The SPICA (SPace Infrared Telescope for Cosmology & Astrophysics) project is a next-generation astronomical mission optimized for mid- and far-infrared observation with a cryogenically cooled 3m-class telescope. Due to its high angular resolution and unprecedented sensitivity, SPICA will enable us to resolve many key issues from the star-formation history of the universe to the planetary formation. As an international collaboration, KASI proposed the near-infrared instrument which is composed of two parts; (1) science observation with the capability of imaging and spectroscopy covering $0.7{\mu}m$ to $5{\mu}m$ (FPC-S) (2) fine guiding to stabilize and improve the attitude (FPC-G). Here, we present the current status of SPICA/FPC.

The purposes of this study were to examine the characteristics of elements composing the cultural identity of Chinese architectural and spatial design, and to analyze the expression characteristics and influencing factors of contemporary restaurant design. With these purposes, first, this study reviewed related literature in order to find the characteristics of tangible elements observed in intangible elements and space expression characteristics forming the cultural identity of China. Second, this study conducted a case study in order to understand the expression characteristics of the design of Chinese restaurants in Shanghai and to find factors influencing the design. In order to sample the subjects of the case study, the researcher selected 18 restaurants that were recommended repeatedly in books on Chinese restaurants and tourism and major Internet sites or highly evaluated by visitors, and then choose 15 of them that were found to be fit for the purpose of the survey. According to the result of the survey, the restaurants were largely grouped by type into 10 cases of fine dining, 3 of middle-class casual dining, 1 of fast food, and 1 of luxury tea house serving traditional tea and snacks. Of these restaurants, 46.7% (7 cases) were of CM-CM-CM type, namely, using contemporary simple elements in all of external spaces, indoor spaces, and decorations, 20% (3 cases) were of CM-CM-CT type, using contemporary and simple external and indoor spaces, and traditional furniture or articles, 20% (3 cases) were of CT-CM-CT type, using traditional external spaces such as traditional buildings, contemporary simple finishing of indoor spaces, and traditional articles such as palace lanterns and traditional doors and windows, and 13.3% (2 cases) were of CT-CT-CT type, using traditional elements in their original forms in general. Through this research and survey, cultural identity showing Chinese traditions observed in the expression characteristics of restaurant spatial designs was confirmed, and it was also found that the identity was underlain by ideologies, values, lifestyles, etc. that had long accumulated through the long history of the country and exerted a great influence.

창의력이나 문제해결력과 같은 고차원적인 사고 능력은 주어진 문제의 정 오답만으로는 진단이 어려우며, 진단을 위해서는 교수자가 학습자의 문제 해결 과정을 지켜보거나 해결 과정에 대한 학습자의 보고 과정이 요구된다. 더구나 교수자의 학습자에 대한 관찰이 불가능한 온라인 학습이나 버추얼 클래스와 같은 환경에서는 학습자의 문제 해결 과정을 평가하거나 학습자 스스로 자신의 부족한 부분을 진단하는 것은 더욱 어려워진다. 이러한 문제를 해결하는 최선의 방법은 학습자가 문제를 해결하는 동안을 추적하여 그 과정을 보고해 주는 것이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 MS 오피스군의 소프트웨어를 활용하여 주어진 문제를 해결하는 동안 학습자의 작업 내역을 트레이싱하여 최종적으로 학습자에게 자신의 부족한 부분을 진단해 주고 자신의 능숙도와 소프트웨어를 응용하여 주어진 문제를 해결하는 과정에 대한 평가를 해주는 모듈을 개발하였으며, 본 진단 모듈의 효용성 평가를 위하여 실제 MOS 시험을 준비하는 학습자 81명에 대한 적용 및 만족도 조사를 통하여 통계적으로도 유의미한 효과가 있음을 확인하였다.

