  • The purpose of this study was to model the relations between male and female university students' self-differentiation, rejection sensitivity, and interpersonal anxiety. Questionnaires from 502 university students in Seoul were analysed. The findings are as follows. Firstly, self-differentiation, rejection sensitivity, and interpersonal anxiety were significantly different according to gender. Secondly, the level of differentiation from family regression was higher for both male and female students. And the lower the rejection sensitivity experiencing in vertical relations became, and the lower the rejection sensitivity on horizontal relations was, the lower the interpersonal anxiety became. Thirdly, it was confirmed that for male students, differentiation from family regression affected rejection sensitivity on horizontal relations, and for females, differentiation from emotional reactivity affected ejection sensitivity on both horizontal and vertical relations. Finally, rejection sensitivity played a full mediation parameter when self-differentiation affected interpersonal anxiety, and it was demonstrated differences by gender. This study was meaningful in that it confirmed the relations between male and female university students' self-differentiation, rejection sensitivity, and interpersonal anxiety.

  • The strong ground motion data recorded in the Sino-Korea Craton are analysed toobtain attenuation relations valid for 5 < M < 8, r < 400 km applicable to the Korean Peninsula. The result is logA : -1.83+0.386M- log${\gamma}$-0.0015${\gamma}$ where A is peak horizontal acceleration in g, M is surface-wave magnitude, and r is hypocentral distance in km. Our result is compared with the existing attenuation relations of Western North America and Eastern North America and the prior predictive equations for the Southern part of Korean Peninsula. Our result compares better with those of North America than those of the Southern part of the Korean Peninsula. More theoretical and empirical studies are required for better attenuation relations appropriate for the Korean Peninsula.

  • The purpose of this study is to reform the productive industrial relations in hospital. Because the industrial relations of hospital is antagonistic each other and this problem cause a low productivity. In Korea, hospitals maintain their ownership structure, strategy is controlled by government, short process of management, and culture of grade. The executive of hospital doesn't gain the confidence of union. This circumstances is related with the antagonistic industrial relations. This research is to analyze hospital management system through experiential and literature study, and is to present a reform strategies for cooperative industrial relations of improving productivity in hospital. As a results, if the hospital manager hopes to improve productivity, they should introduce expert management system rather than ownership and management system. And it is need to execute the hospital initiative strategy rather than to depend on the government. Moreover, the hospital can achieve productive industrial relations as a middle-long term visions in management process and horizontal organization culture. Although this study is limited by literature research, it will contribute to settle productive industrial relations in hospital and to accomplish the additional study.

  • Main objective of the present paper is to establish Chen inequalities for slant Riemannian submersions in contact geometry. In this manner, we give some examples for slant Riemannian submersions and also investigate some curvature relations between the total space, the base space and fibers. Moreover, we establish Chen-Ricci inequalities on the vertical and the horizontal distributions for slant Riemannian submersions from Sasakian space forms.

  • In this article, we study the relations of horizontally conformal maps and harmonic morphisms with the stability of minimal fibers. Let ${\varphi}:(M^n,g){\rightarrow}(N^m,h)$ be a horizontally conformal submersion. There is a tensor T measuring minimality or totally geodesics of fibers of ${\varphi}$. We prove that if T is parallel and the horizontal distribution is integrable, then any minimal fiber of ${\varphi}$ is volume-stable. As a corollary, we obtain that any fiber of a submersive harmonic morphism whose fibers are totally geodesics and the horizontal distribution is integrable is volume-stable. As a consequence, we obtain if ${\varphi}:(M^n,g){\rightarrow}(N^2,h)$ is a submersive harmonic morphism of minimal fibers from a compact Riemannian manifold M into a surface N, T is parallel and the horizontal distribution is integrable, then ${\varphi}$ is energy-stable.

