3C-SiC 마이크로 히터의 제작과 그 특성 (Fabrication of 3C-SiC micro heaters and its characteristics)

  • This paper describes the characteristics of a poly 3C-SiC micro heater which was fabricated on AlN(0.1 $\mu$m)/3C-SiC(1.0 $\mu$m) suspended membranes by surface micro-machining technology. The 3C-SiC and AlN thin films which have wide energy band gap and very low lattice mismatch were used sensors for high temperature and voltage environments. The 3C-SiC thin film was used as micro heaters and temperature sensor materials simultaneously. The implemented 3CSiC RTD(resistance of temperature detector) and the power consumption of micro heaters were measured and calculated. The TCR(thermal coefficient of the resistance) of 3C-SiC RTD is about -5200 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ within a temperature range from 25 $^{\circ}C$ to 50 $^{\circ}C$ and -1040 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ at 500 $^{\circ}C$. The micro heater generates the heat about 500 $^{\circ}C$ at 10.3 mW. Moreover, durability of 3C-SiC micro heaters in high voltages is better than Pt micro heaters. A thermal distribution measured and simulated by IR thermovision and COMSOL is uniform on the membrane surface.

Experimental Study on Single Bubble Growth Under Subcooled, Saturated, and Superheated Nucleate Pool Boiling

  • Nucleate pool boiling experiments with constant wall temperature were performed using pure R1l3 for subcooled, saturated, and superheated pool conditions. A microscale heater array and Wheatstone bridge circuits were used to maintain the constant wall temperature and to measure the instantaneous heat flow rate accurately with high temporal and spatial resolutions. Images of bubble growth were taken at 5,000 frames per second using a high-speed CCD camera synchronized with the heat flow rate measurements. The bubble geometry was obtained from the captured bubble images. The effect of the pool conditions on the bubble growth behavior was analyzed using dimensionless parameters for the initial and thermal growth regions. The effect of the pool conditions on the heat flow rate behavior was also examined. This study will provide good experimental data with precise constant wall temperature boundary condition for such works.

전기가열장치를 이용한 압밀촉진에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study for Consolidation by Electric Heating Systems)

  • 본 연구에서는 투수계수 증대 및 간극수 가열 증발에 의한 두 가지 방법으로 기존의 상재하중 및 연직배수에 의한 압밀공법의 성능을 개선하고자 하였다. 투수계수 증대 실험은 해성점토를 $90^{\circ}C$로 저온 가열하여 투수계수를 증대시켰으며, 간극수 가열증발 실험은 Microwave oven(전자레인지)과 고온 전기가열관($250^{\circ}C$)을 이용하여 간극수를 가열 증발하였다. 각 실험의 문제점을 파악한 후 현장적용성과 간극수 배출특성이 뛰어난 고온 전기가열관에 의한 지반가열장치를 고안한 후, 인천 송도지역 해성점토를 대상으로 고온 전기가열실험을 수행하였다. 실험결과, 고온 전기가열관을 이용한 간극수의 가열 증발효과로 인해 연약지반의 압밀효과가 탁월한 것으로 나타났으며, 또한 점토의 콘지수가 약 19배 정도 증가되어 추후 표층개량을 통한 시공장비의 주행성 확보에 도 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

급수가열기 동체 감육 현상 규명을 위한 유동해석 연구 (A Study on the Fluid Mixing Analysis for Proving Shell Wall Thinning of a Feedwater Heater)

  • Feedwater flowing tube side of number 5 high pressure feedwatrr heaters was heated by extracting steam from high pressure turbine and draining water from moisture separators and number 6 high pressure feedwater heaters and supplied into steam generators. Because the extracting steam from the high pressure turbine is two phase fluid of high temperature, high pressure, and high speed and flows to inverse direction after impinging to impingement baffle. the shell wall of the number 5 high pressure feedwater heater may be affected by flow accelerated corrosion. On May 14, 1999, Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP) with operating at full power experienced a steam leak from rupture of shell side of number 4B feedwater heater. Also, d domestic nuclear power plant experienced a severe wall thinning of shell side of number 5A and 5B feedwater heaters. This paper describes the fluid mixing analysis study using PHOENICS code in order to get at the root of the shell wall thinning of the feedwater heaters. The sections included in the fluid mixing analysis model are around the number 5h feedwater heater shell including the extracting pipeline. To identify the relation between the local velocities and wall thinning. the local velocities according to the analysis results were compared with the distribution of the shell wall thickness by ultrasonic test.

