신제품개발전략의 유형과 성과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between New Product Development Strategies and New Product Outcomes)

  • The objectives of this research paper are to identify the types of the firm's new product development strategy and their characteristics about business strategy, to examine the effect of each type on new product outcomes, and to explore the contingency variable influencing the relationship between these types and new product outcomes. The result of the research are summarized as follows : First, in terms of both the resource allocation for product innovativeness and technology acquisition method, this study suggests 9 types of the firm's new product development strategies- Type 1 (pursuing low innovative products/relying on external technology), Type 2 (pursuing low innovative products oriented/relying on internal technology), Type 3 (pursuing low innovative products/relying on mixed technology), Type 4 (pursuing high innovative products/relying on internal technology), Type 6(pursuing high innovative products /relying on mixed technology), Type 7 (balancing low and high innovative products/relying on external technology), Type 8 (balancing low and high innovative products/relying on internal technology), Type 9 (balancing low and high innovative products/relying on mixed technology). Second, these 9 types are deeply associated with the firm's business strategic variables such as product differentiation and market differentiation, and exhibit different level of both technical and commercial performance of new products. Finally, the effects of these types on new product outcomes are different according to industrial environment and firms' characteristics with respect to size and technological capability.

기술력 평가항목을 이용한 고활동성 중소기업 판별 (Verification Test of High-activity SMEs Using Technology Appraisal Items)

  • 본 연구는 기술금융에 사용되는 '미래 진보성' 중심의 기술력 평가모형을 이용하여 기업의 고활동성 여부에 대한 사전적(Ex-ante) 판별력 검증을 목적으로 한다. 분석 대상기업을 업종(제조업군/비(非)제조업군)과 업력(창업기업군/비(非)창업기업군)으로 구분한 후 해당 군집의 평균 총자산회전율 2배 이상을 달성한 기업을 고활동성 중소기업으로 정의하였다. 의사결정나무 모형 중 하나인 C5.0 기법을 적용하여 판별모형을 작성한 결과 모든 업종과 업력에서 99% 이상의 분류정확도를 보였으며, 모형의 판별력이 안정적임을 확인하였다. 분석 결과 경영진 전문성, 자본참여도, 자금조달능력 항목은 업종·업력과 무관하게 고활동성 중소기업 여부를 결정하는 중요변수로 확인되었으며, 제조업군에서는 기술경영능력과 기술수명주기 또한 고활동성 중소기업 여부를 결정하는 평가항목임이 확인되었다. 이를 통해 기술력 평가항목을 이용하여 고활동성 중소기업 여부에 대한 사전적 판별 및 정책적 활용에 대한 가능성을 일정부분 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The technology of high-speed electrical machines is particularly relevant to applications involving electrical power generation and high-speed motors with high power density and high efficiency. Due to the development of improved materials for electrical machines, power electronic elements and design technology, the high-speed electrical machines are being rapidly introduced into industrial applications. The introduction of high-speed electrical machines has created a new market for electrical machines and will, as an application, contribute to the development of modern electrical machines. This paper deals with applications and market trends and KERI's activities in high-speed electrical machines.

  • It can be acquired the high effective productivity through of high speed, precision of machine tools, and then, machine tools will be got a competitive power. Industrially advanced countries already developed that the high speed feed is 50m/min using the high speed ball screw. Also, a lot of problems have happened the feed and servo drive system. It is necessary to study about the character of positioning accuracy, heat generation and high speed/accuracy control for feed/servo drive system of high speed/accuracy. In this study, we make use of high performance vertical machine center with a ball screw of large-scale-lead. Also, we'll apply the high-speed/accuracy control technology in this part of feedforward control, multi-buffering block size, etc. Using the design of the mechanical element and high-speed precision control, the basic design concept can be established.

