Clustering is required to configure clustering interdependent structural technology. Clustering handles variable workloads or impede continuity of service to continue operating in the event of a failure. Long as high-availability clustering feature focuses on server operating systems. Active-standby state of two systems when the active server fails, all services are running on the standby server, it takes the service. This function switching or switchover is called failover. Long as high-availability clustering feature focuses on server operating systems. The cluster node that is running on multiple systems and services have to duplicate each other so you can keep track of. In the event of a node failure within a few seconds the second node, the node shall perform the duties broken. Structure for high-availability clustering efficiency should be measured. System performance of infrastructure systems performance, latency, response time, CPU load factor(CPU utilization), CPU processes on the system (system process) channels are represented.
In cluster file systems, the availability of files has been supported by replicating entire files or generating parities on parity servers. However, those methods require very large temporal and spatial cost, and cannot handle massive failures situation on the file system. So we propose HA-PVFS, a cluster file system supporting high data availability adaptive to temporal locality. HA-PVFS restricts replication or parity generation to some important files, for that it employs an efficient algorithm to estimate file access patterns from limited information. Moreover, in order to minimize the performance degradation of the file system, it uses delayed update method and relay replication.

Most organizations are more depending on information system in advanced information society. According to this current, unrapid reaction to system failure can cause a fatal effect to a credibility of the organization. An excessively high level of dependence on information system at work makes itself as a primary target of cyber terror. The stability of university's information system is especially weaker than the enterprise's but policy support for securing availability is inadequate. In this paper, we consider the recovery system toward to disorder of university's school affairs information system theoretically and suggest high availability PC based academic administration system.
Internet-based computer systems have to provide both high-availability and high-performance. Cluster technology has been used to obtain availability and performance simultaneously Generally, high-availability cluster systems tolerate a failure of a cluster node and cost-effectively solve it. In this paper, we study availability and downtime cost of (n,k) cluster systems. By considering performance, we model state transition of (n,k) cluster systems and apply software rejuvenation technique to improve availability of the system. We find that software rejuvenation can be used to improve availability of (n,k) cluster systems.
Home service networked systems require a high-availability service with a proactive and practical fault management. However, as the system complexity grows, it is not easy to meet the requirement. Moreover, user may want to pay no attention to a sequence of complex or nervous maintenance jobs for system fault managements. Therefore, the home service networked systems must have self & remote fault management capability with a minimal human intervention for meeting high-availability requirement of the integrated systems that consist of the networked appliances or devices. In this paper, we present an autonomic healing utility equipped with a remote self-managing mechanism in order to both increase the availability of home service networked systems and decrease the maintenance cost.
These days, there are more and more IT research institutions which foresee cloud services as the predominant IT service in the near future and there, in fact, are actual cloud services provided by some IT leading vendors. Regardless of physical location of the service and environment of the system, cloud service can provide users with storage services, usage of data and software. On the other hand, cloud service has challenges as well. Even though cloud service has its edge in terms of the extent to which the IT resource can be freely utilized regardless of the confinement of hardware, the availability is another problem to be solved. Hence, this paper is dedicated to tackle the aforementioned issues; prerequisites of cloud computing for distributed file system, open source based Hadoop distributed file system, in-memory database technology and high availability database system. Also the author tries to body out the high availability mass distributed data management architecture in cloud service's perspective using currently used distributed file system in cloud computing market.

Most studies in the past in testing and benchmarking on Intrusion Detection System (IDS) were conducted as comparisons, rather than evaluation, on different IDSs. This paper presents the evaluation of the performance of one of the open source IDS, snort, in an inexpensive high availability system configuration. Redundancy and fault tolerance technology are used in deploying such IDS, because of the possible attacks that can make snort exhaust resources, degrade in performance and even crash. Several test data are used in such environment and yielded different results. CPU speed, Disk usage, memory utilization and other resources of the IDS host are also monitored. Test results with the proposed system configuration environment show much better system availability and reliability, especially on security systems.

The characteristic of the random-request availability is that random task arrival is included as one of system elements. If the mean number of task arrivals grows, the computational complexity for deriving the random-request availability becomes extremely high. Using a simulation method, the effect of 'random task arrival' elements on the random-request availability is investigated. Some approximation methods are also discussed.
As cluster systems used for high performance computing consist of large number of running servers, one has to solve the low availability problems occurred by the high chance of the server failures. To handle the problems, it is necessary to have the precise definition of available performance of cluster systems that represents availability and performability of the systems simultaneously. Previous research results that mention availability issues lack for concerning system performance such as waiting time and response time in their availability definition. In this paper, we propose a new availability metric for (n, k)-way cluster systems which compose of n primary servers and k backup servers. With the metric, the change of system performance according to arrival rates is captured and the waiting time of a request can be kept below to a certain level. Using various system operating parameters, we calculate availability and downtime of cluster systems along with waiting tine deadline.
An cluster web server system, one has the problem that does the low availability occured by the high chance of the server failures and it is not easy to provide high performance and availability occuring software aging. In this paper, running cluster web sewers consists of n primary servers and k backup servers, propose software rejuvenation model on performance and switchover time. Based on the various system operational parameters, we calculate to evaluate the rejuvenation policy such steady-state probabilities, availability, and downtime cost. And we validate the solutions of mathematical model by experiments based on various operation parameters and fud that the software rejuvenation method can be adopted as prventive fault tolerant technique for stability of system.
