This study looks into the usage pattern in online games based on genres and socio-demographic characteristics. Compared to the prior studies that adopted survey as their main research method, this study has analyzed the actual data of game login records and adopted parametric modeling and mathematical approach. In terms of the socio-demographic characteristics, the following facts were confirmed: men > women by gender, students > white-collars > housewives > blue-collars > self-employed > jobless(etc.) by occupation, college graduates > K-12 students > high-school graduates > undergrads & grads by academic background, 3∼5 million > 1∼3 million > over 5 million > less than 1 million by income levels, and not married > married by marital status. In terms of genres, the population of the players is in the order of web board games, RPG, action/racing/shooting, and sports. The RPG game is confirmed to have a higher level of MCR (Max Concurrent User Ratio) than any other genres. On the other hand, the hypothesis on the difference in Repeated Use Ratio according to genres is rejected. This study has also confirmed that interactions exist between gender and age; genre and gender; genre and age among online game users, and conducted post-hoc analysis about those interactions.
The purpose of this study is to analyse and interpret the way of differentiated expression and changing creative trend following 5-day workweek which has been recently adopted. For this aim 11 pieces of distinctive advertising text were analysed. The criteria for selection of analysing text were relativeness with 5-day workweek and cognitive inconsistency. These texts were negative phrases, exaggerated expression, and excessively humorous appeals. The study revealed the followings: First, 5-day workweek concerned advertising texts were considered as high attention getting and successful in stimulating advertising audiences' curiosity by using the elements opposing the value and belief system formed in the existing audience. Second, consumption-driving lifestyle was found in most expressions for credit cards advertising. Third, hedonic need-oriented lifestyle was typical in young consumer products category. Fourth, family centered lifestyle emphasized meaning of rest and solidarity of family.
In an attempt to teace trands in fashion journalism based on the examination of recent fashion magazines in korea, this study has dealt with the followings: the number of articles on fashion, image of fashion, characteristics of articles, change in "coordinate" and titles, and length of time of publication. The results of this study follow: 1. Among the general magazines for ladies whose titles have been changed, those dedicated to the "Ms class" have increased the pages on fashion and coverage of casual brand: those for housewives have shown no change in contents despite the change in titles, 2. The length of time of publication does not affect the change in the number of articles on fashion. General magazines for ladies have shown the greater "coordinate" in articles on fashion. 3. In terms of the contents of articles on fashion, those devoted to fashion and clothing are specialized and innovation-oriented, whereas general magaines stress the provision of more practical information. 4. Compared to the traditional rearing system, joint infant-rearing is not only operated by the residents with the dues paid by the union members but also makes children experience the life force of natu"e in themselves. So the preparation of the standard of the suitable environment design for the joint infant-rearing is required which is diffrent from the traditional standard of the environmertal facilities for the traditional rearing system. The concept of joint infant-rearing was defind in this study through the reference and the ooncept of infant edJcation which is in operation suocessfully in Italy and Sweden in order to understand how the ooncept of infant education has changed as the ages have dlanged. And the basic principals for the formation of physical envirorvnert and the spare design and the envirorYnertal oondition for the practical environmental design was also studied through the reference. And after study about the concept. figure and physical environmental suggestion, the concept, standard and element of joint infant-rearing environment design was suggested. And as the final conclusion, the design requirement of the envirorvnertal design for the joint infant-rearing was suggested.
Our team carried out a new program for public engagement on nanotechnology in Korea. We chose 22 monitors, who majored in science or technology and graduated from universities long time ago. Most of them were married and housewives. This 'focus group' had not only general knowledge about science or technology but also much interest in social activities. The 167 nanoproducts to be monitored were for daily life, e.g. home appliances (washing machine, refrigerator, water purifier, etc), clothing, cosmetics, food, toy, and others. And the period of it was one month. The monitors had a sheet with 10 questions, and filled them out in essay form. All of them submitted 2~3 sheets every weekend to our team. Before monitoring, our team had a meeting for introduction and explanation about the potential risk of nanotechnology as well as benefits from it. Another meeting was held after finishing monitoring to share their experience one another. The main results of the monitoring were as follows: the number of nanoproducts describing both the definition of 'nano' and the size of nanomaterials was just 2 (1.2%) the number of them explaining the technical methods enough was 15 (9/0%) the number of them accounting for the reason of functional improvement enough was 14(8.4%); the number of them doubtful as if there would be exaggeration or false knowledge was 27 (16.2%); the number of them commenting potential hazards to human health or environment was almost zero; the number of them describing about safety certification acceptable was 9 (5.4%). The monitors made a proposal containing recommendation to Government and industry. The contents were as follows: industry should make the manual in detail and correctly, Describe Certificate detailed and correctly, Do research on risk and toxicity continually, Educate employee about nanoproducts at consumer's center; Government should make indication of nanoproducts compulsory, Appoint Certificate Authority and make Certificate Mark guaranteeing the safety on nanoproducts, Make detailed explanation about nanoproducts compulsory.
