초고온 동압을 밭는 제트 베인의 구조 안전성 평가에 대한 연구 (A Study on Structural Safety Evaluation of let Vane under very High Temperature and Dynamic Pressure)

  • 초고온(2700$^{\circ}C$ ) 연소가스에 직접 노출된 상태에서 가스유동에 의한 동압을 받는 추력편향장치용 제트 베인의 열구조 안전성을 평가하기 위하여 내열합금의 초고온 인장시험 및 3차원 비선형 수치해석을 수행하였다. 고온 구조거동을 분석하여 제트 베인의 구조안전성을 평가하였으며 구조해석결과를 지상 연소시험결과와 비교하였다. 구조 및 열 하중의 대부분은 제트 베인 축에 집중되었으며, 축은 1400$^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 구조적으로 안전한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 지상연소시험결과와 구조해석결과의 비교를 통하여 베인 하중과 축의 변위를 기준으로 구조안전계수를 평가하는 것이 등가응력에 의한 평가기준보다 더 유용한 기준으로 판단되었다.

평면 선해리 레이저유도 형광법과 레이래이 분산법을 이용한 연소실내의 OH 및 $O_2$의 2차원적 농도측정 (Two-dimensional $O_2$ and OH Density Measurement Using Tunable KrF Excimer Laser Light a Combustion Bomb via Planar Laser Induced Predissociative Fluorescence and Laser Rayleigh Scattering)

  • Tunable KrF Excimer Laser is used here for measuring OH and $O_2$ density distribustion in an open $H_2$/air premixed flame and in a combustion bomb. Laser Rayleigh Scattering(LRS) and Planar Laser Induced Predissociative Fluorescence(PLIPF) methods are used to obtain two-dimensional images of total and specific densities. Laser Excitation wavelengths are calibrated via flame images and combustion bomb images show good qualitative a greement with theoretical calculation. Furthermore images in a combustion bomb can be developed to study real Spark-Ignition engine combustions. Our experimental images show that there are no more collisional quenching problem at high pressure environment(including atmospheric pressure) using predissociative fluorescence technique. Further development to obtain two-dimensional temperature dustribution is ready to use eventhough it is not reported in this paper.

인젝터 특성에 따른 2중 연료의 RCCI 연소에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on RCCI(Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition) Combustion of Dual-fuel due to Injector Characteristics)

  • This study describes the characteristics of combustion and exhaust emission in the special engine applying a fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) concept with two different energizing type (solenoid and piezoelectric) injectors for diesel injection. A diesel-gasoline mixed dual-fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition concept is demonstrated as a promising method to achieve high thermal efficiency and low emission in internal combustion engines for transportation vehicles. For investigating the combustion characteristics of RCCI, engine experiments were performed in a light-duty diesel engine over a range of injection timing and mixing rate of gasoline in mass. It was investigated that by increasing the nozzle hole diameter, increasing the combustion pressure and the net indicated mean effective pressure. $NO_x$ and soot can be reduced by advancing start of injection in 84 mixing rate of gasoline in mass. The resulting operation showed that light duty engine could achieve 48 percent net indicated efficiency and 191[g/kW-hr] net indicated specific fuel consumption with lower levels of nitrogen oxides and soot.

고온부재의 재질열화에 따른 응력부식균열 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stress Corrosion Cracking Evaluation with Material Degradation of High Temperature Components)

  • It has been reported that high temperature structural components represent the phenomenon of material degradation according to a long term service under high temperature and pressure. Especially, fossile power plant components using the fossil fuel and heavy oil are affected by dewpoint corrosion of $H_2SO_4$produced during a combustion. Therefore, the service materials subjected to high temperature and pressure may occur the stress corrosion cracking. The object of this paper is to investigate SCC susceptibility according to the material degradation of the high temperature structural materials in dewpoint corrosive environment-$H_2SO_4$.The obtained results are summarized as follows : 1) In case of secondary superheater tube, the fractograph of dimple is observed at the concentration of $H_2SO_4$-5%. When the concentration of $H_2SO_4$ is above 10%, the fracture mode is shifted from a transgranular fracture to an quasi-intergranular fracture according to the increment of concentration. 2) In the relationship between [$\Delta$DBTT]$_sp$ and SCC susceptibility, it is confirmed that the greater material degradation degree is, the higher SCC susceptibility is. In addition, it can be known that SP test is useful test method to evaluate SCC susceptibility for high temperature structural components. 3) When [$\Delta$DBTT]$_sp$ is above 17$17^{\circ}C$ the SCC fracture behavior is definitely observed with SCC susceptibility of above 0.4.

  • It is being more serious problems that the pollutant and the greenhouse gas emitted from the internal combustion engines due to the increasing demand of automobiles. To counteract this, as one of the ways has been studied, GDI type engine, which is directly injected into the combustion chamber and burns by a spark ignition that chose the merits of both gasoline engine and diesel engine, was appeared. The combustion phenomena in this GDI engine is known to contribute to combustion stability, fuel consumption reduction and reductions of harmful substances of exhaust gas emission, when the fuel spray of atomization being favorable and the mixture formation being promoted. Accordingly, this study analyzed the affection of ambient temperature and fuel injection pressure to the fuel by investigate the visualization of combustion, combustion pressure and the characteristic of emission, by applying GDI system on the constant combustion chamber. As a result, as the fuel injection pressure increases, the fuel distribution in the combustion chamber becomes uniform due to the increase of penetration and atomization. And when ambient temperatures in the combustion chamber become increase, the fuel evaporation rate being high but the penetration was reduced due to the reduction of volume flux, and confirmed that the optimized fuel injection strategy is highly needed.

