  • Let $\mathcal{L}$ be a subspace lattice on a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. And let X and Y be operators acting on a Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. Let $sp(x)=\{{\alpha}x\;:\;{\alpha}{\in}\mathcal{C}\}$ $x{\in}\mathcal{H}$. Assume that $\mathcal{H}=\overline{range\;X}{\oplus}sp(h)$ for some $h{\in}\mathcal{H}$ and < $h$, $E^{\bot}Xf$ >= 0 for each $f{\in}\mathcal{H}$ and $E{\in}\mathcal{L}$. Then there exists an operator A in Alg$\mathcal{L}$ such that AX = Y if and only if $sup\{\frac{{\parallel}E^{\bot}Yf{\parallel}}{{\parallel}E^{\bot}Yf{\parallel}}\;:\;f{\in}H,\;E{\in}\mathcal{L}\}$ = K < ${\infty}$. Moreover, if the necessary condition holds, then we may choose an operator A such that AX = Y and ${\parallel}||A{\parallel}=K$.

  • Given operators X and Y acting on a separable Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX = Y. In this article, we investigate self-adjoint interpolation problems for operators in a tridiagonal algebra : Let $\mathcal{L}$ be a subspace lattice acting on a separable complex Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ and let X = ($x_{ij}$) and Y = ($y_{ij}$) be operators acting on $\mathcal{H}$. Then the following are equivalent: (1) There exists a self-adjoint operator A = ($a_{ij}$) in $Alg{\mathcal{L}}$ such that AX = Y. (2) There is a bounded real sequence {${\alpha}_n$} such that $y_{ij}={\alpha}_ix_{ij}$ for $i,j{\in}\mathbb{N}$.

  • Given vectors x and y in a Hilbert space, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator T such that Tx=y. In this paper the following is proved: Let $\cal{L}$ be a subspace lattice on a Hilbert space $\cal{H}$. Let x and y be vectors in $\cal{H}$ and let $P_x$, be the projection onto sp(x). If $P_xE=EP_x$ for each $ E \in \cal{L}$ then the following are equivalent. (1) There exists an operator A in Alg(equation omitted) such that Ax=y, Af = 0 for all f in ($sp(x)^\perp$) and $A=-A^\ast$. (2) (equation omitted)

  • Given operators X and Y acting on a Hilbert space H, an interpolating operator is a bounded operator A such that AX= Y. An interpolating operator for n-operators satisfies the equation AXi= Yi, for i = 1,2,...,n, In this article, we showed the following : Let H be a Hilbert space and let L be a subspace lattice on H. Let X and Y be operators acting on H. Assume that rangeX is dense in H. Then the following statements are equivalent : (1) There exists an operator A in AlgL such that AX = Y, A$\^$*/=A and every E in L reduces A. (2) sup{(equation omitted) : n $\in$ N f$\sub$I/ $\in$ H and E$\sub$I/ $\in$ L}<$\infty$ and = for all E in L and all f, g in H.

  • Let $\cal{K}$ be the extension Hilbert space of a Hilbert space $\cal{H}$ and let $\Phi$ be the faithful $\ast$-representation of $\cal{B}(\cal{H})$ on $\cal{k}$. In this paper, we show that if T is an irreducible ${\omega}-hyponormal$ operators such that $ker(T)\;{\subset}\;ker(T^{*})$ and $T^{*}T\;-\;TT^{\ast}$ is compact, then $\sigma_{e}(T)\;=\;\sigma_{e}(\Phi(T))$.

  • Let H be a separable complex Hilbert space and L(H) be the *-algebra of all bounded linear operators on H. For $T \in L(H)$, we construct a pair of semi-positive definite operators $$ $\mid$T$\mid$_r = (T^*T)^{\frac{1}{2}} and $\mid$T$\mid$_l = (TT^*)^{\frac{1}{2}}. $$ An operator T is called a semi-hyponormal operator if $$ Q_T = $\mid$T$\mid$_r - $\mid$T$\mid$_l \geq 0. $$ In this paper, by using a technique introduced by Berberian [1], we show that the approximate point spectrum $\sigma_{ap}(T)$ of a semi-hyponomal operator T is empty.

  • By using the infinite dimensional optimization[Jang and Kinoshita(2000)]. which is based on the Hilbert space theory, optimal marine propellers are studied. The mathematical uniqueness for the optimized propeller is shown in this study. As a numerical example, the MAU type propeller is considered and used as the initial guess for the optimization method. The numerical results for an optimal marine propeller is illustrated for the pitch distribution.

  • Let $\mathcal{A}$ be a unital real standard Jordan operator algebra acting on a Hilbert space H of dimension at least 2. We show that every bijection ${\phi}$ on $\mathcal{A}$ satisfying ${\phi}(A^2{\circ}B)={\phi}(A)^2{\circ}{\phi}(B)$ is of the form ${\phi}={\varepsilon}{\psi}$ where ${\psi}$ is an automorphism on $\mathcal{A}$ and ${\varepsilon}{\in}\{-1,1\}$. As a consequence if $\mathcal{A}$ is the real algebra of all self-adjoint operators on a Hilbert space H, then there exists a unitary or conjugate unitary operator U on H such that ${\phi}(A)={\varepsilon}UAU^*$ for all $A{\in}\mathcal{A}$.

  • Let H be a separable complex Hilbert space. A commuting tuple $T=(T_1,{\cdots},T_n)$ of bounded linear operators on H is called a spherical isometry if $\sum_{i=1}^{n}T^*_iT_i=I$. The tuple T is called a toral isometry if each $T_i$ is an isometry. In this paper, we show that for each $n{\geq}1$ there is a supercyclic n-tuple of spherical isometries on $\mathbb{C}^n$ and there is no spherical or toral isometric tuple of operators on an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study an explicit hybrid relaxed extragradient iterative method to approximate a common solution to generalized mixed equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive semigroup in Hilbert space. Further, we prove that the sequence generated by the proposed iterative scheme converges strongly to the common solution to generalized mixed equilibrium problem and fixed point problem for a nonexpansive semigroup. This common solution is the unique solution of a variational inequality problem and is the optimality condition for a minimization problem. The results presented in this paper are the supplement, improvement and generalization of the previously known results in this area.
