The object of this study is to define the characteristics of high performance concrete with varing compressive strength of concrete and curing temperature. The major test variables are 1) high strength concrete(500kg/$cm^2$) and ordinary strength concrete(240kg/$cm^2$) compressive strength, 2) curing temperature and condition, 3) concrete curing age, 4) three types of cement. From the test results were shown that curing temperature and curing conditions were also very effective for high strength concrete and ordinary strength concrete, and concrete were largely effected by cement type and temperature during the hydration reaction process. This paper describes the effect of curing temperature for strength and characteristics of high performance concrete.
The performance characteristics of high-strength and high-performance concrete are discussed in this review. Recent developments in the field of high-performance concrete marked a giant step forward in high-tech construction materials with enhanced durability, high compressive strength and high modulus of elasticity particularly for industrial applications. There is a growing awareness that specifications requiring high compressive strength make sense only when there are specific strength design advantages. HPC today employs blended cements that include silica fume, fly ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag. In typical formulations, these cementitious materials can exceed 25% of the total cement by weight. Silica fume contributes to strength and durability; and fly ash and slag cement to better finish, decreased permeability, and increased resistance to chemical attack. The influences of various mineral admixtures such as fly ash, silica fume, micro silica, slag etc. on the performance of high-strength concrete are discussed.
Ultra-high strength concrete and high tensile steel are becoming very attractive materials for high-rise buildings because of the need to reduce member size and structural self-weight. However, limited test data and design guidelines are available to support the applications of high strength materials for building constructions. This paper presents significant findings from comprehensive experimental investigations on the behaviour of tubular columns in-filled with ultra-high strength concrete at ambient and elevated temperatures. A series of tests was conducted to investigate the basic mechanical properties of the high strength materials, and structural behaviour of stub columns under concentric compression, beams under moment and slender beam-columns under concentric and eccentric compression. High tensile steel with yield strength up to 780 MPa and ultra-high strength concrete with compressive cylinder strength up to 180 MPa were used to construct the test specimens. The test results were compared with the predictions using a modified Eurocode 4 approach. In addition, more than 2000 test data samples collected from literature on concrete filled steel tubes with normal and high strength materials were also analysed to formulate the design guide for implementation in practice.

Recently, structure performance is maximized by using high strength concrete. In design of structure, concrete need combination with reinforcement, but use of common strength reinforcement make member complex bar placement, so high strength concrete members require increased strength reinforcement. If common strength reinforcement replaced by equal tension area of high strength reinforcement, reinforcement ratio increase and brittle failure of member may occur by material change. So, adequate upper limit of strength ratio is required to affirm ductile behavior in application of high strength reinforcement. In this study, ductility behavior was analysed by factor of reinforcement ratio, strength of concrete and reinforcement. The result indicate that ductile failure is shown under 0.35 $\rho_{b}$ in any reinforcement strength of same section and high strength concrete of 800kg/$cm^{2}$ used commonly is compatible with reinforcement of 5500kg/$cm^{2}$.

Recently, more highly effective construction materials are needed for the reasonable and economical structure system is required as the construction structures become more multi storied, large-sized and diversified. That is to say, the highly qualified concrete is positively promoted as a part of plan to establish the effective space according to the dead load of structures and diminish of segment profile and to build up the economic structures. However, the high strength concrete has the problems such high brittleness and low ductility. Specially, for the high strength concrete, it has different strength from normal concrete as the internal temperature goes up steadily due to high heat of hydration by the quantities of highly level of cement, so the concrete which is mixed with various miscible materials is used. As the development and study for high strength concrete (more than $100N/mm^2$) is under way actively and the strength of high strength concrete increases, the strength different from the existing high strength concrete of ten than $100N/mm^2$, but the study for this is not adequate and indefinite. In addition, the study and report to apply the strength expression and analysis results of internal structure. Therefore, this study is an experiment about using the miscible materials affects what happens to the longitudinal physical property.

