  • Mechanization is the characteristic of the industrial era and computerization is the characteristic of the Information Era. Now we are facing on the transition from Industrial Era to information Era. Established the National Geo-spatial Data Infrastructures is the fundamental base for information society and is one part of the national basic economic development plan. From 1980's China started his successful transition from traditional methods to high-tech based mapping. China has laid out a high accuracy national GPS (global Positioning System) network, and completed the geographic information databases for scale of 1:1million and 1:250,000. Now it is working on the databases for scales of 1:50,000 and 1:10,000, the world highest level. The massive national programmed has been dubbed "Digital China," since it involves massive quantities of digitized geographical information. Simultaneity, GIS technology and the geo-spatial data have been used widely in electronic government affair, environmental protection, disaster control, ITS and etc. The users have realized the benefits more and more widely. Internet is an efficient way to distribute the geo-information, the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping has give great effort to settle down the rules and standards to establish the clearing house. Some National Geo-standards have issued, and some of them are on the way. The GIS software is another important factor in the GIS industry. Chinese government working-out some good policy to supports the GIS software developer to have their own copyright. • Titanium and its alloys have been widely using in the various field of industry application due to high corrosion resistant properties and mechanical properties. Titanium is highly reactive in the high temperature state and the formation of titanium oxide and porosities in the nuggets of fusion welding will results in the degradation of the mechanical properties. For this reason the studies of friction stir welding for titanium have been investigated recently. The FSW zones of titanium were classified by the weld nugget (WN), the linear transition boundary (TB) and the heat affected zone (HAZ). The WN along with titanium parent was characterized by the presence of twins and dislocations. The average grain size and hardness of WN has been changed according to heat input. The grain refinement resulted from the FSW increased the hardness in the stir zone. Sound dissimilar joints between SUS 304 and CP-Ti were achieved using an advancing speed of 50 mm/min and rotation speeds in the range of 700-1100 rpm. Aluminum 1060 and titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V plates were lap joined by friction stir welding, hence the ultimate tensile shear strength of joint reached 100% of Al 1060. Mg alloy and Ti were successfully butt joined by inserting a probe into the Mg alloy plate with slightly offsetting. But Ti-Al intermetallic compound layers formed at the interface of these joints.

  • In this study, we introduce a multi-modal mixed reality (MR) application for advertising the main touristic landmarks on Jeju Island, and evaluate its effectiveness based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with a focus on the user's involvement in Korean culture (K-Culture). Specifically, we deployed several stimuli to enable users to retrieve information, visualize a variety of heritage content such as text, images, videos, virtual artifacts, and immerse in a VR environment to experience the heritage locations. The results of the online survey with 436 participants showed that for consumers with low K-Culture involvement, Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease-of-Use did not affect their Intention to Visit the island. Still, it had a significant impact on their Intention to Use the application. On the other hand, for the group with high K-Culture involvement, Perceived Usefulness had no effect on the Intention to Use and Intention to Visit. However, Perceived Ease-of-Use had a significant impact on their Intention to Use the application and Intention to Visit Jeju Island. Therefore, when user involvement in K-Culture is high, convenience of use has played a significant role in sensory media usage and the intention to visit, regardless of the usefulness of the mixed reality content. In contrast, users with low K-Culture involvement primarily focused on the functional aspects of the application. These findings open the path for follow-up studies on K-Culture involvement and immersive media tourism marketing, which will benefit digital tourism marketing and Korea's tourism industry.

  • This study investigated fabrics, washing and cares, design, pattern, subsidiary materials, and sewing methods with a focus on the functional outers using moisture-permeable waterproof fabric as a shell; in addition, each element was analyzed for differences depending on fabric type. The characteristics of 34 outers were investigated through labels, online product introductions, visual inspection, observations from two experts with more than 30 years experience and wear tests. Moisture-permeable waterproof fabrics used for the outer were classified into two types; in addition, the shell of the high-density fabric and the 2 & 3-layer fabrics had different characteristics. Various fabrics, detailed designs, and three-dimensional patterns suitable for each part of the human body were used to improve functionality. In addition, various subsidiary materials and sewing methods were used to form an organic relationship. The same washing and cares, patterns and subsidiary materials were used regardless of fabric type; however, the fabric type influenced the detailed design and sewing. The outers with high-density fabric had a loose fit, short placket, e-banded cuffs, lock-stitch, and lock-stitch+binding. However, the outer with 2 & 3 layer fabric had a slim fit, hood width adjustment, zippered pockets, cuffs with tab, seamless adhesive sewing such as laminating, lock-stitch+ seam-sealing, and welding.

