  • The time sharing type high frequency inverter using serial-parallel resonant to give VVVF function in the inverter used as power source of induction heating at high frequency is presented in this paper. This proposed inverter can reduce distribution of the switching current because of using the current of serial resonant circuit to the input current of the parallel one. The analysis of the proposed circuit is generally described by using the normalized parameters. Also, according to the calculated characteristics value, a method of the circuit design and operating characteristics of the inverter is proposed. In addition, this paper proves the validity of theoretical analysis through Simulation. This proposed inverter show that it can be practically used in future as power source system for induction heating application, DC-DC converter etc.

  • A new Class-D series-loaded resonant inverter topology which can minimize the influences of the stray inductances is presented. In the conventional Class-D inverters, the stray inductances not only result in the overvoltage which gives the switches voltage stresses, but also in the high frequency resonant currents during turn-off transients. The new Class-D inverter is superior to the conventional Class-D inverters with respect to minimization of the problems caused by the stray inductances and is more suitable for high power and high frequency inverter systems such as induction heating. The validity of the new Class-D inverter is verified by simulation and experimental results.

  • The frequency power control method (FCM) which has a wide operating frequency range is adopted for induction heating (IH) cooktops. When FCM is applied to the full-bridge series resonant converter (FB-SRC) based IH system, high-frequency switching of the inverter is required compared to the half-bridge SRC (HB-SRC)-based IH system. Therefore, the switching loss of the inverter increases, and applying FCM under the condition that the inverter operating frequency range is limited is difficult. Therefore, this paper proposes a control strategy with the phase shift power control method considering that limited frequency conditions are presented. Loss analysis following the control method is performed through simulation and mathematical analysis. In addition, the validity of the proposed control strategy is verified by analyzing the heating performance following the control method through the test results of the 3,200[W] prototype.

  • 전자유도 가열시설에서 정밀하고 일정한 주파수 성분에 의해 가열물체에 발열을 유도하려면 LC공진회로 설계단계에서 출력 주파수에 대한 커패시터의 정전용량(C)과 워크코일의 유도계수(L) 설정이 중요하다. 하지만 고유의 발열계수를 가진 물체의 가열위치와 범위에 직접유도를 하는 워크코일은 고정적으로 설계되는 반면 커패시터는 가변되도록 설계되어야만 전체장비의 활용도가 높아진다. 본 논문에서는 $1000V_{MAX}$ 최대전압과 $200I_{MAX}$ 전류에서 최대 700kHz의 고주파 LC공진 출력이 되도록 커패시터 내부구성 원자재 선정 및 공정설계 단계까지 단일전극 용량별 샘플을 추출하였다. 그리고 정전용량 규격변화에 따라 주파수 변화특성과 출력 파라메타 결과를 바탕으로 HF-LC공진용 전도냉각 커패시터의 최적설계를 위한 관계를 증명하는 기초 실험결과를 제시하였다.

  • This paper proposes a voltage-fed high frequency resonant inverter having variable voltage variable frequency(VVVF) control function. VVVF control is performed by PWM-TRC method in the boost type chopper and PFM-TRC method in the high frequency resonant inverter. This circuit is suitable for induction heating and melting power supply in industry. The operating characteristics of this inverter are discussed from a theoretical point of view. The results of operating characteristic analyses are given leading to complete designing data.

  • Nanostructured Alumina - 20 vol% 3YSZ composites powder were synthesized by wet-milling technique. The starting materials were a mixture of Alumina micro-powder and 3YSZ nano-powders. Nano-crystalline grains were obtained after 24 h milling time. The nano-structured powder compacts were then processed to full density at different temperatures by high-frequency induction heat sintering (HFIHS). Effects of temperature on the mechanical and microstructure properties have been studied. $Al_2O_3-3YSZ$ composites with higher mechanical properties and small grain size were successfully developed at relatively low temperatures through this technique.

  • In this paper, It is indicating that an issues of the conventional boost converter for high frequency induction heating. To improve those issues, it is proposed, simulated and analyzed that the current resonant circuit, simulated. As the result, we knew that the proposed circuit has a good point to improve the waveform of input current and to make high efficiency. On the other side, in the inverter for the high current power supply, it is proposed that the high frequency inverter of the half bridge topology, be done the circuit analysis to extract the optimal circuit parameter. It is making sure of the soft switching operating by the inductor to reverse parallel connected on the inverter main switch, decreasing the surge voltage when the switch is turn-off by compulsion, and repressing the switch current and bringing the high current amplitude operation by the multi resonance.

  • Purpose: Dental casting Co-Cr-Mo based alloys of five kinds of ingot type and two kinds of shot type were analyzed the melting processes with heating time of high frequency induction centrifugal casting machine using infrared thermal image analyzer. Methods: When Co-Cr-Mo based alloys were put about 30g/charge in the ceramic crucible of high frequency induction centrifugal casting machine and heat, Infrared thermal image analyzer and IR thermometer indicated these alloys in the crucible were set and operated. Results: The melting temperatures of alloys measuring infrared thermal image analyzer were deviated ${\pm}10^{\circ}C$ compared to those of manufacturing company. On the other hand, the melting time of alloys were differently appeared with the shape of alloys(ingot and shot type). Conclusion: The melting temperatures of dental Co-Cr-Mo based alloys were measured the degree of $1,360{\sim}1410^{\circ}C$ and the heating time with the alloys of ingot and shot type were deviated ${\pm}10sec$.

유도가열에 따른 SKH51의 반응고 미세조직 특성 연구 (The Characteristics of Microstructure in the Semi-solid State of SKH51 at High Frequency Induction Heating)

  • Semi-solid forming of the high melting point alloys such as steel is a promising near-net shape forming process for decreasing manufacturing costs and increasing the quality of the final products. This paper presents the microstructure characteristics of SKH51 (high speed tool steel) during heating and holding in the mushy zone between $1233^{\circ}C$ and $1453^{\circ}C$, which has been measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results of heating/holding experiments showed that the grain size and the liquid fraction increased gradually with temperature up to $1350^{\circ}C$. The drastic grain growth occurred at heating above $1380^{\circ}C$. The strain-induced melt-activated (SIMA) process has been applied to obtain globular grains in the billet materials. Working by mechanical upsetting and successive heating of SKH51 into the temperatures in the mushy zone resulted in globular grains due to recrystallization and partial melting.