Fatigue strength of high strengthsteels are variable with many different surface treatment. It is well known that residual compressive stress retard fatigue crack growth rate(or arrest crack). High strngth steels are manufactured by following process. Heat treatment, shot peening and chromium plating process. High strength steel(HRC40 or above) which are subjected to fatigue load and dynamic load, chromium plated parts shall be peened in accordance with requirements and baked after plating. The purpose of this paper is to compare and discuss the influence of surface treatment and hydrogen embrittlement on fatigue strength of high strength steel. Therefore, fatigue test was performed to investigate influence of surface treatment. The results shows that shot peening is very effect method in creasing fatigue life and after plating, baking process is essential to prevent hydogen failure. In this paper, the experimental investigation is made to clarify the influence of shot peening conditions and baking process on fatigue strength of high strength steel.

The most important reason of using of ultra high strength concrete in super tall building is that ultra high strength concrete can reduce the section of members and control side sway effectively. However, the practical utilization of ultra high strength concrete is dependent not only on the production techniques, but also the overall preparation including proper code provisions, construction technique. The purpose of this study is to evaluate of mechanical properties of UHSC, such as modulus of elasticity, stress-strain behavior, modulus of rupture and tensile splitting strength. It is similar to normal or high strength concrete but necessary to discern the difference between normal or high strength concrete and ultra high strength concrete and modify existed equations. And in this study another important factor is to discern the difference according to member size, curing method in ultra high strength concrete experimentally.
Structural safety evaluation for static strength of thin plate RC member with high strength concrete is conducted in this study. Static strengths were predicted and compared with the experimental values. Predicted values were calculated by the evaluation formula based on the punching shear behavior and the yield line theory which can appear in the plate members. Static load tests were carried out for the specimens with high strength concrete and the test results were compared with the required performance in design. The comparison results show that the specimens with high strength concrete have sufficient structural safety for flexural and punching shear performance required in design. High strength concrete specimens exhibited excellent strength despite their small thickness. The range of concrete strengths applied in this study was about 60 MPa to 100 MPa.
The conventional ACI rectangular stress block is developed on the basis of normal-strength concrete column tests and it is still being used for the design of high-strength concrete members. Many research papers found in the literature indicate that the nominal strength of high-strength concrete members appears to be over-predicted by the ACI rectangular stress block. This is especially true for HSC columns. The general shape of the stress-strain curve of high-strength concrete becomes more likely as a triangle. A triangular stress block is, therefore, introduced in this paper. The proposed stress block is verified using a database which consists of 52 tested singly reinforced high-strength concrete beams having concrete strength above 55 MPa (8,000 psi). In addition, the proposed model is compared with models of various design codes and proposals of researchers found in the literature. The nominal flexural strengths computed using the proposed stress block are in a good agreement with the tested data as well as with that obtained from design codes models and proposals of researchers.
The concrete-filled steel tube (CFT) columns have several benefits of high load-bearing capacity, inherent ductility and toughness because of the confinement effect of the steel tube on concrete and the restraining effect of the concrete on local buckling of steel tube. However, the experimental research into the behavior of square CFT columns consisting of high-strength steel and high-strength concrete is limited. Six full scale CFT specimens were tested under flexural moment. The CFT columns consisted of high-strength steel tubes ($f_y$ = 325 MPa, 555 MPa, 900 MPa) and high-strength concrete ($f_{ck}$ = 80 MPa and 120 MPa). The ultimate capacity of high strength square CFT columns was compared with AISC-LRFD design code. Also, this study was focused on investigating the effect of high-strength materials on the structural behavior and the mathematical models of the steel tube and concrete. Nonlinear fiber element analyses were conducted based on the material model considering the cyclic bending behavior of high-strength CFT members. The results obtained from the numerical analyses were compared with the experimental results. It was found that the numerical analysis results agree well with the experimental results.
