Objectives: Since 2013, the Students' Emotional and Behavioral Screening Test (SEBT) has been conducted annually for 1st grade and 4th grade elementary school students, 1st year middle school students, and 1st year high school students. The SEBT has been considered to have effectiveness and strength for screening high risk students who have a strong possibility of harboring emotional or behavioral problems in school. Therefore, in this study, we conducted an investigation into the awareness of the SEBT based on the rating score of the parents and teachers to determine its future direction and management. Methods: A total of 731 parents and 149 teachers participated in this study. Each participant completed a self-administered questionnaire on their awareness of the SEBT. Results: 428 (58.5%) parents and 99 (66.4%) teachers rated their overall satisfaction at more than 4 points out of a total of 5 points. The test reliability was rated at more than 4 points out of a total of 5 points by 52.1% of the parents (n=381) and 47.7% of the teachers (n=71). Conclusion: Both parents and teachers consider the SEBT to be highly satisfactory and reliable.

Objectives: An outbreak of norovirus occurred at a high school in Gyeongju city in 2009. An epidemiological investigation was carried out to examine the infection source and the transmission route of norovirus, and to prevent a recurrence. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted for 520 male students and 8 food handlers. Rectal swabs were examined in 21 symptomatic students and the 8 food handlers by Gyeongsangbukdo Government Public Institute of Health & Environment, and an environmental investigation was performed. A case-control study was used to evaluate the association between risk factors and disease. Results: The attack rate was 21.3% (111/520) between January 29 and February 10, and norovirus GII was isolated from 12 of 21 students. Food handlers had no symptoms and their stool samples were negative. The case-control study revealed that seasoned soy bean sprouts {odds ratio (OR): 2.542, 95% CI=1.315-4.915} and drinking water from the purifiers in the cafeteria (OR: 2.854, 95% CI=1.107-7.358) supplied on February 3 were significant risk factors for the outbreak. Water pipes and waste pipes were located in the same place where was filled with some water and trace of high water level was detected. Conclusions: The major risk factors for this norovirus outbreak were presumed to be the contaminated seasoned soy bean sprouts and drinking water from the purifiers in the cafeteria. More strict personal and environmental hygiene need to be enforced to prevent such outbreaks.
Adolescents whose families receive public assistance are primary interest in the article because they experience disproportionate shares of the burden of poverty and psychosocial stress and are at substantially high risk. To explain the psychosocial stresses of high-risk adolescents in poverty, this study analyzed the inter-relations and interactions of major variables: 1) stress related life condition, 2)individual & environmental resources, 3) emotional, behavioral, and academic adjustment. Data came from the survey of 351 students living in the families receiving public assistance. The major findings were as follows. High-risk adolescents in poverty suffered from chronic stresses related life conditions, including family environmental stress, financial & medical stress and stigmatic stress. As the effects of stress increased, depression/anxiety and delinquency of poor youth increased. The psychosocial adjustment of poor youth at risk was most effected by the stress resulted from family environment. Though they were suffered from stresses related poor environment, adolescents in poverty adjusted well, if they had individual and environmental resources including self-esteem democratic parenting and supportive school climate. In conclusion, this study confirmed that emotional, behavioral, and academic adjustment of adolescents in poverty was affected by various stresses from life conditions and individual and environmental resources. In order to improve adjustment of poor youth at risk, life conditions have to be improved and psychosocial resources to be increased. These findings have provided practical implications for social workers helping high-risk adolescents in poverty.