  • Recently, the defense industry has been improving high technology by developing convergence technology through the 4th industrial revolution. On the other hand, it is very difficult to guarantee the performance of high-tech weapon systems because the test for weapon systems has many risks and cannot perform in an actual operating environment. Therefore, M&S resources are needed to make sound weapon systems, but many people demand reliable M&S resources. Owing to the continuous demand and execution of the VV&A work, related rules have developed significantly, but tools and techniques for performing the work have not been developed. Hence, there are inefficient parts in the performance of work due to the absence of a systematic system. Accordingly, many risks may cause various safety accidents, such as security. This paper suggests a direction for the development of VV&A work procedures by improving efficiency and reducing risk.

  • Although the Ti-6Al-4V alloy has been used in the aircraft industry owing to its excellent mechanical properties and low density, the low formability of the alloy hinders broadening its applications. Recently, laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF) has become a novel process for overcoming the limitations of the alloy (i.e., low formability), owing to the high degree of design freedom for the geometry of products having outstanding performance used in high-tech applications. In this study, to investigate the effect of bulk shape on the microstructure and mechanical properties of L-PBFed Ti-6Al-4V alloys, two types of samples are fabricated using L-PBF: thick and thin samples. The thick sample exhibits lower strength and higher ductility than the thin sample owing to the larger grain size and lower residual dislocation density of the thick sample because of the heat input during the L-PBF process.

  • This study attempted to present a strategy for operating a university Semiconductor Boot Camp in order to resolve the manpower shortage in semiconductor companies and establish a virtuous cycle of talent development and industrial growth. For this purpose, we conducted a survey and interview with 18 experts in the semi-apprenticeship field and analyzed them. As a result of the analysis, there was a high consensus on the need for boot camps to 'meet the needs of various companies' and 'cultivate talent capable of being deployed in the field', and opinions on the program's goal were 'to provide education to those expected to graduate and graduates majoring in science and engineering through education. The level of agreement was highest for 'strengthening practical capabilities' and 'cultivating professional talent with expert knowledge of each unit process'. The Semiconductor Boot Camp curriculum was found to be most suitable for conducting field practical projects after training in field experience, theory, and practice. This research is expected to be used as a basis for devising a strategy for effectively running the semiconductor field in university education.

  • Objectives : The present study was designed to investigate effects of Ssanghwa-tang (Shu$\bar{a}$nghu$\bar{a}$-g$\bar{e}$ng) on oxidation/reduction reaction-related and aging-related enzymes $in$ $vitro$. Methods : We performed MTT assay, collagenase inhibition assay, elastase inhibition assay, tyrosinase inhibition assay, DPPH free radical scavenging assay, SOD-like activity and xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibition assay. Results : The 50% ethanol (EtOH) extract of Ssanghwa-tang (SHT) showed 55% inhibition of collagenase activity, and 42% inhibition of elastase activity at 1 mg/ml concentration. Also it's treatment showed 18% inhibition of tyrosinase activity, to relate whitening effect, at the same dose of 50% ethanol extract of SHT. Antioxidant activities were determined by DPPH radical scavenging, XO inhibiting activity and SOD-like activity. These scavenging, XO-inhibiting and SOD-like activities were measured in 80%, 75%, and 28% inhibitions, respectively, at a 1 mg/ml treated dose, compared to those of control. The inhibitory effects of 50% EtOH extract on aging and oxidation-related enzyme activities were higher than those of water extract and 95% EtOH extract. Conclusions : Taken together, our findings suggest that the SHT has potential and applicable benefits for development of cosmetics to have anti-aging (anti-wrinkle and whitening) and anti-oxidation functions.