  • In the intelligent integrated systems, the delay time must be reduced using highly parallel processors, as well as high throughput performance. In this paper, we propose a new concept for building 3D highly parallel processors using multi-layer printed wiring boards with built-in soldering heater (BISH-PWB). The proposed BISH is realized with the long and narrow cupper wiring pattern on the internal layer in the terminal pattern area. Based on the linearity of the cupper resistance vs. temperature, we can measure the BISH, temperature and its calorific value from the heater voltage and current measurements.   • Reliability problem in inkjet printhead, one of MEMS devices, is also very important. To eject an ink drop, the temperature of heater must be high so that ink contacting with surface reaches above $280^{o}C$ on the instant. Its heater is embedded in the thin multi-layer in which several materials are deposited. MEMS processes are the main sources of residual stresses development. Residual stress is one of the factors reducing the reliability of MEMS devices. We measured residual stresses of single layers that consist of multilayer. FE analysis is performed using design of experiment(DOE). Transient analysis for heat transfer is performed to get a temperature distribution. And then static analysis is performed with the temperature distribution obtained by heat transfer analysis and the measured residual stresses to get a stress distribution in the structure. Although the residual stress is bigger than thermal stress, thermal stress is more influential on fatigue life.

디젤차량용 통합연료히터의 저온유동성 성능평가 (Low Temperature Fluidity Performance Evaluation of Composited Package Fuel Heater for Diesel Cars)

  • 본 연구에서는 저온유동성 성능검사 시스템 구현을 통해 디젤 차량용 통합형 연료히터의 성능을 평가한다. 저온 유동성 시험장치에서 $+20{\sim}-30^{\circ}C$ 온도범위에 따라 분리형과 통합형 연료히터 성능을 비교하고, 필터 전후에 따라 유압과 시동시간, 히터의 소모전력을 측정한다. 이때 다양한 종류의 필터면적을 사용함으로써 통합형 연료히터와 분리형을 비교한 결과 시동 시간이 23% 향상되었고, 저온시동성능은 19% 정도 향상된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 직접 연결식 초음속 연소기의 지상 시험 장치에 고온, 고압 공기 공급을 위한 연소식 공기 가열기를 설계 및 제작하였으며, 목표 설계점 만족 여부를 검증하기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 연소식 공기 가열기 노즐 출구의 상부 경계, 하부 경계 및 중앙에 쐐기를 설치하여 마하수가 2.0 수준을 만족하는 것을 확인하였으며, 연소실 내부 압력 또한 설계점과 비교하여 만족할만한 수준으로 나타났다. 온도의 경우 열전대의 노출되는 정도와 느린 응답 특성에 의해 측정된 온도의 편차가 크게 나타났다. 이후 연소식 공기 가열기 후방에 격리부를 연결하고 동일한 방법으로 마하수를 측정하였으며, 격리부 출구 중앙의 마하수는 1.8~1.9 정도로 소폭 감소하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 차량용 연료히터의 전기적 성능검사 챔버를 구현한다. 겨울철 저온환경의 영향을 받는 디젤 엔진이 냉각될 경우 일정한 온도 이하로 내려가면 파라핀과 같은 반고체 상태인 왁싱(Waxing)물질을 형성하여 엔진 시동이 잘 걸리지 않게 하는 원인이 된다. 히터내에 센서를 안착시켜 통합한 일체형 통합히터는 시동성 평가에 중요한 요소이며, 성능평가 시험 챔버 시스템을 통해 전기적인 특성을 시험한다. 최근 CRDI(커먼레일) 엔진을 주로 사용함에 따라 연료히터로 디젤오일을 가열하여 점화성능을 향상시키기 위한 연료히터 성능시험은 엔진의 시동성을 향상시키는 중요한 요소이다. 따라서 연료히터의 전기적 성능시험 검사항목은 상온, 극저온, 극고온에서 동작검사, 시험저항 설정에 따른 저항동작 지연시간 및 전류동작 지연시간, 온도변화에 따른 바이메탈 지연시간 검사, 블록히터의 전류 및 저항 검사, 히팅 운전검사 등을 수행하도록 설계한다.

ZnO를 이용한 은 나노와이어 히터의 열 안정성 향상 (Improved Thermal Stability of Ag Nanowire Heaters with ZnO Layer)

  • Transparent film heaters employing silver nanowires (Ag NWs) have attracted increasing attention because of their widespread applications. However, the low thermal resistance of Ag NWs limits the maximum operating temperature of the Ag NW film heater. In this study, Ag NW film heaters with high mechanical and thermal stability were successfully developed. The thermal power-out characteristics of the Ag NW heaters were investigated as a function of the Ag NW density. The results revealed that the prepared flexible Ag NW heater possessed high thermal stability over $190^{\circ}C$ owing to ZnO encapsulation. This indicates that the Ag NW film with excellent thermal stability have remarkably high potential for use as electrodes in film heaters operating at high temperatures.
