This study has been conducted to classify elderly men's feet with the three-dimensional body scanner data of Size Korea. It was intended to assist the manufacturing of the shoes that can appropriately perform the functions of feet, by providing the specific information about the shapes of elderly men's feet that are altered as a result of aging and shoe-wearing for a long time. The findings are as follows. 1. The investigations into the average and standard deviation of the measurements and index values for the elderly men's feet showed a large personal difference in the items of length and circumference. 2. The factors constituting the elderly men's feet were observed to be the size of foot width(Factor 1), the central angle of feet and the extension of toes(Factor 2), the size of ankle(Factor 3), the positions of lateral malleolus and pternion(Factor 4), and the position and size of medial malleolus(Factor 5). 3. The cluster analysis for the classification of elderly men's feet produced three types of them.

Hyperlipidemia is one of dangerous factors causing the arteriosclerosis. For the study of Cheunggansoyosan-gamibang( CGSYS) on antihyperlipidemic effect, we had fed mice divided to three groups (basal diet, hyperlipidemic diet, hyperlipidemic diet + CGSYS), and observed the change of weight, total cholesterol. triglyceride, HDL-cholesterol. LDL-cholesterol. sGOT, sGPT on the serum per every 7days for 6weeks. Also to compensate for the results above, we had tested rat liver. The results of this Study were obtained as fallows ; 1. Cholesterol change on blood was decreased by CGSYS. 2. Total cholesterol. triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol were significantly decreased by CGSYS. 3. HDL-cholesterol was significantly increasd by CGSYS. 4. sGPT was significantly decreased by CGSYS. 5. sGOT was not changed by CGSYS. 6. In case of supplying CGSYS. fatty degeneration was not observed in liver portal area. This study suggests that Cheunggansoyosan-gamibang was significant effect with hyperlipidemia.

In this paper, we investigate for how to define a fuzzy measure by using the semi-normed fuzzy integral of a given measurable function with respect to another given fuzzy measure when t-seminorm is continuous. Let (X, F, g) be a fuzzy measure space, h$\in$L$^\circ$(X), and $\top$ be a continuous t-seminorm.. Then the set function $\nu$ defined by $\nu$(A)=$\int _A$h$\top$g for any $A\in$F is a fuzzy measure on (X, F).

To investigate the expression efficiency of new transfer vector of Bombyx mori nuclear polyhedrosis virus (BmNPV), Escherichia coli lacZ gene was inserted into new transfer vector pBmKSK1, under the control of polyhedrin promoter and expressed in BmN-4 cells and larvae of silkworm, Bombyx mori. The recombinant virus containing lacZ gene was isolated from BmN-4 cells coinfected with transfer vectro pBmKSK1-LacZ and wild type BmNPV genome, and analysed by Southern blotting. The expression of ${\beta}$-galactosidase was characterized by SDS-PAGE, Western blotting and ${\beta}$-galactosidase activity assay. The results showed that the level of expression in silkworm larvae was higher than that of BmN-4 cells.

The waffle-cone technique is a modified stent application technique, which involves protrusion of the distal portion of a stent into an aneurysm fundus to provide neck support for subsequent coiling. The authors report two cases of wide necked basilar bifurcation aneurysms, which were not amenable to stent assisted coiling, that were treated using the waffle-cone technique with a Solitaire AB stent. A 58-year-old woman presented with severe headache. Brain CT showed subarachnoid hemorrhage and angiography demonstrated a ruptured giant basilar bifurcation aneurysm with broad neck, which was treated with a Solitaire AB stent and coils using the waffle-cone technique. The second case involved an 81-year-old man, who presented with dizziness caused by brain stem infarction. Angiography also demonstrated a large basilar bifurcation unruptured aneurysm with broad neck. Solitaire AB stent deployment using the waffle-cone technique, followed by coiling resulted in near complete obliteration of aneurysm. The waffle-cone technique with a Solitaire AB stent can be a useful alternative to conventional stent application when it is difficult to catheterize bilateral posterior cerebral arteries in patients with a wide-necked basilar bifurcation aneurysm.

