This study was conducted to assess exposure to musculoskeletal disorders risk factors in the cooking & housekeeping jobs in hotel work. PATH (posture, activity, tools and handling) method was used for data collection at the 6 hotel settings in different regions across Korea. From 26 workers, a total of 949 PATH observations were obtained. The highest percent time on non-neutral posture was 78% for pinch grip, followed by 74%(wrist deviation), 52%(trunk posture), 37%(shoulder/arm posture), and 30%(neck posture). The highest percent time in the three HAL variables was 47% for HAL-cat2. The percent time of items in relation to both loads with more than 5kg and contact stress was less than 2%. The hotel workers were not exposed to vibration.

In 2015, Bacillus paralicheniformis was separated from B. licheniformis on the basis of phylogenomic and phylogenetic studies, and urease activity was reported as a phenotypic property that differentiates between the two species. Subsequently, we have found that the urease activity of B. paralicheniformis is strain-specific, and does not reliably discriminate between species, as strains having the same urease gene cluster were identified in B. licheniformis and B. sonorensis, the closest relatives of B. paralicheniformis. We developed a multilocus sequence typing scheme using eight housekeeping genes, adk, ccpA, glpF, gmk, ilvD, pur, spo0A, and tpi to clearly identify B. paralicheniformis from closely related Bacillus species and to find a molecular marker for the rapid identification of B. paralicheniformis. The scheme differentiated 33 B. paralicheniformis strains from 90 strains formerly identified as B. licheniformis. Among the eight housekeeping genes, spo0A possesses appropriate polymorphic sites for the design of a B. paralichenofomis-specific PCR primer set. The primer set designed in this study perfectly separated B. paralicheniformis from B. licheniformis and B. sonorensis.

Promoter는 transcript start site 앞부분에 위치하여 RNA polymerase가 높은 친화성을 보이며 바인당하는 DNA상의 특별한 부위로서 여기서부터 DNA transcription이 시작된다. function이나 tissue-specific gene들의 그룹별로 그 promoter들의 특이한 패턴들의 조합을 발견함으로써 Specific한 transcription을 조절하는 것으로 알려져 있어 promoter로 인한 그 gene의 정보를 어느 정도 알 수가 있다. 사람의 housekeeping gene promoter들을 EPD(eukaryotic promoter database)와 EMBL nucleic acid sequence database로부터 수집하여 이것들 간에 의미 있게 나타나는 모든 패턴들을 optimization algorithm으로 알려진 genetic algorithm을 이용해서 찾아보았다.

This article is the basic study to develop computer software for the household financial management that can manage household effectively. For this study 5 housekeeping books and 9 computer softwares were analyzed and compared. Additionally financial bookeeping behavior and household financial satisfaction-related variables were investigated through questionnaire. The subjects were 284 housewives who live in Seoul and the method that was used to analyze the data were frequency 2 multiple regression analysis.

Japanese/Korean Amynthas carnosus (Goto & Hatai, 1899) is redescribed from a newly designated Neotype (Tokyo NSMT An435). An annotated synonymy is presented that nominally includes: kyamikia Kobayashi, 1934, monstrifera Kobayashi, 1936, sangyeoli, youngtai, kimhaeiensis, sinsiensis and baemsagolensis - all Korean names by Hong & James, 2001, and Taiwanese monsoonus James et al., 2005. However, Chinese A. pingi (Stephenson 1925) (syn. fornicata Gates, 1935) is maintained separately, at least for the present, until its comprehensive review, possibly extending to DNA barcode differentiation.

There has been accumulating evidence for the association of inflammatory tissue damage with the process of cancer development. Cyclooxygenase (COX), an important enzyme involved in mediating the inflammation, catalyzes the formation of prostaglandins (PGs) from arachidonic acid. There are two isoforms of COX, designated as COX-l and COX-2. COX-l is a housekeeping enzyme which is constitutively expressed and is thought to be involved in maintaining physiological functions.(omitted)

This study attempts, based on the premise that gender roles and identity is a social construct, to show how TV portrayal of the male has changed through the years with changes in time and society, from the traditional depiction of hegemonic masculinity and ideal manhood as supported by the patriarchal system. A narrative analysis was conducted on popular variety shows "Dad, Where Are We Going?" and "Superman Returns". The results showed that both TV shows created a new type of masculinity by centering the narrative on the traditionally female roles of child rearing and housekeeping, and recreating the traditional strict and authoritative father figure into a non-authoritative and emotionally expressive father. However, as 'child rearing' and 'housekeeping' is expressed as 'play', there are limitations in that the actual daily lives and hardship of women is excluded from the narrative.

An Apartment Veranda is a transitive space which is being used for many different purpose. A Rear Veranda which is connected to the kitchen is an important space for the housekeeping work and it should be planned carefully to reflect the rational and functional designs. Therefore the objective of this research is to suggest a systematic basis for the practical space planning of the Rear veranda that meets the varied needs of consumers by examining its usage pattern through the analysis of the apartment occupant's behavior pattern stored item the degree of satisfaction and consumer requirements. The research was conducted mainly on apartments built after 1990. The following are the conclusions from the research : 1. Most of the research respondents were aware of the absolute need for the Rear veranda. But they expressed dissatisfaction with the space usage. This indicates that the Rear Veranda planning does not reflect the functionality of the space and concentrates on the idea of providing consumers a service space based on the size of the apartment instead. 2. Although the Rear veranda is used as the multipurpose housework space it is mainly used as the laundry and storage space. This shows a big deviation from the concept of the utility space. Because the behavior pattern associated with the Rear Veranda is largely influenced by the traditional life pattern the development of the Rear Veranda as an exclusive space for the housekeeping work. 3. According to a high frequency of the storage of the laundry related item in the Rear Veranda indicated by the research the Rear veranda is used as the laundry room as well as a auxiliary storage space by most people. The installation of gas range is expected to increase due to the expansion of the usage function of the Rear Veranda space. The installation of a specialized refrigerator to store the traditional food is demanded. 4. Consumers need more efficient and functional storage device because the temporary shelves are often being used as the storage device. The perception of the storage device is assumed to have been influence by the traditional life style.