연소전 이산화탄소 포집을 위한 N-methyldiethanolamine과 Piperazine 혼합 수용액의 이산화탄소 흡수 (Absorption of CO2 Using Mixed Aqueous Solution of N-methyldiethanolamine with Piperazine for Pre-combustion CO2 Capture)

  • 본 연구에서는 30, 40, 50 wt% MDEA (N-methyldiethanolamine) 수용액을 이용하여 0~50 bar, $40{\sim}80^{\circ}C$의 조업조건에서 이산화탄소 흡수평형실험을 수행하여 연소전 이산화탄소 포집에 적용 가능한 고압조건에 대한 정보를 알고자 하였다. 또한 MDEA의 반응 속도를 증가시키기 위하여 piperazine 5.0~10.0 wt%를 첨가한 후 이산화탄소 흡수실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 수용액 상 MDEA의 농도, 반응 온도가 증가함에 따라 평형 압력이 증가하였으며 반응온도가 높을수록 흡수속도가 증가하였다. Piperazine을 첨가한 MDEA 수용액은 MDEA 40 wt% 단독 흡수제에 비해 초기 반응에서 2.5배에 가까운 반응속도와 16% 가량 증대된 흡수능을 보였다.

PCP/Nitramine/AP 기반 추진제의 연소 특성 연구 (Combustion Properties of PCP/Nitramine/AP Propellants)

  • 본 연구에서는 추력 제어용 추진제 조성 개발을 위해 고 압력지수 추진제를 만들고자 하였다. 프리폴리머로 PCP를 사용하며 니트라민 계열의 산화제인 HMX와 HNIW 기반 추진제를 제조하여 각각의 연소특성을 비교하였다. HMX에 비해 HNIW가 추진제의 연소속도, 비추력 그리고 화염온도에 큰 영향을 준다는 것을 알았다. 또한, AP를 조 산화제로 사용할 경우, 추진제의 연소속도, 비추력 및 화염온도는 미세 AP 함량, 총 고체 함량 그리고 가소제 양이 증가할수록 병행 상승하였으나, 압력지수는 오히려 낮게 나타났다. 그리고, 여러 압력 구간에서 온도에 따른 연소특성 변화를 알아보기 위해 150 psia부터 2,500 psia사이 구간에 대해 PCP/Nitramine/AP 추진제의 연소속도에 대한 온도 민감도를 측정하였다.

고속 고부하 상태의 DISI 엔진에서 메탄올-가솔린 혼합연료의 연료 혼합비와 2단 분사가 엔진 내부유동 및 연소특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Mixing Rate and Multi Stage Injection on the Internal Flow Field and Combustion Characteristics of DISI Engine Using Methanol-gasoline Blended Fuel at High Speed / High Load Condition)

  • Numerical studies were conducted to investigate the internal flow field and combustion characteristics of DISI engine with methanol blended in gasoline. Dual injection was applied and the characteristics were compared to single injection strategy. The amount of the fuel injection was corresponded to air-fuel ratio of each fuel for complete combustion. The preforming model in this study, software STAR-CD was employed for both modeling and solving. The operating speed condition were at 4000 rpm/WOT (Wide open throttle) where the engine was fully warmed. The results of single injection with M28 showed that the uniformity, equivalence ratio, in-cylinder pressure and temperature increased comparing to gasoline (M0). When dual injection was applied, there was no significant change in uniformity and equivalence ratio but the in-cylinder pressure and temperature increased. When M28 fuel and single injection was applied, the CO (Carbon monoxide) and NO (Nitrogen oxides) emission inside the combustion chamber increased approximately 36%, 9% comparing with benchmarking case in cylinder prior to TWC (Three Way Catalytic converter). When dual stage injection was applied, both CO and NO emission amount increased.

Optical and Thermodynamic Modeling of the Interaction Between Long-range High-power Laser and Energetic Materials

  • This study is essential for advancing our knowledge about the interaction between long-range high-power lasers and energetic materials, with a particular emphasis on understanding the response of a 155-mm shell under various surface irradiations, taking into account external factors such as atmospheric disturbances. The analysis addresses known limitations in understanding the use of non-realistic targets and the negligence of ambient conditions. The model employs the three-dimensional level-set method, computer-aided design (CAD)-based target design, and a message-passing interface (MPI) parallelization scheme that enables rapid calculations of the complex chemical reactions of the irradiated high explosives. Important outcomes from interaction modeling include the accurate prediction of the initiation time of ignition, transient pressure, and temperature responses with the location of the initial hot spot within the shell, and the relative magnitude of noise with and without the presence of physical ambient disturbances. The initiation time of combustion was increased by approximately a factor of two with atmospheric disturbance considered, while slower heating of the target resulted in an average temperature rise of approximately 650 K and average pressure increase of approximately 1 GPa compared to the no ambient disturbance condition. The results provide an understanding of the interaction between the high-power laser and energetic target at a long distance in an atmospheric condition.