Renal dysfunction is a common complication of open-heart surgery: a form of controlled hemorrhagic shock, and successful perioperative management of renal dysfunction depends on recognition of the risk factors and optimal management of factors influencing renal function, including cardiopulmonary bypass, and early detection of renal failure. Changes in renal functional parameters including Ccr, Cosm, CH2O, FENa, and RFI were observed prospectively in forty five patients operated on at Dept. of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, S.N.U.H., from April to June, 1985. They were 23 males and 22 females with 35 acquired and 10 congenital heart diseases and the mean age and body surface area of them were 38.010.3 years [22-63] and 1.5518 M2[1.151.92] respectively. Followings are the conclusion. 1. The Ccr, representative of renal function, is significantly improved from 90.231.3 ml/min/M2 preoperatively to 101.536.4 ml/min/M2 postoperative and day [P<0.05], and all patients were classified as postoperative renal functional class I of Abel, which representing adequate renal protection during our cardiopulmonary bypass. 2. The Cosm is significantly elevated at immediate postperfusion time and remained high at postoperative one day representing osmotic diuresis at that time, but CH2O shows no significant changes at immediate postperfusion period and is decreased significantly at postoperative one day, representing recovery of renal concentrating ability at that time with decreasing urine flow. 3. The absolute value and changing tendency in FENa and RFI during perioperative period shows no diagnostic reliability on these parameters, but those of CH2O appear to reveal future renal function more accurately than Ccr 4. The depth of hypothermia may be protective upon renal function against the ill effects of prolonged nonpulsatile cardiopulmonary bypass. 5. The depth of the hypothermia, pump time of more than 150 minutes, poor cardiac function, and intraoperative events such as embolism appear to be related with immediate postperfusion renal function. 6. Hemoglobinuria and hemolysis, poor preoperative renal function, history of cardiac surgery, and massive transfusion associated with bleeding appear not to be related with renal dysfunction.

본 연구는 아직 잘 알려지지 않은 고려말 조선초의 상류층 여성복식을 고증하여 구체관절인형의상 세트를 시험제작하고 한국 문화상품의 아름다움을 알리기 위한 것이다. 고려말 조선초의 상류층 여성복식은 풍성한 실루엣, 원과 명 복식과의 융합, 옛 고려풍의 부활, 발달한 모시 직조기술, 불교문화 복식이라는 특성을 가진다. 13-14C의 문헌과 유물과 회화를 통한 연구자의 고증과 패턴제작 과정을 거쳐 총 8점의 아이템이 외주제작되었다. 각 아이템은 세트로 구성되었으나 소비자가 단품으로 선택할 수 있으며 다양한 조합이 가능하다. 인체와 특성이 다른 구체관절인형의 바디로 인해 부분적으로 다아트와 작은 고름이 첨가되고 강직한 직물이 사용되었다. 이후로는 기성품 생산을 위한 업체 시스템 개발 연구가 필요하다.

전신마취를 필요로 하는 무증상 HBsAg양성 간효소치가 증가된 환자 11명을 대상으로 enflurane으로 마취한후 술전, 술후 3일, 7일 및 10일에 간기능검사를 실시하여 그 변화를 비교 검사한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) SGOT, SGPT SGOT, SGPT는 술후 3일에는 술전수치보다 약간 증가하였으나 7일, 10일에는 현저한 증가를 보였다. 8예에 있어서는 술후 3일에 술전치 보다 약간 증가한 양상을 보였고 7일, 10일에 술전치와 비슷하게 되었으나 3예에서는 3일에 SGOT, SGPT가 약간 증가하더니 7일, 10일에는 SGOT, SGPT가 300-500IU로 상당히 증가하여 간염치료를 하여 술후 2개월후에 술전치와 비슷하게 하강하였다. 2) Alkaline phosphatase, total protein, albumin, total bilirubin, and direct bilirubin은 술후 3일에 정상범위를 벗어난 변화를 보였으며 7일부터 정상범위내로 회복되었다. 이상의 결과를 보아 enflurane마취가 간기능에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는다고는 하나 HBaAg양성 간효소치가 증가한 환자에게는 마취시 간염으로 이행될 가능성이 높으므로 상당히 조심을 하여 마취를 시행하여야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Since the arrival of Chinese immigrants in the 1850s, many Euro-American writers tended to project their fears, contempt, desires and fantasy onto the Other race and perceived Chinese Americans in stereotypes-dangerous villains, unassimilated aliens, quiet and passive servants, sexually submissive women, or seductive prostitutes. However in the 1970s and the 1980s Euro-American novels expressed varying attitudes towards Chinese Americans. Many earlier EuroAmerican writers began portraying positive characterizations of Chinese Americans. The purpose of this study is to examine the ways one of the Euro-American writers, Howard Fast characterized Chinese Americans in The Immigrants. Part of the novel concerns a Chinese American family. Fast gave a favorable portrayal of Chinese Americans. Unlike many Euro-American novelists who dealt only with Chinese American villains and prostitutes and view Chinese Americans as the lowest class of American society, Fast, on the other hand, portrayed Chinese Americans as law-abiding and useful citizens. Thus, I will discuss how Howard Fast subverted the familiar negative characterization of Chinese Americans and placed Chinese American experiences in the context of American immigration history. Many white Americans tended to notice only the lurid and sensational aspects in the Chinese American community. They seldom regarded Chinese Americans as people with homes and families and seldom saw Chinese Americans as individuals, as human beings with feelings, pain, and joy. To counter this racist view, Fast described the family life of Chinese Americans and depicted Chinese Americans as individuals with a full range of human emotions and with strong family and cultural ties. Though Fast debunked some myths about Chinese Americans, he also reinforces other stereotypes or some stereotypical illusions about them. In conclusion, I'll demonstrate Fast's work remains an incomplete representation of Chinese Americans.

