폴리머 링 공진기 기반의 가감필터 반사기와 반사형 반도체 광 증폭기가 하이브리드 집적된 파장 가변 레이저 (Hybrid-integrated Tunable Laser Using Polymer-ring Resonator-based Add/Drop Filter Reflector and Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier)

  • 본 논문에서는 고굴절률차 폴리머 도파로를 이용하여 이중 링 공진기 가감필터(Add/Drop Filter) 반사기를 설계하고 제작하였다. 이 가감필터 반사기를 반사형 반도체 광 증폭기와 하이브리드 집적함으로써 저가형 파장가변 레이저를 제작하고 그 측정결과를 분석하였다. 이중 링 공진기 반사기는 서로 다른 반경을 가진 두 개의 링 공진기로 인하여 선택적인 반사 특성을 가지게 되며, 버니어 효과로 인하여 넓은 파장가변 특성을 가질 수 있다. 반사형 반도체 광 증폭기와 능동 정렬을 통하여 제작된 하이브리드 집적 파장가변 레이저는 26 dB의 부 모드 억제율과 0.03 nm의 선폭을 가지며 단일 모드로 발진하였다. 또한 25 mA의 전류를 이중 링 공진기 가감필터 반사기 상부에 형성된 전극에 인가하여 총 17 nm의 파장가변을 측정하였으며, 파장가변 과정에서 부 모드 억제율은 일정하게 유지됨을 확인하였다.

Tuned Mass Damper(TMD)를 이용한 구조물의 Linear Quadratic Gaussian(LQG) 하이브리드 진동제어 (LQG Hybrid Vibration Control of a Structure Using TMD)

  • 본 연구는 지진동을 받는 구조물의 응답을 제어하기 위한 하이브리드 LQG 기법의 효용성을 조사하는 것이 목적이다. 입력 기진력은 엘센트로 지진이며 지반 가속도을 적절히 조절하여 구조물이 탄성 범위내에서 거동하도록 하였다. 수동 제어 장치로서 최상층에 설계된 TMD는 LQG 제어 알고리즘에 의해 통제되며 능동 제어기와 함께 하이브리드 제어 시스템을 이룬다. 이 기법을 통해 제어된 변위 응답을 비교한 결과 순수하게 능동 제어를 한 경우에 비해 훨씬 작은 크기의 입력으로도 변위를 제어할 수 있었으며 센서의 위치는 최상층에 부착하는 것이 가장 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

  • This paper presents a unified control scheme for series-type active power filters combined with shunt passive filters for the source voltage unbalance compensation and the power factor correction simultaneously. The power factor correction is achieved by controlling the amplitude of reactive power current in a series filter as zero in a synchronously rotating reference frame. The proposed algorithm successfully compensates the source voltage unbalance and the power factor. The validity of the proposed scheme has been verified by simulation for a 3-kVA hybrid active power filter system.

A Study on the Reduction Process of VOCs Emission from Paint Booth - A Hybrid Process of Biotrickling Filter and Activated Sludge Reactor

  • A novel hybrid system composed of a biotrickling filter and an activated sludge reactor was investigated under the conditions of four different SRTs (sludge retention times). The performance of the hybrid reactor was found to be directly comparable among the four different sludge ages. Discernible differences in the removal performance were observed among four different SRTs of 2, 4, 6, and 8 days. High removal efficiency was achieved by continuous circulation of activated sludge over the immobilized mixture culture, which allowed on pH control, addition of nutrients, and removal of paint VOCs (volatile organic compounds). The results also showed that the removal efficiency for a given pollutant depends on the activity of microorganisms based on the SRT. As the SRT increased gradually from 2 to 8 days, the average removal performance decreased. The highest removal rate was achieved at the SRT of 2 days at which the highest OUR (oxygen uptake rate), $6.1mg-O_2/liter-min$ was measured. Biological activity in the recycle microbes decreased to a much lower level, $3.6mg-O_2/liter-min$ at a SRT of 8 days. It is thus believed that young microorganisms were more active and more efficient for the VOCs removal of low concentrations and high flow rates. The apparent correlation of $R^2=0.996$ between the average removal efficiency and the average OUR at each SRTs suggests that VOCs degradation by young cells significantly affected the overall removal efficiency for the tested SRTs.

