Performance Comparison on Speech Codecs for Digital Watermarking Applications

  • Using intelligent information contained within the speech to identify the specific hidden data in the watermarked multimedia data is considered to be an efficient method to achieve the speech digital watermarking. This paper presents the performance comparison between various types of speech codec in order to determine an appropriate one to be used in digital watermarking applications. In the experiments, the speech signal encoded by four different types of speech codec, namely CELP, GSM, SBC and G.723.1codecs is embedded into a grayscale image, and theirs performance in term of speech recognition are compared. The method for embedding the speech signal into the host data is borrowed from a watermarking method based on the zerotrees of wavelet packet coefficients. To evaluate efficiency of the speech codec used in watermarking applications, the speech signal after being extracted from the attacked watermarked image will be played back to the listeners, and then be justified whether its content is intelligible or not.

DCT영역에 기반한 반복적 이진위상컴퓨터형성홀로그램을 이용한 디지털 영상 워터마킹 기술

  • 본 논문에서는 DCT영역에서 반복적 이진위상컴퓨터형성홀로그램을 이용한 디지털 영상 워터마킹 기술을 제안하였다. 워터마크로 주로 사용되는 랜덤 시퀸스 또는 로고와 같은 은닉영상 대신 은닉영상을 손실없이 재생할 수 있는 이진위상컴퓨터형성홀로그램을 생성하고, 이를 반복적으로 표현해서 워터마크로 사용한다. 그리고 이 워터마크를 호스트영상의 DCT 계수에 적절한 규칙을 통해 가중치를 부여하여 삽입한 후, IDCT한다. 워터마크의 추출은 워터마킹된 영상과 호스트영상을 DCT하고, 삽입시 적용한 규칙을 통해서 수행한다. 그리고 추출된 워터마크의 역푸리에 변환과 호스트영상에 삽입하기전의 워터마크를 역푸리에 변환하여 재생한 은닉영상과의 상관을 취함으로써 워터마크의 존재여부를 검증한다. 제안한 방법은 워터마크 삽입/추출시 반복되는 홀로그램정보를 활용하고, 이진 값으로 구성되어 있으므로 기존의 어떠한 워터마킹 기술보다 외부 공격에 견실한 특징을 가지고 있으며, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 성능을 확인하였다.

  • This paper introduces a PC-based image data processing unit that is composed of preprocessor board and main processor board; The preprocessor contains Inmos A110 processor and efficient H/W architecture for fast mask/logic operations at the speed of video signal rate. It is controlled by the main processor which communicates with the host PC. The main processor board contains TI TMS320C31 digital signal processor, and can access the frame memory of the processor for extra S/W tasks. We test 3*3, 5*5 masks and logic operations on 386/486/DSP and compare the result with that of the proposed unit. The result shows ours are extremely faster than conventional CPU based approach, that is, over several hundred times faster than even DSP.

  • The integration of deburring robots into product quality and productivity impact the industrial. In this paper the intelligent system of robotic deburring is proposed integrated with robot system, image processing system, force sensor system and host PC. The size, position, recognition of burr is determined by the information that the image processing system processed. The feed velocity of cutting tool is controlled by the information that the force sensor system processed. The integration of these information can remove the uncertainty of the information of deburring on the cutting path. The result of these technologies is useful for the development of the factory automation and automatic inspection equipments.

  • In this paper, we has been studied self controlled mobile robot system with CCD camera. This system consists of TMS320F240 digital signal processor, step motor, RF module and CCD camera. 2-axis compass and magnetic sensor, we used wireless RF module for movable command transmiting between robot and host PC. This robot go straight until 95 percent filled screen with white color both side from input image. And the robot recognizes obstacle about 95 percent filled something, so it could turn for avoid the obstacle and conclude new path plan. it could get turning angle from 2-axis compass and magnetic sensor.

  • The stereoscopic vision robot system design with DSP processor is presented. The vision system is consists of control system, vision system and host computer. The vision system is based on 32bits DSP processor. The stereoscopic image processing applies the correlation coefficient method to execute the software. The result of experiment, image recognition rate is 95% on the stereoscopic vision robot system.

  • For a message hiding technique to be effectual, it needs to have availability, confidentiality and integrity. Steganography is the science of hiding one message within other types of digital contents. In this case, attempt to defeat steganalysis by restoring the statistics of the composite image to resemble that of the cover, these discrepancies expose the fact that hidden communication is happening. In this paper, I present a steganography scheme capable of concealing a piece of secrete information in a host image and base on the technique's OCT, RGB, statistical restoration.

  • In this study, we explain the process and the technique required for implementing web-based remote control system based on embedded processor, SAl110, and embedded Linux. At first. cross-compile environment for target system should be constructed on host computer, and bootloader in charge of Linux booting may be loaded on the target system. Then, kernel image is compiled and loaded on the target system. Embedded Linux porting process is completed when ram disk image is generated. Finally, we load wed-server and device driver on the ram disk and make web-page for remote control using CGI. Through the above process, we implement web-based remote control system and present the result.

An Image Watermarking Scheme by Image Fusion in the Wavelet Domain (웨이블릿영역에서 영상융합에 의한 영상 워터마킹 기법)

  • In this paper, the 1-level DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) coefficients of a binary logo image are used as the watermark. The watermark should be inserted in the same band which is equivalent to the host image when the watermark is inserted in the wavelet domain. This is the image fusion of the proposed watermarking method. The watermark is inserted in relatively significant coefficients after the insertion area is defined. The more significant coefficients have the important information because they are identified as the edge and major surface in images. The significant coefficients are defined when their absolute value exceeds the threshold. The standard deviation is used as the weight value of watermark insertion in order to strengthen the weight of the watermark insertion according to the value of the coefficients. The proposed watermarking method is an adaptive scheme, and the proposed two detection algorithms can be adaptively used when the watermarked image is distorted by cropping, filtering, or compression.
