  • Due to the popularity of smart phones based on personal propensities and individual lifestyle changes customerized services is increasing interest in the individual. The system for personalized services make a difference in the public institutions, museum of science and history. In particular, museums and art galleries have a common motivation which is sightseeing. Museum for the history and science education a national purpose that is put, unlikely art gallery. Museum of science and History, unlike the theme parks have a combination of entertainment and education as a public institution is a large consensus. In order to achieve this objective, exhibits raise a sufficient commitment to and the exhibits should be described by age. Using augmented reality combined with effective entertainment and education measures, we propose the effective smart guide service strategies for museum.

  • Augustus De Morgan became to be deeply interested in the education of pure mathematics since he came to teach in UCL because of the specific nature of natural philosophy lectures, the academical knowledge and reasoning powers of the students, and the negative attitudes of London society on mathematics. During his long tenure, he really tried his best to make his students understand the important concepts and the principles of pure mathematics, and logically explain the processes of inducing and proving the laws of pure mathematics. When he could not stay as a mere researcher, he had to concern himself with and pay attention to the problems of educating students. And then his teaching style was constructed in a specific way by the various attitudes about mathematics, the boundary relationship between the adjacent academical branches, and the social and systematic nature of UCL.

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of small group discussion using episodes from the history of science on students' understanding about the nature of science (NOS), achievement, enjoyment of science lessons, and science learning motivation. Participants were 138 ninth graders from a middle school in Seoul and they were assigned to a control group and a treatment group. Students in the treatment group were provided with two contrasting perspectives concerning the NOS and were encouraged to discuss them in small groups. The intervention lasted for 5 class periods. The results revealed that students of both the control group and the treatment group were found to possess similar views about NOS in a NOS pretest, whereas students of the treatment group exhibited more sophisticated understanding in a NOS posttest. The scores of the treatment group were also significantly higher than those of the control group in an enjoyment of science lessons test and a learning motivation test. However, there was no significant difference between two groups in the achievement test scores.

  • This study aims to provide basic resources for the construction of the archives on the official family service history in Korea. The study collected records of family policies and official family service from 1948 to 2019 and thereafter attempted to classify the official family service. In addition, experts were consulted to diagnose compliance with research contents and directions, investigate priorities of the family policies, and provide opinions on the elements of each process of archiving. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were five areas of concern to be considered in the process of establishing an archive of official family services: concept, scope, collection, arrangement, preservation, and utilization. Second, the findings suggest which processes are critical to developing a sustainable and systematic archive system for the official family service history. The construction of the archives will provide a platform for understanding the contents of integrated family policies and inform the direction of future family policies in Korea. In addition, these archives will be an important factor in building a solid Korean national identity.

  • There are many mistakes when we estimate probability of an event, for example, we often omit some likelihoods (of an event), sometimes give too large or too small possibility for a particular case, cannot relate current cases with which were concerned before, apply at another cases as soon as discuss about it insufficiently, etc. If we go into a history of probability and statistics, we shall ascertain that many scientists and mathmaticians made essentially same mistakes with us. In the paper, we will consider the theorization of probability and statistics as a process of modification of mistakes which were made during one's estimating possibility of an event. On that point of view, we shall look at historical background of probability and statistics.

  • In 1713, J. Bernoulli first discovered the method which one can produce those formulae for the sum $\sum\limits_{\iota=1}^{n}\;\iota^k$ for any natural numbers k ([5],[6]). In this paper, we investigate for the historical background and motivation of the sums of powers of consecutive integers due to J. Bernoulli. Finally, we introduce and discuss for the subjects which are studying related to these areas in the recent.

  • This study was conducted to investigate breakfast related factors and utilize the basic information for the development of university student's nutrition and health program in order to help healthy dietary life. The interview was done by trained interviewers on 197 students who visited health clinic in Inje university from May 1 to May 31, 1998. The obtained results were as follows; 1. The rate of having breakfast was 50.5% in male and 45.5% in female, and there were significantly higher rate(62.1%) in freshmen than other grade students(p〈0.05). 2. The rate of smoking and drinking were 24.9%, 86.6%, respectively. The rate of having breakfast was significantly lower in smoking group and drinking group than other groups(p〈0.05). 3. The group that was shown high awareness of the importance of having breakfast was higher than other groups in the rate of having breakfast(p〈0.05). 4. The author calculated odds ratios for past medical history, smoking, drinking, awareness of the importance of having breakfast by logistic regression. The values were 1.77 for past medical history(p〉0.05), 2.09 for smoking(p〉0.05), 2.88 for drinking(p〈0.05), 3.80 for awareness of the importance of having breakfast(p〈0.05). We suggested that better breakfast eating habits for an adequate daily diet should be emphasized through nutrition and health education program for university students.

  • We can say that the history of mathematics is the history on the development of the number system. The number starts from Natural number and is constructed to Integer number and Rational number. The Rational number is not the complete number analytically so that Real number is completed by the idea of the nested interval method. Real number is completed analytically, however, is not by algebra, so the algebraically completed type of the rational number, through the way that similar to the process of completing real number, is Complex number. The purpose of this study is to show the most appropriate way for the development of the human being thinking about the teaching and leaning of Complex number. To do this, We have to consider the proof of the existence of Complex number, the background of the introduction of Complex number and the background knowledge that the teachers to teach Complex number should have. Also, this study analyzes the knowledge to be taught of Complex number based on the anthropological theory of didactics and finally presents the teaching method of Complex number based on this theory.