서브밴드 하이브리드 적응필터를 이용한 다중채널 능동소음제어 (Multi-channel Active Noise Control Using Subband Hybrid Adaptive Filters)

  • 본 논문에서는 서브밴드 기법을 이용한 다중채널 능동소음제어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 서브밴드 제어 기법은 3차원 폐공간에서의 능동소음제어서 가장 문제가 되는 계산량을 줄이고 성능올 향상시키기 위한 방법으로, 소음신호를 여러 개의 주파수 밴드로 분할하여 병렬 처리함으로서 원하는 주파수 범위의 소음을 효과적으로 제거할 수 있어 기존의 알고리즘 보다 낮은 차수의 적웅필터를 사용할 수 있다. 적용필터 알고리즘으로 서브밴드로 나펀 기준입력 대신에 오차신호를 perfiltering하는 adjoint LMS 알고리즘을 적용하여 전체적인 계산량의 감소를 이룰 수 있었으며, 성능 향상올 위하여 기존의 하이브리드 제어기법을 변형하여 전향제어기와 궤환제어기의 특성을 가중적으로 갖는 하이브리드 제어기법올 광대역 소음제어 시스템에 적용하여 우수한 소음제거특성과 시스템의 높은 안정성올 얻었다. 제안된 알고리즘의 성능을 평가하기 위해서 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 기존의 알고리즘과 비교하였다.

하이브리드 제어 알고리즘을 이용한 덕트내 능동소음제어 (Active Noise Control in a Duct System Using the Hybrid Control Algorithm)

  • This study presents the active noise control of duct noise. The duct was excited by a steady-state harmonic and white noise force and the control was performed by one control speaker attached to surface of the duct. An adaptive controller based on filtered x LMS(FXLMS) algorithm was used and controller was defined by minimizing the square of the response of the error microphone. The assemble controller, which is called a hybrid ANC(active noise control) system, was combined with feedforward and feedback controller. The feedforward ANC attenuates primary noise that is correlated with the reference signal, while the feedback ANC cancels the narrowband components of the primary noise that are not observed by the reference sensor. Furthermore, in many ANC applications, the periodic components of noise are the most intense and the feedback ANC system has the effect of reducing the spectral peaks of the primary noise, thus easing the burden of the feedforward ANC filter.

동흡진기를 이용한 유연 구조물의 강건제어 (Robust Control of Flexible Structure Using Dynamic Vibration Absorber)

  • Hybrid mass damper systems have recently been introduced as a dynamic vibration absorber to exploit the benefits of both the conventional tuned mass damper system and the active control system. A hybrid system is programmed to function as either a conventional TMD or as an active system according to the wind conditions and the resultant building and damper mass vibration characteristics. This paper deals with the design of the robust controller for the control of the flexible box structure. The control algorithm was devised based on $H_2$(LQG) robust control logic with acceleration feedback and to improve the capability of the controller Kalman Filter was accepted for the system. To test the ability of the robust controller using the linear motor damper system, performance tests and simulations were carried out on the full-scale steel frame structure. Through the performance tests, it was confirmed that acceleration levels are reduced down.

  • Recently evolved power electronics' based domestic/residential appliances have begun to behave as single phase non-linear loads. Performing as voltage/current harmonic sources, those loads when connected to a three phase distribution network contaminate the line current with harmonics in addition to creating a neutral wire current increase. In this paper, an enhanced performance three phase four leg shunt active power filter (SAPF) controller is presented as a solution for this problem. The presented control strategy incorporates a hybrid predictive fuzzy-logic based technique. The predictive part is responsible for the SAPF compensating current generation while the DC-link voltage control is performed by a fuzzy logic technique. Simulations at various loading conditions are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique. In addition, an experimental test rig is implemented for practical validation of the of the enhanced performance of the proposed technique.

  • Mostly a ride comfort and handling performance of vehicle is influenced by dynamic behavior control of vehicle. We are focusing on development of a semi-intelligent suspension system with continuously variable damper(HS-SH type). only using absolute velocity of sprung mass without using the relative velocity besides having lower system prices and a little energy requirement. In this paper, the system is realized in consideration to control strategy (sky-hook control, hybrid filter, etc.) and has been proved to have improvement of behavior control of vehicle by quarter car and Vehicle test, respectively.

직렬 능동 보상기의 과전류 보호방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Over-Current Protection Method of A Series Active Compensator)

  • A protection scheme for series active compensator is presented and analyzed in this paper. The proposed series active compensator operated as a high impedance K($\Omega$) to the fundamentals when short-circuit faults occur in the power distribution system, and two control strategies are proposed in this paper The first is the method by detecting the fundamental source current through the p-q theory, the second is the method by detecting the fundamental component of load current in Synchronous Reference Frame(SRF). When the short-circuit faults occur in the power distribution system, the proposed scheme can protect the series active compensator without additional protection circuits. The validity of the Proposed Protection scheme was investigated through experimental results.
