사람-사람, 사람-사물의 대화를 지원하는 인스턴트 메신저 구현 (Implementation of an Instant Messenger Supporting Human-Human and Human-Thing Communication)

  • This paper is about the implementation of MyTalk, an instant messaging system, which supports human-human and human-thing communication. It consists of agents which are representatives of communication entities, and agent windows for user interfaces. Users can communicate with their buddies, and monitor and control remote "things" and devices with MyTalk. We also introduce the concept of agent window, which provides the most suitable GUIs (text, form, graph etc) for communication. Currently, MyTalk supports ordering goods, controlling devices like printers, monitoring sensors, managing applications, and real-time talk. Furthermore, we can extend it to application platform for remote monitoring, remote controlling, and real time cooperation.

  • 정보통신과 산업기술의 급속한 발전으로 인간과 모든 프로그램 그리고 사물들이 인터넷을 통해 연결되는 초연결사회(hyper-connected society)가 구현되고 있다. 초연결사회를 구현하기 위한 정보의 수집은 사물과 사물 그리고 사물과 인간을 연결하는 사물인터넷(IoT: Internet of Thing)이 그 역할을 담당하고 있다. (MQTT: Message Queuing Telemetry Transport)는 이런 사물인터넷의 제약된 통신환경에 최적화되어 개발된 푸시 기술(push technology) 기반의 경량 메시지 전송 프로토콜이다. 초연결사회를 지향하면서 IoT가 담고 있는 정보는 센서의 환경정보에서 이제는 사람의 질병과 건강관리까지 담당하는 광범위한 정보가 되었다. 이런 MQTT에 대한 보안 문제는 환경정보 유출뿐만 아니라 개인의 정보 침해에까지 이르게 되었다. 우리는 이런 MQTT의 보안의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 혼돈계의 초기치 민감성, 유사 난수성을 무결성과 기밀성에 적용하여 새로운 보안 MQTT통신방법을 설계하였다. 우리가 설계한 혼돈계를 이용한 암호화 방법은 구조가 간단하고 계산량이 적기 때문에 IoT와 같은 제한된 통신환경에 적합한 통신방법이라고 생각된다.

공간에서의 인터랙션 디자인 개념 적용에 대한 연구 (A Study on Applying the Concepts of Interaction Design to Space)

  • Interface is a medium or channel to communicate between human and things, while interaction is the manner of communication between them. Interaction design is designing experience of user through the interaction process for human, thing, system, and space. Richard Buchanan suggests four kinds of interaction: interface (person to thing interaction), transaction (person to person interaction), human interaction (human and environment interaction) and participation (human to cosmos interaction). With digital technology, architecture and space design have made various experiments at form, function, and content of space. Space evolves from a physical container to a stage to provide narrative and create new experience to users. Since understanding users, creating experience, efficient space design, content planning, and applicable technology are required for interaction design in space, multi-disciplinary research and cooperation is needed.

Study on Automatic Human Body Temperature Measurement System Based on Internet of Things

  • Body temperature plays an important role in medicine, some diseases are characterized by changes in human body temperature. Monitoring body temperature also allows doctors to monitor the effectiveness of medical treatments. Accurate body temperature measurement is key to detecting fevers, especially fevers related to infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus that caused the recent Covid-19 pandemic in the world. The solution of measuring body temperature using a thermal camera is fast but has a high cost and is not suitable for some organizations with difficult economic conditions today. Use a medical thermometer to measure body temperature directly for a slow rate, making it easier to spread disease from person to person. In this paper, we propose a completely automatic body temperature measurement system that can adjust the height according to the person taking the measurement, has a measurement logging system and is monitored via the internet. Experimental results show that the proposed method has successfully created a fully automatic human body measurement system. Furthermore, this research also helps the school's scientists and students gain more knowledge and experience to apply Internet of Things technology in real life.

디지털 영상을 활용한 패션쇼의 커뮤니케이션 특성 (Communication Characteristics of Fashion Shows Using Digital Images)

  • In the fashion industry, the thing that shows the latest trends and makes issues is the fashion show. The function of fashion shows is changing from a promotional mean to a method of communication with customers. Recently, some fashion shows have used digital images and omitted traditional parts of a fashion show such as models, stages, garments, music and audiences. In this study, 30 fashion shows that used digital images were selected from the 2000-2010 collections of Paris, Milan, London and New York, and its communication characteristics were analyzed and discussed. The three categories of the communication characteristics are as follows: First, the shows used digital images as stage sceneries or effects to create desired stage effects. The digital images were used as extra tools to reinforce the concept of the fashion show. Second, the fashion shows used real-time videos to extend its presentation into the virtual space. The interactive videos were designed to encourage audiences to actively participate in the show. Third, the digital images were the focus of the show for the internet-only digital fashion shows. Since the Internet is not constrained by time or space, multi-faceted, communication between audiences and fashion designers or among audiences is possible. In addition, the number of audience it can reach is higher than traditional fashion shows. Digital images will be used more often in the fashion shows. In the future, fashion shows will try to become more interactive with audiences through the use of new digital image technology.

