A furanofuranoid lignan glycoside, with radical scavenging on peroxynitrite, total reactive oxygen species (ROS) and 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, was isolated from the rhizome of Salvia miltiorrhiza and characterized as (+)-1-hydroxypinoresinol-1-Ο-$\beta$-D-glucoside based on spectroscopic evidence. The compound exhibited peroxynitrite, total ROS and DPPH radical scavenging activities with $IC_{50}$ values of 3.23$\pm$0.04, 2.26$\pm$0.07 and 32.3$\pm$0.13 $\mu$M, respectively. Penicillamine, Trolox (6-hydroxy-2,5,7,8-tetramethylchroman-2-carboxylic acid) and L-ascorbic acid, acting as positive controls, showed radical scavenging activities with $IC_{50}$ values of 6.72$\pm$0.25, 1.43$\pm$0.04 and 11.4$\pm$0.07 $\mu$M, respectively.

QoS is a subject of high interest for successful deployment of various services in a home gateway and the gateway is possible to support QoS by installing existing queuing disciplines, which control the outgoing traffic to guarantee only QoS of the traffic. But m the home gateway it is also important to guarantee QoS of the incoming traffic. This paper proposes an adaptive control of the traffic to guarantee QoS of incoming traffic into the home gateway. In the proposed method, the upper limit of the available bandwidth of sending rate varies with receiving rate. And the proposed method makes the gap between the allocated rate and the actual service rate of the traffic narrow. Some experiments on a test bed show that the proposed method is valid.

A 4-year-old female Cocker spaniel weighing 7.74 kg was presented with a seven-month history of lethargy and skin problems. On the basis of clinical history, physical examination, laboratory tests, electrocardiogram, radiography, ultrasonography, and thyroid function tests, the dog was diagnosed as hypothyroidism. The dog was administered levothyroxine and presented a good response to the therapy. However, uncontrolled for about 6 months, the dog was re-admitted to hospital with depression and three seizure episodes. The dog was diagnosed as hypothyroidism with concurrent myxedema coma and gallbladder mucocele. With fluid therapy and administration of levothyroxine, the dog was successfully controlled for 3 months after starting treatment. This report describes the clinical features and successful treatment of a Cocker spaniel dog with concurrent hypothyroidism and myxedema coma.

Giant cell reparative granuloma (GCRG) is an uncommon benign lesion that is most commonly found in the mandible and maxialla, and is a very rare condition in finger. We report an unusual case of GCRG arising in the index finger of a 21-year-old man. Histology was characteristic of giant cell reparative granuloma.

A squamous odontogenic tumor (SOT) is rare disease and it is believed to originate from epithelial rests of Malassez of the periodontal membrane. Neither sex nor site predilection in either jaw has been established. Some lesion can be shown in juxtaposition in tooth roots. Although most lesions remain smaller than 2 cm, our cases involved a half of left mandibular ramus. The exact pathogenesis is still unknown. We report a case of SOT including the results of immunohistochemical study of pancytokeratin and p53.

The progress in Information & Communication Technology enables data scientists to analyze big data for identifying peoples' daily lives and tacit preferences. A variety of industries already aware the potential usefulness of analyzing big data. However limited use of big data has been performed in game industry. In this research, we adopt data mining technique to analyze data gathered from a strategic simulation game. Decision Tree, Random Forest, Multi-class SVM, and Linear Regression techniques are used to find the most important variables to users' game levels. We provide practical guides for game design and usability based on the analyzed results.

With the development of the Internet environment, various types of online reviews are being generated and exchanged among consumers to share their opinions. In line with this trend, companies are making efforts to analyze online reviews and use the results in various business activities such as marketing, sales, and product development. However, research on online review in industry related to 'Video Game' which is representative experience goods has not been performed enough. Therefore, this study analyzed STEAM community review data using machine learning techniques. We analyzed the factors affecting the opinion of other users' game review. We also propose managerial implications to incease user loyalty and usability.

The purposes of this study were to compare middle school students' alcohol expectancies with high school students' alcohol expectancies and to identify factors (family history of alcohol problems, television advertisements, age, gender, drinking experience, alcohol prevention education) related to their alcohol expectancies. A total of 1,164 middle school students in seven metropolitan areas in Korea participated in this study. The major finding of this study was that the respondents scored higher on negative alcohol expectancies than high school adolescents. As found in previous studies, factors related to adolescents' alcohol expectancies were also significantly related to respondents' alcohol expectancies in this study. Respondents who had family histories of alcohol problems, had drinking experiences, and were older expect drinking in a more positive manner. This study also found that alcohol advertising affected respondents' alcohol expectancies. However, this study found that current substance abuse prevention programs did not affect respondents' alcohol expectancies at all. This finding may suggest that some changes on current prevention programs should be needed in order to be more effective. Finally the result on the relationship gender and alcohol expectancies in this study was different from previous studies. Female respondents expected drinking more positively than male counterparts. This study suggests that further studies on this issue are necessary.

Hydrogen is clean and renewable, and recognized as a very promising energy resource to solve both depletion of petroleum and environmental problems caused by the use of fossil fuels. Extensive researches have been performed worldwide on the production technologies of hydrogen. In this paper, the technology trend of photo-electrochemical (PEC) hydrogen production was scrutinized based on the patent and paper analysis. Open/registered patents of US, JP, EP, and KR and SCI Journals related to the PEC hydrogen production technology between 1996~2010 were reviewed. Patents and papers were gathered by using the key-words searching method and filtered by desirable filtering criteria. The technology trend was discussed by classifying each patent and paper based on the publishing year, country, and organization, and analyzing the core patents and papers.

P-type transparent semiconductor $SrCu_2O_2$ thin films have been prepared by RF sputtering using low-alkali glass for LCD and quartz as substrates. Single phase of $SrCu_2O_2$ powder was obtained by heating a stoichiometric mixture of CuO and $SrCO_3$ at 1223K for 96h under N2 gas flow, and target was fabricated at 1243K for 24h. Room temperature conductivity of the sintered body was about 0.02S/cm, and the activation energy in the temperature range of $-50^{\circ}C$~RT and RT~$150^{\circ}C$ were 0.18eV, 0.07eV, respectively. Effects of deposition pressure and post-annealing temperature on the electrical and optical properties of the obtained thin film have been investigated.
