High Accuracy Skeleton Estimation using 3D Volumetric Model based on RGB-D

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm that extracts a high-precision 3D skeleton using a model generated using a distributed RGB-D camera. When information about a 3D model is extracted through a distributed RGB-D camera, if the information of the 3D model is used, a skeleton with higher precision can be obtained. In this paper, in order to improve the precision of the 2D skeleton, we find the conditions to obtain the 2D skeleton well using the PCA. Through this, high-quality 2D skeletons are obtained, and high-precision 3D skeletons are extracted by combining the information of the 2D skeletons. Even though this process goes through, the generated skeleton may have errors, so we propose an algorithm that removes these errors by using the information of the 3D model. We were able to extract very high accuracy skeletons using the proposed method.

  • The feature points in the uncalibrated stereo vision should represent all the characteristics of an image in multiple resolution, have high precision, and have the robustness against mismatching. This paper proposed an algorithm which detects the corner points in multi-resolution for stereo computer vision. The algorithm has sub-pixel precision, rejects the mismatched points, and corrects the lens distortion. We show the performance of the algorithm by estimating the homography with it.

  • The high-precision magnetic levitation transport system is a transport device applying the principle of magnetic levitation. So it is preferable for manufactory process of semiconductor and display industries. In this system, the gap sensors are arranged discontinuously and turned on or off when the tray moves in the running direction. Therefore, precise gap data is important for precise control of the carrier. However, a slight error occurs in the process of installing the gap sensor. So, in this paper, we introduce the high-precision magnetic levitation transport system for OLED evaporation process. Also, we propose a strategy for stable flight control and an offset algorithm for tracking installation errors transport system. The performances of the proposed algorithm are validated through simulation.

  • In this paper, we studied a vibration problem that is critical and common to most precision measurement systems. For micro mechanical part measurements, results obtained from the vision-based precision measurement system may contain errors due to the vibration. In order to defeat this generic problem, for the current study, a PC based image processing technique was used first, to assess the effect of the vibration to the precision measurement and second, to develop an in-situ calibration algorithm that automatically compensate the measurement results in real time. We used a set of stereoscopic CCD cameras to acquire the images for the dimensional measurement and the reference measurement. The mapping function was obtained through the in-situ calibration to compensate the measurement results and the statistical analysis for the actual results is provided in the paper. Based on the current statistical study, it is expected to obtain high precision results for the micro measurement systems.

  • It is one of the most important things to determinate optimized cutting conditions which satisfy productivity and cost simultaneously in production and CAPP systems. These days many researchers have figured out the optimizing way for solutions of multi-object function to find the approach methods using algorithm such as genetic algorithm or tabu search, etc., instead of mathematical methods. The main creation of objective function is proposed by empirical method but which is difficult to set it up and to analysis. In this paper, an optimization method of cutting condition is shown using the ANN and GA for the multi-objective function in high speed machining.

  • The x-y table of the SFFS to move a printer head must be the system that has a high speed and accuracy. So we propose the SMCSPO algorithm on the timing belt system. The major contribution is the design of a robust observer for the state and the perturbation of the timing belt system, which is combined with a robust controller. The control performance of the proposed algorithm is compared with PD control by the experiments. The results of SMCSPO algorithm showed more accuracy and better performance than PD control. Therefore we may apply the algorithms to a high speed and accuracy control for SFFS.

  • This study proposes a new simulation method of high speed rotor system with the dynamic model using multi body dynamic analysis tool and with a new phase modulating technique as a system control algorithm. A dynamic model of high speed rotor system was built by, ADAMS, commercial multi body dynamic program. The phase modulating technique is a new control algorithm for a rotor system. This algorithm can control system using an adaptive proportional gain and an adaptive phase which are obtained from periodical input signal. To make control system, a ADAMS model and component parameters and phase controller was composed by Matlab Simulink And simulate it.

  • This paper develops an octree-based algorithm for machining simulation. Most commercial machining simulators are based on the Z map model, which has several limitations in terms of achieving a high level of precision in five-axis machining simulation. Octree representation being a three-dimensional (3D) decomposition method, an octree-based algorithm is expected to be able to overcome such limitations. With the octree model, storage requirement is reduced. Moreover, recursive subdivision is processed in the boundaries, which reduces useless computations. The supersampling method is the most common form of antialiasing and is typically used with polygon mesh rendering in computer graphics. The supersampling technique is being used to advance the efficiency of the octree algorithm..

  • This article describes a FM modulation algorithm to increase the measurement speed by increasing the beat frequency of the laser without acousto-optic modulator(AOM) in the heterodyne laser interferometer. The proposed algorithm can increase the beat frequency of the heterodyne laser which limit the measurement speed by adjusting a carrier frequency through electronic circuit, while AOM is used to shift the frequency of the heterodyne laser in conventional method. Electronic circuit is constructed to modulate the signals from a laser interferometer and a waveform generator. The brier analysis, the measurement scheme of the system, and the experimental results using a Zeeman-stabilized He-Ne laser are presented. They demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is proven to enhance the measurement speed limit by increasing the beat frequency of the heterodyne laser.

  • This paper presents a scheduling problem for a high-density robotic workcell using multi-objective genetic algorithm. We propose a new algorithm based on NSGA-II(Non-dominated Sorting Algorithm-II) which is the most popular algorithm to solve multi-objective optimization problems. To solve the problem efficiently, the proposed algorithm divides the problem into two processes: clustering and scheduling. In clustering process, we focus on multi-robot positions because they are fixed in manufacturing system and have a great effect on task distribution. We test the algorithm by changing multi-robot positions and compare it to previous work. Test results shows that the proposed algorithm is effective under various conditions.