Objectives : This is a case series reporting of the improvement in patients with a lumbar herniated intervertebral disc by means of acupotomy combined with oriental medicine. Methods : We treated seven patients with a lumbar herniated intervertebral disc with acupotomy combined with oriental medical treatment. We checked the numeric rating scale(NRS), oswestry low back pain disability index(ODI) and range of motion(ROM). Results : NRS and ODI decreased, and ROM improved in all cases. Conclusions : This study shows acupotomy has a meaningful effect when applied on a lumbar herniated intervertebral disc.

The purposes of this study lied in the analysis and classification of neck-base circumference shapes of the women in their twenties, by the application of three-dimensional automatic measurement data of human body, and thereby in the understanding of neck-base circumference shapes by the classified type. The findings are as follows: 1. The comparison of three-dimensional human body measurement items relating to the neck-base circumference part of the women in their twenties indicated that the largest individual difference was found in cervicale-center-anterior neck radius than in other items. 2. The factor analysis, which was conducted to extract the factors constituting the neck-base circumference, showed the shape of cervicale(factor 1), the shape of section neck(factor 2), the thickness of neck(factor 3), the shape of anterior neck(factor 4), and the shape of side neck(factor 5). 3. The classification of the neck-base circumference shapes resulted in three types. Type 1 was the shape of a reverse triangle hanging forward, Type 2 was that of a circle, and Type 3 was that of an oval open to the sides.

According to previous reports, antioxidant activities of Codonopsis lanceolata could be increased by a steaming process. This study was performed to improve its antioxidant activity and skin whitening activities of C. lanceolata by high pressure and stepwise steaming complex process. The complex processed C. lanceolata showed highest free radical scavenging acitivity as 45.21%, and for phenol and flavonoid contents, complex processed C. lanceolata contained higher than those from conventional extraction process or steaming process alone. The Cytotoxicity of all C. lanceolata extracts also showed low cytotoxicity against human fibroblast cell (CCD-986sk) as 4.49 ~ 10.40%. In whitening activity, high inhibition of tyrosinase activity was estimated as 25.08% by adding the extracts from complex process. We found that whitening and antioxidant activity of complex processed C. lancolata extract was higher than those obtained from conventional extraction and a steaming process because various kinds of antioxidant compounds could be easily released by combined process, compared to one of each process.

This paper presents a new method for an efficient coding of very low bit-rate color video based on adaptive wavelet transform. Our approach reveals that the coding process works more efficiently if the quantized wavelet coefficients are preprocessed by a mechanism exploiting the redundancies in the wavelet subband structure. Thus, we focuses optimized activity of coding part, and exhaustive overlapped block motion compensation is utilized to ensure coherency in motion compensated error frames, and raised cosine window is applied. The horizontal and vertical components of motion vectors are encoded separately using adaptive arithmetic coding while significant wavelet coefficients are encoded in bit-plane order using adaptive arithmetic coding. On average the proposed codec exceeds H.263 and ZTE in peak signal-to-noise ratio by as much as 2.07 and 1.38dB at 28 kbits, respectively. Fore entire sequence coding, 3DWCVC method is superior to H.263 and ZTE by 0.35 and 0.71dB on average, respectively.

In this paper, we provide the analysis of device model and method between device models for compatible M&S V&V of the NetSPIN. First of all, we analysis features, structure, and classification of the NetSPIN. The second, as a part of reliable V&V process, we analysis network system modeling process, correlation between device modeling process for M&S of the NetSPIN. The third, we suggest making a kind of pool of reference model and module of devices for the increase factor of reuse between device model. We also, at the point view of M&S V&V, conclude that there is the validity of the fidelity in device modeling process. Through the analysis of the NetSPIN device model and suggestion of the method for higher compatibility between device modes, the development process of device model be clearly understood. Also we present the effective method of the development for reliable device mode as the point of V&V.