  • From the last past decade, the Internet of Thing (IoT) area has attracted a lot of attention from researchers. It is said to be a promising technology with great impact in people life, since it redefines the relationship objects have with Human and between themselves. It allows objects to gather data from the real world and communicate with others through the internet. This enabled many opportunities for service providers, companies, factories, environmental monitoring, healthcare, smart cities, and soon. Therefore, today, IoT is densely used in various domains of life, and knows an exponential growth. However, although many advancements have been achieved, several challenges keep causing issues and still need to be overcome. This paper gives an overview on the current trend issues in IoT on which researchers are focusing. It's also explores different proposed frameworks to allow the application of cognitive computing as an integrated process of an Internet of things (IoT) systems, to bring a great advanced in the way machine may communicate with human and their surroundings. This is known as cognitive IoT (CIoT), which allows machines to produce a human-like behavior, then providing enhanced level of capabilities to IoT.

세분화 단계(LOD)를 적용한 카툰렌더링 (Cartoon Rendering with Level-of-Detail)

  • 비사실적 렌더링은 인간 친화적인 영상을 생성하기 위해 사람이 손으로 그린 듯한 느낌의 영상 생성을 목적으로 하는 연구 분야이다. 그 중 카툰렌더링은 인간이 사물을 인식할 때 가장 기본적이고 직관적인 표현의 수단인 외곽과 선을 이용해 사물을 표현하는 기술이다. 이때 카툰 렌더링은 사람의 인지를 돕기 위해, 즉 의미 전달의 효율을 높이기 위한 수단으로 단순화 기법을 사용한다. 이러한 카툰 효과를 위해 원 사물을 작가의 의도에 맞게 외부 표면과 외곽선의 색과 형태를 단순화 또는 생략 시키는 과정이 필요하다. 이렇듯 단순화와 생략이 생명인 카툰 렌더링의 기본 원칙은, 모델링에서, 특히 게임에서 적극적으로 사용하고 있는 Level of Detail(LOD) 기법과 일맥상통하는 공통점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구는 DirectX의 Shader프로그램을 이용한 GPU기반의 카툰렌더링 효과를 LOD를 통하여 외형에도 적용한 카툰 효과를 표현 한다.

  • 사람의 의식과 뇌 구조는 복잡계 현상을 가지고 있다고 알려져 있다. 이들은 사람의 감정과 관련이 있다. 사람의 감정은 다양한 종류가 있으며 그 중 하나인 사랑은 사회학과 심리학에서 주된 관심사의 하나로 연구되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 로미오와 줄리엣의 사랑 방정식에서 동일한 시간 지연과 서로 다른 지연 시간을 고려하여 이들 사이의 사랑 거동을 시계열과 위상 공간으로 나타내고 이들 사이의 차이를 분석하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze on the fashion collection of Hussein Chalayan who has changed the concept of fashion design in the 21st century and has pioneered in the new vision of fashion. This study will give a new perspective and perception of fashion as a conceptual and ideological art. The conclusions of this study are as follows. First, Hussein Chalayan's multicultural ideas and interdisciplinary approaches which based in national speciality are the unique elements in his works. Second, Hussein Chalayan intends to present his works as an expression of conception. He has expressed the clothes which speaks the form of nature, symbolizes the combination of culture, visualizes time and space and investigates the existence of human being. Third, Hussein Chalayan has asked an endless question about existence of the human being. Furthermore, He has put a question about the relationship between time, space, history, nature and the human being. His trial to visualize the metaphysical conception of 'ego' and 'self' through his works of art makes him as the designer who represents the 21st century. Forth, Hussein Chalayan pursues the communication between the human being and the world. His works is made for human being and makes the human life as valuable thing. Because the clothes is completed when the human wears it, it can not exist without the relationship of human being. Fifth, Hussein Chalayan makes a various attempt to combine with different artistic field. Fashion has developed to new direction with diverse trial and combination beyond fashion field and this has to be a direction in the 21st century fashion. Fashion is not just making clothes, but accepting and delivering the history and culture, expressing and communicating empathy, and combining the different fields harmoniously.

  • The purposed of this study is to analyze the performance-art facilities. Research methods were reference study (interaction, local performance-art facilities) and research on the actual condition (on 4 local performance-art facilities for field investigation). Consequently emotional interractive space design makes people satisfied with their five senses, communication with people increase and enable people to experience something new that they haven't experienced before transcending time and space. Interaction design is designing experience of user through the interaction for human, thing, system, and space. The result of this research is to found out the possibility of emotional interaction design concept applied in public service area as a plan to revitalize the performance-art facilities.