  • We present a set of fiducial sequences of horizontal-branch stars in bright Galactic globular clusters, which have previously been observed in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). We derive fiducial lines on color-magnitude diagrams in multiple color indices (g - r, g - i, g - z, and u - g), after rejecting foreground and background objects as well as RR Lyrae variables utilizing these color indices. We compare our fiducial sequences with model predictions from Yonsei-Yale evolutionary tracks and BaSel spectral libraries, and find a satisfactory agreement between them in terms of their color-magnitude relations, except in u - g. We also compare theoretical models to color-magnitude diagrams of two open clusters (M67 and NGC 6791). Based on our best available cluster distance and reddening, we find that the mass of red clump (RC) stars in NGC 6791 is about a factor of two smaller than an earlier estimate from the application of asteroseismic scaling relations for solar-like oscillations. The smaller RC mass implies an enhanced mass loss along the red giant branch, which is in accordance with other compelling evidences found in this metal-rich system. Our estimated luminosity of RC stars in NGC 6791 is about 0.2 mag fainter than in earlier investigations based on solar-metallicity calibrations, and results in ~10% reduction in the RC-based distance estimation, when applied to metal-rich systems such as in the Galactic bulge.

  • In a seismic design, a structural demand by an earthquake load is determined by design response spectra. The ground motion is a three-dimensional movement; therefore, the design response spectra in each direction need to be assigned. However, in most design codes, an identical design response spectrum is used in two horizontal directions. Unlike these design criteria, a realistic seismic input motion should be applied for a seismic evaluation of structures. In this study, the definition of horizontal spectral acceleration representing the two-horizontal spectral acceleration is reviewed. Based on these methodologies, the horizontal responses of observed ground motions are calculated. The data used in the analysis are recorded accelerograms at the stations near the epicenters of recent earthquakes which are the 2007 Odeasan earthquake, 2016 Gyeongju earthquake, and 2017 Pohang earthquake. Geometric mean-based horizontal response spectra and maximum directional response spectrum are evaluated and their differences are compared over the period range. Statistical representation of the relations between geometric mean and maximum directional spectral acceleration for horizontal direction and spectral acceleration for vertical direction are also evaluated. Finally, discussions and suggestions to consider these different two horizontal directional spectral accelerations in the seismic performance evaluation are presented.

  • This paper attempts to find a desirable way to effectively integrate the roles of the central government of Korea and the Seoul Metropolitan Government in terms of e-government environments. Electronic intergovernmental relations(e-IGR) are analyzed from the multiple perspectives such as technological, institutional, and behavioral aspect. Among these. this paper found that the behavioral aspect deserves more academic and policy interests. Both the horizontal and vertical integration among departments and agencies will enable the e-government to serve people better.

  • In this paper, dynamic response of the horizontal nanofiber reinforced polymer (NFRP) strengthened concrete beam subjected to seismic ground excitation is investigated. The concrete beam is modeled using hyperbolic shear deformation beam theory (HSDBT) and the mathematical formulation is applied to determine the governing equations of the structure. Distribution type and agglomeration effects of carbon nanofibers are considered by Mori-Tanaka model. Using the nonlinear strain-displacement relations, stress-strain relations and Hamilton's principle (virtual work method), the governing equations are derived. To obtain the dynamic response of the structure, harmonic differential quadrature method (HDQM) along with Newmark method is applied. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of NFRP layer, geometrical parameters of beam, volume fraction and agglomeration of nanofibers and boundary conditions on the dynamic response of the structure. The results indicated that applied NFRP layer decreases the maximum dynamic displacement of the structure up to 91 percent. In addition, using nanofibers as reinforcement leads a 35 percent reduction in the maximum dynamic displacement of the structure.

  • Many investigations have been carried out concerning tillage tool performance, including energy requirement . Since the performance of tillage could also be evaluated through the change of soil , then it is necessary to investigate the soil cutting process and the pattern of soil failure. This study was conducted using indoor soil bin, STILT (Soil Tillage Tool Interaction) system. The result shows that the soil bin experiments could provide the clear understandings about phenomena of soil failure. The movement of sil , the successive failures was clearly visualized. The relations between the horizontal and vertical forces to the linear motion blade, the shear force on the shear plane which devides soil layer into several segments were indicated by the fluctuation/vibration of the recorded resistance and forces. The results show that the horizontal force(Fx) and vertical force (Fz) develope their frequencies as the change of velocity of blade (10, 20, 40 mm/sec) for each cutting angle (35, 45, 60 degrees). Resultant force of Fx and Fz are much influenced by the cutting angle.