Validating a Structural Model of Using Mobile Technology for Learning among High School Students

  • Despite the existing body of literature focusing on the effects of one-to-one mobile technology integration in teaching and learning, research discussed that the determinants of mobile technology acceptance and use in secondary school settings are still unclear. Hence, this study examined the extent to which determinants influence high school students' behavioral intention to use one-to-one mobile technology for learning. The newly proposed model incorporated three additional constructs beyond those in the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model, including computer self-efficacy, attitude toward using technology and computer anxiety, as suggested by recent literature. Data were collected from 247 U.S. Midwestern high school students who participated in an online survey. Using a structural equation modeling approach, this study established construct validity for the nine-construct extended UTAUT model to assess high school students' intention to use mobile technology. The results of structural relations in the proposed model showed that their behavioral intention to use mobile technology was significantly predicted by social influence and attitude toward using technology. Also, their strong behavioral intention and facilitating conditions were associated with frequent use of mobile technology in learning. Discussion, implications, and conclusion were addressed in this study.

Modeling and Simulation of New Encoding Schemes for High-Speed UHF RFID Communication

  • In this paper, we present novel high-speed transmission schemes for high-speed ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio-frequency identification communication. For high-speed communication, tags communicate with a reader using a high-speed Miller (HS-Miller) encoding and multiple antennas, and a reader communicates with tags using extended pulse-interval encoding (E-PIE). E-PIE can provide up to a two-fold faster data rate than conventional pulse-interval encoding. Using HS-Miller encoding and orthogonal multiplexing techniques, tags can achieve a two- to three-fold faster data rate than Miller encoding without degrading the demodulation performance at a reader. To verify the proposed transmission scheme, the MATLAB/Simulink model for high-speed backscatter based on an HS-Miller modulated subcarrier has been designed and simulated. The simulation results show that the proposed transmission scheme can achieve more than a 3 dB higher BER performance in comparison to a Miller modulated subcarrier.

Design Considerations of Resonant Network and Transformer Magnetics for High Frequency LLC Resonant Converter

  • This paper proposes the design considerations of resonant network and transformer magnetics for 500 kHz high switching frequency LLC resonant converter. The high power density can be effectively achieved by adopting high switching frequency which allows small size passive components in the converter. The design methodology of magnetizing inductance is derived for zero voltage switching (ZVS) condition, and the design methodology of the transformer and output capacitance is derived to achieve high power density at high operating frequency. Moreover, the structure of transformer is analyzed to obtain the proper inductance value for high switching operation. To verify the proposed design methodology, simulation and experimental results will be presented including temperature of passive and active components, and power conversion efficiency to evaluate dominant power loss. In addition, the validity of magnetics design will be evaluated with operating waveforms of the prototype converter.

The Research and Application of Innovative High Efficient Construction Technologies in Super High Rise Steel Structure Building

  • The super high rise building construction is characterized by a large quantity of engineering works and structural components, high demanding of construction technology and complex cross operations. As the height of super high rise building increases, the construction difficulties increase, it is challenging the steel structural building construction technology. In this paper, the key technologies in the construction of Chinese modern super high rise steel structure building have been studied. The innovative tower crane supporting frame suspension disassembly technology has been developed to allow the crane supporting frame to turnover in the air without occupying materials stockyard. A new self-elevating platform technique which is capable of striding over structural barriers has been developed. This new technology allows the platform to be self-elevated along variable cross section column with a maximum 600 mm size change. A new automatic submerged arc welding technology has also been developed to ensure the process continuity and quality stability of welding job on the construction site.

Device and Circuit Performance Issues with Deeply Scaled High-K MOS Transistors

  • In this paper we look at the effect of Fringe-Enhanced-Barrier-lowering (FEBL) for high-K dielectric MOSFETs and the dependence of FEBL on various technological parameters (spacer dielectrics, overlap length, dielectric stack, S/D junction depth and dielectric thickness). We show that FEBL needs to be contained in order to maintain the performance advantage with scaled high-K dielectric MOSFETs. The degradation in high-K dielectric MOSFETs is also identified as due to the additional coupling between the drain-to-source that occurs through the gate insulator, when the gate dielectric constant is significantly higher than the silicon dielectric constant. The technology parameters required to minimize the coupling through the high-K dielectric are identified. It is also shown that gate dielectric stack with a low-K material as bottom layer (very thin $SiO_2$ or oxy-nitride) will be helpful in minimizing FEBL. The circuit performance issues with high-K MOS transistors are also analyzed in this paper. An optimum range of values for the dielectric constant has been identified from the delay and the energy dissipation point of view. The dependence of the optimum K for different technology generations has been discussed. Circuit models for the parasitic capacitances in high-K transistors, by incorporating the fringing effects, have been presented.
