Thermal Analysis using Thermal Equivalent Circuit Analysis and Finite Element Method of In-wheel Motor (In-wheel 전동기의 열 등가회로 해석 및 유한요소해법을 이용한 열해석)

  • A thermal equivalent circuit of IPMSM considering eddy current loss of PM and core loss of rotor is proposed. This thermal equivalent model is represented by the thermal resistances and thermal capacitances. In order to determine the factor of each parameter, a heating test is processed. Additionally, the eddy current loss of PM is calculated by a transient 3D finite element analysis. Finally, this thermal equivalent model is verified by a temperature test in a 25kW 12-pole/18-slot IPMSM with varying load.

  • In this paper, we have proposed the contrast control method for improving image quality. The proposed method can be easily applied to the FPD (flat panel display) which requires real-time processing because of its lower hardware complexity that the conventional methods. In addition, it can flexibly control the contrast of input image by arraying the weight values that control the contrast range. Visual test and standard deviation of their histograms have been introduced to evaluate the results of proposed method and the original images. The functional operation of he proposed method has been verified using the SYNOPSYS VHDL tool and computer simulation. Its results show that he proposed method might be very suitable for real-time processing on the FPD.

  • 최근 대기환경 악화로 송전용 철탑 도장의 열화가 촉진되어 내후성이 강한 신도료를 송전철탑에 적용이 필요하게 되었다. 도료 제조업체의 신도료로 도장시편을 제작하여 옥외에 폭로후 전문기관에서 성능을 확인하였으며, 이를 토대로 도료의 재질을 실리콘 아크릴우레탄계로 변경하였으며, 철탑용 도료 성능시험 기준을 강화하여 철탑 재도장에 따른 유지보수 비용 절감이 될 수 있도록 개선하였다.

  • This paper presents a method for designing a high power motor that is applicable to electric vehicles. Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) type motor which has high efficiency and high durability is selected. To apply for the electric vehicles, a form, a tire and a wheel of vehicles are considered when calculating a motor performance. After calculating a motor performance, space harmonic analysis and FEA(Finite Element Analysis) is used for designing In-Wheel motor.

  • In this paper, an analytical method used for predicting the magnetic field distribution and cogging torque characteristic in a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is presented. The magnetic field is analyzed with the space harmonic analysis, and the cogging torque is calculated based on the air-gap field distribution and slot-opening effect considered by relative permeance. The validity of the presented analytical method is confirmed by 2-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA). Then this analytical method combines with response surface methodology (RSM) is applied to the prototype PMSM model rebuilding in order to minimize the cogging torque. Finally, an optimized PMSM model is built and the cogging torque reduction is confirmed by FEA.

  • This paper deals with the characteristics of SPMSM for hydraulic actuator according to the slot number. As a design variable, slot number affects the winding configuration and this leads to the total variation of motor characteristic. Therefore number of slot should be cautiously determined. Three SPMSMs are designed and THD of back emf, cogging torque, and torque ripple are compared. Among three SPMSMs, 36slots with 12 pole is chosen for further development considering motor characteristics and manufacturing.

  • The effect of aqueous extract of Isodon japonicus Hara (Labiatae) (IJAE) on mast cell-mediated immediate-type allergic reactions was investigated. IJAE inhibited compound 48/80-induced systemic anaphylaxis and immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated local anaphylaxis. When IJAE was pretreated at the same concentration with systemic anaphylaxis, serum histamine levels were reduced in a dose-dependent manner. IJAE dose-dependently inhibited histamine release from rat peritoneal mast cells (RPMC) activated by compound 48/80. The level of cAMP in human mast cell line (HMC-1) cells, when IJAE was added, significantly was increased, compared with that of normal control. These results indicate that IJAE will beneficial in the treatment of immediate-type allergic reaction.
