초등학생의 유머 감각과 창의성, 과학 유머 창의성, 과학 유머 만들기의 교육적 효과에 대한 인식의 관계 (Relationships among Sense of Humor, Creativity, Creativity in Scientific Humor, and Perceptions of Educational Benefits for Making Scientific Humor of Elementary Students)

  • This study investigated the relationships among 'sense of humor', 'creativity', 'creativity in scientific humor', and 'perceptions of educational benefits for making scientific humor' of elementary students. To do this, fifth graders (n=42) at an elementary school and fifth graders (n=38) at gifted science education institutes in Seoul were selected. Tests for 'sense of humor', 'creativity', 'creativity in scientific humor', and 'perceptions of educational benefits for making scientific humor' were then administered. Analysis of the results revealed that all subcategories of 'sense of humor' had significantly positive relationships with all subcategories of 'creativity' except 'openness'. However, all subcategories of 'sense of humor' were not significantly correlated with all subcategories of 'creativity in scientific humor' and 'perception of educational benefits for making scientific humor'. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

초등학생의 유머감각과 음악성이 자신감에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Self-confidence in Elementary School Students related to Sense of Humor and Music)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the impact of sense of humor and music on the self-confidence of elementary students with general characteristics. The research found differences between the impact of each participants' sense of humor and sense of music on self-confidence. Methods: The participants of this study comprised 265 children who were 3rd to 6th grade elementary students who lived in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do. The participants reported their sense of humor sense, sense of music and self-confidence on three separate questionnaires. The data were analyzed by means of descriptive statistics and t-test, ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: The results showed an increase in self-confidence related to the higher income status, young aged mothers and birth order. Moreover, academic achievement was shown to relate to a high sense of humor and music, and self-confidence. The elementary students with a sense of humor and music and self-confidence showed a significant positive correlation with each other. Conclusion: The above results of this study can be utilized as a source in the development of programs applying sense of humor and music to improve the self-confidence of elementary school students.

보육교사의 직무스트레스와 행복감 간의 관계에 대한 유머감각의 중재효과 (The Moderating Effect of Childcare Teachers' Sense of Humor in the Relation Between Their Job Stress and Happiness)

  • Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the moderating role of childcare teachers' sense of humor in the relationship between their job stress and happiness Methods: Participants were 294 childcare teachers working at 83 childcare centers located in Busan and Gyeongnam. Teachers completed a rating scale in order to examine their demographic variables, job stress, sense of humor, and happiness. The collected data were analyzed using product-moment correlation and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Childcare teachers' job stress was negatively correlated with their happiness. And childcare teachers' sense of humor had a positive relationship with their happiness. Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the interaction of childcare teachers' job stress and sense of humor predicted their happiness. Childcare teachers' job stress was significantly associated with their happiness among those who demonstrated the lowest level of sense of humor. Childcare teachers' job stress had no relationship with their happiness, especially for those with the highest level of sense of humor Conclusion/Implications: We suggested that having a sense of humor might be valuable for childcare teachers in order to buffer the link between their job stress and happiness.

간호사의 유머감각, 자존감과 간호업무성과와의 관계 (Relationship among Sense of Humor, Self-esteem, and Performance in Nurses)

  • Purpose: The study was done to identify relations among sense of humor, self-esteem, and performance in nurses. Methods: Data were collected by questionnaires from 198 nurses in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Measures were sense of humor, self-esteem, and performance. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 13.0 version. Results: This study shows that performance of nurses has significant difference according to age, marriage, education level, income and clinical experience. The performance of nurses has positive correlation with their sense of humor and self-esteem. The higher clinical experience, sense of humor, and self-esteem they have, the better performance they make. The factors that affect performance of nurses are clinical experience, sense of humor and self-esteem. The degree of explanation is 36.5%. Conclusion: Knowing that sense of humor and self-esteem of nurse are significant factors which can cause nurses' better performance, we suggest an education program that can help nurses to develop and manage their sense of humor.

임상치과위생사의 유머감각이 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of humor sense on job satisfaction and turnover intention in clinical dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of humor sense on job satisfaction and turnover intention in clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 277 dental hygienists in Chungnam from May to June, 2014. The instrument for humor sense was adapted from Thorson and Powell instrument by Lee and 20 questions. Each question included humor making and preference for humor and scored by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.869. Job satisfaction was adapted from Smith Job Description Index and included task requirement, collaborate support, manager support, promotion, and wages and score by Likert 5 scale. Cronbach's alpha in the study was 0.827. Turnover intention was developed by Lee and 5 questions was score by Likert 5 scale. Crobach's alpha was 0.712 in the study. Results: The average of humor sense was 3.33, average of job satisfaction was 3.20, and average of turnover intention was 3.05. The sense of humor had a positive effect on turnover intention. Conclusions: This result will provide the high productivity and high quality of life in clinical dental hygienists. Humor sense is the important factor that support the job satisfaction and decrease the turnover intention.

레스토랑 종업원의 유머감각이 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effects of Restaurant Employees' Sense of Humor on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention)

  • 본 연구는 외식기업의 효율적인 인적자원관리를 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 외식산업에 종사하는 서울지역 레스토랑 종업원을 대상으로 유머감각이 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향에 대해 실증적으로 분석하였다. 유머감각은 메타메시지 감수성, 유머의 선호도, 정서의 표현성, 유머에 의한 대처 요인으로 도출되었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유머감각 요인 중 유머에 대한 선호도, 유머에 의한 대처, 메타메시지 감수성 순으로 직무만족에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 정서의 표현성은 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유머에 대한 선호도, 정서의 표현성순으로 이직의도에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 메타메시지 감수성, 유머에 의한 대처는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 유머감각이 직무만족과 이직의도에 유의한 영향을 미친다는 연구결과를 토대로 유머감각에 대한 중요성을 인식하고 종업원 선발시 유머감각에 대한 평가가 고려되어야 할 것이다.