최근 디지털 네이티브 학습자를 위한 교수방법인 게임 활용 학습에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초등학교 역사수업에 맞춰 개발된 Kinect 게임 활용 수업을 실시한 후 성공적으로 학습에 참여한 것으로 관찰된 학생 14명을 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하여 참여적 학습 경험을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 학생들은 경쟁과 협력 놀이 요소에서는 '목표 달성'과 '상호작용'을, 디지털 놀이 요소에서는 '다감각적 자극', '환상과 호기심', '정확한 피드백', '우연', '통제감'을, 신체활동 놀이 요소에서는 '체감된 인지', '실재감'을 경험하면서 참여적 학습을 하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 Kinect 게임 활용 수업을 참여적 학습을 위한 교수학습방법으로 도입할 기초자료로서 도움을 주고자 한다.

The faint quasars with M1450 > -24 mag are known to hold the key to the determination of the ultraviolet emissivity for the cosmic reionization. But only a few have been identified so far because of the limitations on the survey data. Here we present the first results of the z ~ 5 faint quasar survey with the Infrared Medium-deep Survey (IMS), which covers ${\sim}100deg^2$ areas in J band to the depths of $J_{AB}$ ~ 23 mag. To improve selection methods, the medium-band follow-up imaging has been carried out using the SED camera for QUasars in Early uNiverse (SQUEAN) on the Otto Struve 2.1 m Telescope. The optical spectra of the candidates were obtained with 8 m class telescopes. We newly discovered 10 quasars with -25 < $M_{1450}$ < -23 at z ~ 5, among which three have been missed in a previous survey using the same optical data over the same area, implying the necessity for improvements in high-redshift faint quasar selection. We derived photometric redshifts from the medium-band data and found that they have high accuracies of ${\langle}{\mid}{\Delta}z{\mid}/(1+z){\rangle}=0.016$. The medium-band-based approach allows us to rule out many of the interlopers that contaminate ${\geq}20%$ of the broadband-selected quasar candidates. These results suggest that the medium-band-based approach is a powerful way to identify z ~ 5 quasars and measure their redshifts at high accuracy (1%-2%). It is also a cost-effective way to understand the contribution of quasars to the cosmic reionization history.

SNe light curves have been used to understand the expansion history of the universe, and a lot of efforts have gone into understanding the overall shape of the radioactively powered light curve. However, we still have little direct observational evidence for the theorized SN progenitor systems. Recent studies suggest that the light curve of a supernova shortly after its explosion (< 1 day) contains valuable information about its progenitor system and can be used to set a limit on the progenitor size, R*. In order to catch the early light curve of SNe explosion and understand SNe progenitors, we are performing a ~8hr interval monitoring survey of nearby galaxies (d < 50 Mpc) with 1-m class telescopes around the world. Through this survey, we expect to catch the very early precursor emission as faint as R=21 mag (~0.1 Rsun for the progenitor). In this poster, we outline this project, and provide updates on IMSNG projects during 2017/2018 seasons.
