  • Metaverse provides a simulated environment where a large number of users can participate in various activities. In order for Metaverse to be sustainable, it is necessary to study ethics that can be applied to a Metaverse service platform. In this paper, Metaverse ethics and the rules for applying to the platform are explored. And, in order to judge the ethicality of avatar actions in social Metaverse, the identity, interaction, and relationship of an avatar are investigated. Then, an action-based audit approach to avatar interactions (e.g., dialogues, gestures, facial expressions) is introduced in two cases that an avatar enters a digital world and that an avatar requests the auditing to subjects, e.g., avatars controlled by human users, artificial intelligence (AI) avatars (e.g., as conversational bots), and virtual objects. Pseudocodes for performing the two cases in a system are presented and they are examined based on the description of the avatars' actions.

  • One of the research objectives in the area of multimedia human-computer interaction is the application of artificial intelligence and robotics technologies to the development of computer interfaces. This involves utilizing many forms of media, integrating speed input, natural language, graphics, hand pointing gestures, and other methods for interactive dialogues. Although current human-computer communication methods include computer keyboards, mice, and other traditional devices, the two basic ways by which people communicate with each other are voice and gesture. This paper reports on research focusing on the development of an intelligent multimedia interface system modeled based on the manner in which people communicate. This work explores the interaction between humans and computers based only on the processing of speech(Work uttered by the person) and processing of images(hand pointing gestures). The purpose of the interface is to control a pan/tilt camera to point it to a location specified by the user through utterance of words and pointing of the hand, The systems utilizes another stationary camera to capture images of the users hand and a microphone to capture the users words. Upon processing of the images and sounds, the systems responds by pointing the camera. Initially, the interface uses hand pointing to locate the general position which user is referring to and then the interface uses voice command provided by user to fine-the location, and change the zooming of the camera, if requested. The image of the location is captured by the pan/tilt camera and sent to a color TV monitor to be displayed. This type of system has applications in tele-conferencing and other rmote operations, where the system must respond to users command, in a manner similar to how the user would communicate with another person. The advantage of this approach is the elimination of the traditional input devices that the user must utilize in order to control a pan/tillt camera, replacing them with more "natural" means of interaction. A number of experiments were performed to evaluate the interface system with respect to its accuracy, efficiency, reliability, and limitation.

  • This study explores the relationship between users' attachment styles and their interactions with ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer), an advanced language model developed by OpenAI. As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly integrated into everyday life, it is essential to understand how individuals with different attachment styles engage with AI chatbots in order to build a better user experience that meets specific user needs and interacts with users in the most ideal way. Grounded in attachment theory from psychology, we are exploring the influence of attachment style on users' interaction with ChatGPT, bridging a significant gap in understanding human-AI interaction. Contrary to expectations, attachment styles did not have a significant impact on ChatGPT usage or reasons for engagement. Regardless of their attachment styles, hesitated to fully trust ChatGPT with critical information, emphasizing the need to address trust issues in AI systems. Additionally, this study uncovers complex patterns of attachment styles, demonstrating their influence on interaction patterns between users and ChatGPT. By focusing on the distinctive dynamics between users and ChatGPT, our aim is to uncover how attachment styles influence these interactions, guiding the development of AI chatbots for personalized user experiences. The introduction of the Perceived Partner Responsiveness Scale serves as a valuable tool to evaluate users' perceptions of ChatGPT's role, shedding light on the anthropomorphism of AI. This study contributes to the wider discussion on human-AI relationships, emphasizing the significance of incorporating emotional intelligence into AI systems for a user-centered future.

Next-generation chatbots, including models like ChatGPT, are emerging in the field of education. These advanced tools show great potential for delivering personalized and adaptive learning experiences. This paper reviews previous research on adaptive learning and the role of chatbots in education. Based on this, the paper explores current and future chatbot technologies to propose a framework for using ChatGPT or similar chatbots in adaptive learning. The framework includes personalized design, targeted resources and feedback, multi-turn dialogue models, reinforcement learning, and fine-tuning. The proposed framework also considers learning attributes such as age, gender, cognitive ability, prior knowledge, pacing, level of questions, interaction strategies, and learner control. However, the proposed framework has yet to be evaluated for its usability or effectiveness in practice, and the applicability of the framework may vary depending on the specific field of study. Through proposing this framework, we hope to encourage learners to more actively leverage current technologies, and likewise, inspire educators to integrate these technologies more proactively into their curricula. Future research should evaluate the proposed framework through actual implementation and explore how it can be adapted to different domains of study to provide a more comprehensive understanding of its potential applications in adaptive learning.

  • Nowadays blogging is emerging as a new way of building human-to-human relationship by offering personal information and sharing opinions with others on their own initiatives. These blogging activities would be also useful when people are in a movement surrounding lots of objects, such as products and shops, which are potentially interesting to them. However, immediate response from the objects is not available using legacy blogging systems. This is mainly due to the segregation of the blogging content owners from the objects. This paper, hence, aims to propose a methodology which allows the users to directly communicate with the objects in a timely and context-aware manner, not the object owners, to get useful information or get served immediately. To do so, the concept of artificial bloggers which work on behalf of the objects and eventually the object owners is proposed. The functionalities of u-Blogging are also introduced with prototype system.
