Establishing the Concept of ICT-Based Creative Talented Persons (ICT기반 창의인재상 정립에 관한 연구)

  • This study proposed the concept model of ICT-based Creative Talented Persons as the type of persons that gifted education in the ICT area should cultivate for the 21st century. The model of ICT-based Creative Talented Persons is made of three dimensions by 3 core competencies, 9 traits, and 27 characteristics. The field experts, that is, teachers on elementary and secondary school levels evaluate the validity of the model. Teachers expressed positive opinions about the validity of the multi-dimension model of ICT-based Creative Talented Persons. We expect that this model can provide a useful guide to designing and operating ICT education and ICT gifted education for cultivating talented persons to contribute for the future society.

  • Korea's e-government is the world best system and the open government data field is also ranking number 1 by UN evaluation. Therefore Korea's ICT level is ranking number 1 in the world especially in ICT (Information Communication Technology). However, in terms of national ICT capabilities, national ICT competency education is tend to perform by the simple list of courses rather than detail definition of the specific skills or training. In this paper, we define the national ICT capabilities through research and analysis of the national ICT competency model and define the relevant curriculum. This is very important to develop national ICT competency as well as ICT technologies because other countries will develop their information by learning from Korea's ICT and e-government as a model. Therefore, we firstly study about the national ICT competency model and will be drawn from the courses required for national ICT competency model.

  • In this paper, we research on an evaluation model and method for the teaching and loaming using ICT. There are 8 types information search, information analysis, information guidance, collaboration research, discussion with expert, discussion by the web, pen pal by the web, information production in the teaching and teaming using ICT. we propose an evaluation model and method for information search and information analysis which teachers frequently use. Because an evaluation model and mend for the teaching and learning using ICT doesn’t exist, I expect that the evaluation model and method proposed in this paper is effective in the teaching and loaming using ICT.

  • This study is the content about the development of ICT(Information and Communication Technology) teaching-learning model to support the korean language learning. Firstly, we proposed 3 types on developing models for ICT teaching-learning in korean language learning, we developed 4 ICT teaching-learning models based on analysing the curriculum of korean language course and studying the preceding works. Moreover we offered the strategies for applying ICT teaching-learning models with korean language learning. The developed 4 ICT teaching-learning models in this study are expected that ICT will use to design ICT teaching-learning model in another courses and teachers take advantage of the 4 models in korean lesson effectively.

Student-, School-, and ICT-Factors Predicting Computer-based Collaborative Problem Solving: Focusing on Analyses of Multi-level Models (컴퓨터 기반의 협력적 문제해결력 성취를 예측하는 학생과 학교 및 ICT 요인 : 다층모형 분석을 중심으로)

  • This study examined student- and school-level background and ICT factors that affected PISA 2015 Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) for Korean students (4863 students from 142 high schools). A two-level hierarchical linear model (HLM) was analyzed from the basic model (model 1) with no predictors to the final model (model 5) with all predictors. Results showed that first, gender, socioeconomic/cultural backgrounds, cooperation level positively predicted CPS scores while perceived unfairness of teacher negatively predicted the outcome. Second, the more frequently ICT was used for out-of-school learning purposes, the less frequently ICT was used for entertainment purposes, and the less frequently ICT was used in schools, the higher CPS scores were. Considering ICT autonomy and social interaction variables measured for the first time in PISA 2015, students who were more interested in ICT and more autonomous in using ICT devices achieved higher CPS scores. On the other hand, the more students considered ICT important as social interaction, the less they gained CPS scores. Third, in terms of school-level characteristics, the smaller the students behavior detrimental to learning, the higher the teachers perceived positive working environment, and the fewer the number of computers available per student, the higher CPS scores were. To facilitate computer-based collaborative problem-solving competence, it is important for students to have interest and autonomy in using ICT. In addition, the guidelines of ICT use and SW curriculum need to be established in order to increase the effectiveness of using ICT device in school.

Development and Application of ICT Teaching Learning Material for Physical Education Applied to the Inquiry Learning Model (탐구 학습 모형을 적용한 체육과 ICT활용 교수 학습 과정안 개발 및 적용)

  • This study proposes to develop an ICT teaching learning material for physical education based on the inquiry learning model, and to verify its efficiency by applying that material. Departing from the conventional simple applications of ICT, this paper studies ICT applications based on a 'learning model' with specific teaching-learning processes and methods in order to achieve the greatest effect for the final learning objective. This study reconstructed an inquiry-teaching-learning model for track and field and gymnastics lessons to fit ICT teaching-learning material, defined at each level with a process model; and developed a feasible curriculum. The developed material was applied to the 5th grade lessons. The result of this application indicated increased efficiency in the teaching-learning objectives, inducing interest in learning as well as in other technical or functional aspects.

Research on Technology, Process, and Strategic Fit of ICT Based Service Model (ICT 기반 융합 서비스 모델의 기술, 프로세스, 전략적 적합 연구)

  • ICT based convergence application is one of the most prevalent industrial issue these days. Despite of criticalness and potential economic opportunities of the ICT based convergence, theoretical research to analyze the feasibility and estimate the economic impact of the application is rather limited. This paper is intended to fill this research gap. In this respect, we develop theoretical framework to quantitatively estimate the differential benefits of convergent applications, which necessarily include underling ICT technology's contribution attributes extractions, and resulting value increments engendered from user's process effectiveness when ICT based service application is adopted. The research model to assess the differential value of the ICT based service application is developed, grounded on theoretical framework of TPC (Technology-to-performance chain) and contingency fit theories. Scenario based survey method is adopted, and SmartPLS 2.0. is used for statistical analysis of the structural equation model using 312 questionnaire. Valid statistical results are presented to provide useful insight.

Teaching-Learning Model Using ICT for Enhancing 'Ability to Put Information Literacy into Practice' (정보 활용의 실천력을 향상시키는 ICT 활용 교수-학습 모형)

  • The present instruction using ICT has a problem that it inclines toward instructing the simple technique of information or communication technology. In this paper, to cope with this problem, we propose a new Teaching-Learning model using ICT. The previous teaching-learning models using ICT are investigated and analyzed. Then, the criteria for evaluating the ability to put information literacy into practice are evenly reflected in the proposed model, is evenly reflected. The result of experiment reveals that the proposed model enhances the ability to put information literacy into practice on 5 items of 6 qualitative evaluation criteria.

  • This study is based on education reforms related to strengthening information education in curriculums. This study develops and presents ' General Economics'Model Utilizing ICT(Information Communication & Technology) in Home Economics'which could be used as a concrete guidance and direction in teaching and learning Economics education in schools. To do so, this study reviews the necessity of adopting ICT in Home Economics instructional activities and it also reviews and analyzes previous studies of how ICT contribute to instructional activities. Such analysis was used as a theoretical basis for the Instructional Model. The Tool of ICT is a useful instructional strategy because it allows the learners'self-lead learning and Performance Assessment. Therefore the 'General Instructional Model Utilizing ICT'interprets the role of ICT tools to adequate class activities in each step of instruction which includes the conventional steps of introduction. development review and evaluation. It also develops and presents Lesson Plan that can be adopted in school education and thereby shows the possibility of practical application of the theory. This study has limits in that the Instructional Model and Lesson Plan are theoretical in nature. Therefore, in future studies it is desirable to critically review the Instructional Model an Lesson Plan and prove their applicability in real classes and the real learning effects.