The purpose of this paper is to determine the percentage of body fat by measurement of skin-fold thickness of the triceps and the subscapular area to investigate the relationship between the daily energy intake and expenditure among obese women and nonobese women based on the percentage of body fat and age. This survey included 422 females in Cheju. 1) The age distribution of the 422 females surveyed was : 26.8% were in their 20's, 20.6% in their 30's, 21.3% in their 40's, 19.0% in their 50's and 12.3% were above 60 years of age. The 422 females consisted consisted of 78% housewives, 12.8% college student and 9.2% single working women. 2) The average height and weight of the surveyed women were respecitively 159.0$\pm$4.2cm and 56.0$\pm$7.2kg, the percentage of body fat of the surveyed women was 24.8$\pm$9.8%, and the BMI of those surveyed was 22.7$\pm$2.7. If higher than 30% body fat was defined as being obese, 15.6% of the surveyed women were assessed to be obese. 3) Total daily food consumption and energy intake of the group of women aged 60 and older was significantly small. Food consumption and nutrient intake of obese women was greater than that of the nonobese group, but not significant. Carbohydrate intake of the obese group in their 40's was significantly higher than the nonobese group. Total food consumption, energy and carbohydrate intake of the obese group in their 50's was significantly higher than the nonobese group. Vegetable intake of the obese group in their 60's and older was significantly higher than the nonobese group. 4) The total time of physiological activity of women aged 60 and older was significantly higher than for the other age groups and the total work time was significantly lower. The total work time of women in their 20's was not lower than the other groups. Considering the low energy expenditure of physical activity for women in their 20's, they appeared to have light activity. However, there was not a significant difference in the physical activity time among middle aged women groups(from 30 to 50). The entire energy expenditure of the obese group was greater than the nonobese group. However, the energy expenditure per body weight in the obese group was significantly less than that of the nonobese group in terms of the basal metabolic rate in consideration of the fat free mass. 5) There was a positive correlation between the percentage of body fat and the factors of age, sleeping time, total time of physiological activity, housework time, time spent watching TV, energy expenditure, energy intake, carbohydrate and cereal consumption. On the other hand, the percentage of body fat was negatively correlated with energy expenditure per body weight based on the basal metabolic rate in consideration of the free mass.
This study is conducted to verify existing differences in consumer attitude according to distributor type and PB product type. Pre-test was conducted for this study in order to select the distributor and to classify the product type, FGI was conducted with 10 graduate students of K university in Kyong-gi. This study survey housewives, office workers, and university students excluding the participants in the pre-test. In the final analysis, research hypothesis is verified through the data of 280 answers in Korea. This research is conducted with a factor design of 3 types of distributors -department store, discount store, convenience store-and 2 types of product -utilitarian product, hedonic product. To verify the hypotheses, ANOVA is carried out. Reliability test of each measurement variables, Cronbach α coefficient is used. For each analysis, SPSS Windows 15.0 statistical program is used. The findings suggest that First, according to the size and characteristics, distributors are classified into department stores, discount stores, and convenience stores and it is verified whether if there are differences in consumers' attitude (product attitude, brand attitude and purchase intention) by the effect of different distributors. Results showed that product attitude is statistically significant. Second, product type is classified by two categories according to whether the product seeks for practicality or emotional pleasure - Utilitarian product and Hedonic product. In this context, the result after verifying whether if there is difference in the attitudes -product attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intention - in accordance with the product types is shown that utilitarian products makes bigger difference compared to hedonic products. Third, it is confirmed that there is interaction effect between product attitude and purchase intention according to the distributer type and product type. However, we find that in terms of brand attitude, there is no interaction effect. The implications of this research is as the following. First, we propose the need of PB product development and marketing strategy, which considers the product types in accordance with the scale and features of each distributor. Second, PB products should break away from the simplicity of standardized products and consider the different features of distributors. Distributors will be in need of a strategy to build a compelling brand that can differentiate itself from other distributors. This will contribute to the improvement in reliability and formation of product value.
This study is important in its focus to find key clues in the marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and communication processes that define the infantile obesity market. The study, the first of its kind, surveyed a target audience, purchasing group, and housewives in their quest to determine purchasing decisions and effective branding strategy planning for the infantile obesity market. Another key component of the study was to focus on the key direct and/or indirect distribution channels for the subject market. Recently, obesity has emerged as a major social concern; some studies show that the onslaught of an adverse eating culture in Korea emanates from the prevalence of fast-food dining establishments. Obesity among children leads to adult obesity, especially if the young people's parents are overweight; notably, if either one or both of the parents are obese, the percentage of young people eventually being obese is approximately 80 to 85 percent. Because obesity is the cause of many major health concerns later in life, the struggle for a healthy life is considerably adversely affected by parents' consumer behavior. Infantile obesity, resulting in adult obesity, is also an important national economic and social issue. The sizable direct and indirect economic costs, as well as the tremendous social costs of obesity, cannot be overstated. Effective food branding and advertising centered on food preferences and dietary behaviors, especially to children, creates an effective marketing effort that, ultimately, leads to positive results. Thus, the purpose of this study is to demonstrate that the treatment of childhood obesity in Korea, through the activation of a brand and retail market, can effectively solve social and economic problems that result from infantile and childhood obesity. In this study, obesity markets and distribution channels in the purchase decision-making factors determining factor based on it effective inspection and branding strategies and brand marketing communications strategy proposed measures contribute to the obesity drug market and further enable the childhood obesity problem is intended to assist in solving.

Emotional labor is the process of regulating feelings or emotions and expressing them in the way that fulfill job requirement. There have been many studies about characteristics or related variables of service workers' emotional labor, but are few studies comparing emotional labor between service workers and non-service workers. Therefore we are to examine the differences of emotional labor among the different types of workers. And as depression and lowered quality of life are well known negative consequences of emotional labor, we also intend to study the relationship between depression, quality of life, and emotional labor. Data were collected from 125 sales workers, and 186 cyber university full time students. And as to assure the student participants to be non-service workers, we limited the participant job as administrator, soldier or housewife. To compare differences of groups, one-way ANOVA was performed with Fisher's LSD as post hoc comparison. On overload in customer reception, service workers showed significantly higher scores, and on demand of emotional regulation/emotional dissonance/depression, both service workers and housewives showed significantly higher scores. Also analysis of multiple regression was performed, and the result showed that, emotional dissonance increased depression but decreased quality of life, while support/care increased quality of life, but decreased depression. With the result, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