중년여성의 유머감각, 유머대처, 스트레스 지각 및 자아존중감과의 관계 (The Relationship between Sense of Humor, Coping with Humor, Perceived Stress and Self-esteem in the Middle-aged Women)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify the relationship between Sense of Humor, Coping Humor, Perceived stress and self-esteem in the middle-aged women. Methods: Data were collected from the 20th of June to the 30th of August in 2009 from 145 middle-aged women living in Seoul. Data analysis was done with SPSS/WIN 12.0 program for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. Results: The mean score of the humor sense was $55.94{\pm}6.52$, coping humor was $21.11{\pm}3.82$, perceived stress was $22.21{\pm}3.03$ and self-esteem was $27.50{\pm}2.88$. Subcategories of sense of humor were that emotional expressiveness was average $20.75{\pm}2.70$, meta-message sensitivity was average $20.12{\pm}2.74$ and liking of humor was average $15.13{\pm}3.44$. Sense of humor was difference according to the economic status(t=2.000, p=.047), coping humor was difference according to the on medication use(t=2.227, p=.027). There was a significant correlation between the coping humor, perceived stress and the self-esteem. When the coping humor was higher, perceived stress was lower and the self-esteem was higher. Conclusion: This study showed that medication and economic status influences the humor scores and the sense of humor and coping humor were related to perceived stress and self-esteem in middle-aged women Therefore, these findings can provide the basis for the development of nursing intervention to increase the ability to coping with stress.

학령 후기 아동의 일상적 스트레스가 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 중재하는 보호요인 : 자기통제력과 유머감각 (Self-control and Sense of Humor as Moderating Factors for Negative Effects of Daily Hassles on School Adjustment for Children)

  • This study investigated whether children's self-control and sense of humor could moderate negative effects of daily hassles on their school adjustment. Subjects of this study were 880 6th graders (468 boys, 412 girls) in the Seoul metropolitan area. Children reported their daily hassles, school adjustment, self-control, and sense of humor on questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analysis, and moderated regression analysis. Results showed that children who experienced less daily hassles, had higher self-control, and higher sense of humor were well-adjusted in their schools. Children's self-control and sense of humor moderated negative effects of daily hassles on school adjustment of children, although the moderate effect was weak.

물리치료사 유머감각과 임파워먼트와의 관계 (The Relationship Between a Physical Therapist's Sense of Humor and Empowerment)

  • Purpose : This study aims to provide fundamental information for increasing a physical therapist's empowerment and suggesting effective ways to incorporate humor into the physical therapist's organizations by investigating a level of perceived sense of humor and empowerment, as well as examining the relationship between them. Method : This study was conducted in the country's 9 general hospitals, 11 rehabilitation hospitals, 20 clinics. The data of general characteristics, sense of humor, and empowerment were collected from 1 August 2012 to 25 August 2012. A total of 300 clinical instructors were distributed and collected. The call response rate was 94.7%(n=284). The collected data were analyzed by spss/pc + 12.0 Result : 1. The mean score of the physical therapist's sense of humor was $56.53{\pm}05.58$ out of 84 and each of the sub-dimensions were scored in order of emotional expressiveness, liking of humor and metamessage sensitivity. 2. The mean score of the physical therapist's empowerment was $56.67{\pm}12.72$ out of 84 and each of the sub-dimensions scored in order of meaning, competence, self-determination and impact. 3. There was no significant difference between the sense of humor and the empowerment(r=0.093, p=0.118). 4. There were no significant difference in sense of humor. 5. There were significant differences in the levels of the empowerment by sex, marriage, workers satisfaction, age, attainment in scholarship, workplace, and duration of work. Conclusion : Although there was no significant difference between the sense of humor and the empowerment. the sub-dimension of human preference was significant.

상급종합병원 임상간호사의 유머감각과 낙관성이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of sense of humor and optimism on the nursing performance of the clinical nurse in the advanced general hospital)

  • 본 연구는 임상간호사의 유머감각, 낙관성, 간호업무성과의 정도를 파악하고 각 변수간의 상관관계를 파악하고 간호업무성과의 영향요인을 규명하고자 하였다. S 특별시 3개 상급 종합병원에 근무 중인 간호사 183명을 연구대상자로 하였으며, 자료수집은 2018년 2월 1일부터 2018년 4월 8일까지 하였다. 유머감각, 낙관성, 간호업무성과는 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 일반적 특성 중 간호업무성과에 영향을 주는 요인은 교육수준, 교대근무, 경력이었고, 유머감각과 낙관성이 영향을 미쳤다. 이 3개 변수의 설명력은 38.6%로 나타났다. 따라서 임상간호사의 간호업무성과를 향상시키기 위하여 유머감각과 낙관성을 증진할 필요성이 있으며, 본 연구결과가 기초자료로 이용될 수 있을 것이다. 향후 간호사에게 유머감각과 낙관성 증진 프로그램을 적용하여 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 연구가 필요할 것이다.
