two methods and their causes. Based on the analysis results, the study put forward suggestions for the improvement of tourism management in Gyeongju Yangdong Village.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate on the Korean and Western medicine clinic quality to use IPA matrix and to establish a Korean medicine service management strategy. Methods : In order to achieve the research purpose, medical consumers who visited 3 Korean and Western medicine clinics were surveyed. frequency analysis, paired t-test were used for the statistical analysis, and the mean of each variable was used for IPA analysis. Results : The major results of analysis are as follows: It was confirmed that the skill and the kindness of the human resources were important in both the Korean medicine clinic and the Western medicine clinic. And it was confirmed the difference of the satisfaction rate and IPA between the Korean medicine clinic and the Western medicine clinic. Especially Medical devices and equipment, Easy booking, reception, payment procedure were different in IPA analysis. Conclusions : We confirmed the similarities and differences between Korean medicine clinics and Western medicine clinics in terms of importance, satisfaction, and IPA. On the basis of these results, Korean Medicine clinic could arrange a management strategy in consideration of consumers' choice attribute.

This study compared the results of Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) on trail managerial conditions by trail section in Mudeung-Mountain Provincial Park. The study also examined the validity of using overall survey method (OSM: analyzing IPA from the data collected from all the trails without separating trails by section) by comparing the OSM results with those obtained from the survey by section. A total of 258 users who visited the Park was surveyed using questionnaire in the four designated trail sections during the September of 2000. The result of IPA showed that there are differences in twenty three attributes out of the 26 selected attributes (88.5%) among four trail sections. The overall IPA results obtained from the total of four trail sections were not the same with the IPA results from each trail section in twenty three attributes (88.5%) out of the 26 selected attributes. It suggests that we need to use a survey segmented by trail sections rather than a survey for overall trails to obtain better information for more efficient trail management.

This study focuses on hotel kiosks that have begun to be introduced in earnest in mid-priced hotels, and the quality attributes of hotel kiosks, which are expected to be introduced throughout the hotel industry in the future, and validates them using a revised IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis). An online survey was conducted targeting hotel users who had used hotel kiosk devices, and difference analysis and IPA analysis were conducted on 239 people, excluding 61 who responded insincerely. As a result of the verification, there was no significant difference in hotel kiosk quality attributes by age, but there was no significant difference by age. It was found that there was a significant difference. As a result of analyzing the difference between importance and satisfaction, it was found that there was a partially significant difference. These results suggest standards for quality attributes in hotel kiosks and provide academic implications for future research and practical implications for hotel management practitioners.

This paper aims to examine the farmers' perceptions of the importance and feasibility of climate change awareness and adaptive measures in agriculture, utilizing paired sample t-tests and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). Significant differences were found in farmers' views on the importance and urgency of climate change issues, with specific factors standing out. The IPA analysis identified key issues requiring sustained attention, including climate change magnitude, extreme weather events, livestock damage scale, pest fluctuations, and variability in flowering periods. Additionally, the study revealed significant disparities in farmers' perceptions of the importance and feasibility of adaptive measures, except for specific items related to heat indices.

Recently, the necessity and interest to improve the tourism preparedness for enhancing the quality of foreign tourists is increasing, but the related research is insufficient. The purpose of this study is to identify the preferential improvement elements related to the tourism preparedness of foreign tourists. To do this, we applied the R-IPA analysis to analyze and compare the elements affecting the tourist preparedness according to tourist type and time period. As a result of R-IPA analysis for all tourists, the elements that need to maintain the current quality levels were food, security, transit, shopping, and tourist attractiveness and the elements that need to be improved but low priority were language communication, travel expenses, and tourist information service. As a result of R-IPA analysis by tourist type, for individual tourists it is necessary to maintain current quality levels of transit, food, shopping, tourist attractiveness, and security. For group tourists, it is necessary to maintain current quality levels of accommodation, shopping, tourist attractiveness, and tourist information service, but food needs to be urgent improvement.

The importance-performance analysis (IPA) is a widely used analytical technique that produces a priority of managerial attention for the customer satisfaction. This study attempted to compare various different approaches of IPA such as direct and indirect measurement of importance, and traditional four quadrants grid model and diagonal grid model of IPA. Data on 17 inpatient service quality attributes were collected from 234 inpatients of a general hospital. Eight IPA grids were produced to compare the result of each model. Based on the study results the strength and weakness of each model were discussed, and a set of recommendations for practical application of the IPA in hospital settings was suggested.

The program educational objectives(PEO) are defined as the competences and qualifications that the graduates should reach in 2~3 years after graduation. As indirect assessment this paper develops and presents a set of questions to evaluate how important the established PEOs are in the fields and how much the graduates achieves them. The survey was conducted and analyzed to evaluate the degree of importance and achievement of each PEO by using IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) scheme.

The present study applied the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) to derive several practical alternatives for the improvement of Chuncheon Silver Orchestra program using IPA(importance-performance analysis). Most importantly, this work performed a comparative study using sample data collected from two groups of silver member(N=53) and program operator(N=32). A careful literature review leaded to the development of six types of evaluation sectors, including 'connection with the local community', 'budget operation', 'program operation', 'manpower operation', 'public relations strategy' as well as 'environment for program operation'. This work further devised twenty-two evaluation items. The results indicated that silver member group rated 'manpower operation' the highest in their both perceived importance and performance. Program operator group rated 'budget operation' and 'manpower operation' rated the highest in their perceived importance and performance, respectively. The results form IPA matrix analysis provides an important implication that much efforts and interests should be sustainably given from the perspective of the silver member group and the program operator group coupled with four types of IPA quadrant, accordingly.