The study subjects consisted of preschool children(PC), elementary school children(EC), high school students(HS), college students(CS), and adults over 30 years old living in Seoul and the surrounding areas. The subjects over 30 years old were classfied to 30-49 years, 50-69 years, and over 70 years. A dietary survey was conducted using 24-hour recall method and data were collected from 2392 subjects. The dietary risks for chronic degenerative disease such as food sources of fat consumption, high cholesterol intake, low dietary fiber intake, and low calcium intake and high protein intake were analyzed. Younger subjects had more animal fat proportion than older subjects did. HS and CS had the least fat proportion from fishes and shellfishes. Each mean cholesterol intake of PC, EC, HS, and CS was over 300mg/day, and HS load the highest level of 415mg/day. Cholesterol density of the diet of PC was the highest of 175mg/1000kcal and the level decreased when the age increased. The subjects consuming cholesterol over 100 mg/1000kca1 were about 70% of PC and HS. More than 20% of PC, EC, and HS consumed calcium under 75% of RDA with protein consumption over 125% of RDA. Dietary fiber intakes were 18g for HS, CS, 30-49 years, and 50 ∼ 69 years, 14g for EC and over 70 years, and 12g for PC. Ninety percent of PC and EC, 80% of HS and CS, and 70% of tole subjccts over 30years consumed dietary fiber under the level of 10g/1000kca1. The major food sources of dietary fiber were vegetables and grains. From these results, children and adolescents had ricks for chronic degenerative diseases on all the analyzed items. The results of this study would provide the basic information for development of dietary interventions to improve diet find health.
Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the health education conducted for adolescents in the past 10 years by 5-year cycles. Methods: This study was conducted, targeting 200,008 students attending junior high school and high school, using the data of the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey in 2005, 2010 and 2015. The collected data was analyzed by Rao-Scott $x^2$ test, using SPSS program. Results: The overall implementation of health education has increased over the past decade, showing statistically significant differences between 2005, 2010 and 2015 (p<.05). The type of health education given the most was sex education (68.9~74.5%) in 2005 and 2010 and safety education (83.8%) in 2015, whereas the least given health education was personal hygiene education (18.2%) in 2005 and oral health education (22.0~24.0%) in 2010 and 2015. In addition, the implementation rate of health education was statistically significantly lower in high school than in middle school in all three years, 2005, 2010 and 2015. As the grades got higher, the implementation rate of health education showed a statistically significant decrease (p<.05). Conclusion: Health education for adolescents needs to be provided equally. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare an education policy for students to benefit from adequate health.
Purpose: This study was done to construct and test a structural model to explain health risk behavior of late adolescents. Methods: Data for this study were secondary data from the 2010 Korea Adolescent Health Survey based and 3,675 high school students who participated. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 19.0 programs. Results: After 7 lines were removed, fitness statistics for the hypothetical model were appropriate (${\chi}^2$=559.13, p<.001, GFI=.98, SRMR=.03, RMSEA=.04, NFI=.88, IFI=.90, CFI=.90, TLI=.86, AIC=671.13). The result showed that drinking-smoking is directly affected by 5 variables (32.5%), obesity is directly affected by 2 variables (0.7%), lack of physical activity is directly affected by 5 variables (22.2%), skipping of breakfast is directly affected by 3 variables (11.9%), improper sleep is directly affected by 3 variables (7.5%), and psychological adaptation is directly affected by 4 variables (26.8%). Conclusion: The results of this study, indicate that late adolescents' health risk behavior is affected by many factors with complicate correlations suggesting further study compare youth health risk behaviors in a variety of environments.

A total of 1,020 students of a vocational high schook and a 216 adolescents of a special groups(the public institution that consisted with a delinquent young man) completed the questionnaires(risk behavior, 5 protective factors) of compiled by this researcher. The protective factors have selected based on the various prior studies analyzed with adolescent's risk behavior a family functioning, a father(a mother) each and child communication, a self efficacy, and a social support. Statistics appled for the data analysis are Chisqure analysis, two-way ANOVA, and Standard Discrimination analysis. The results of this study are as follows. First, the special group is higher than the general group in the rate of runaway, smoking, and sexual deviant behavior. Second, the protective factors are not action in the special group have experienced delinquency, but are only action in the general group consisted with the students of a vocational high schools. This means that the protective factors discriminating the participation of the risk behaviors, and blocking out the intervention of a problem behavior in the general adolescents. Although each protective factor influence to different according to each risk behavior, a role of a parent-child communication, a family functioning, and self-efficacy high orderly. Finally, discussed based on the previous studies that the protective factors moderate the negative influence of risk factors, offset the connection between a risk behavior and a. problem behavior, and improve and a resilience and the quality of life of the adolescents.

This research analyzes the economic attitude and economic literacy of college students that attended college or graduated within one year. The study measures diverse traits of economics, such as economic rationality, economic interest, risk aversion, and competitive spirit or selfishness. Results show that students enrolled in economics courses have an interest in economics, received high grades, and graduates have a relatively higher level of economic rationality. Second, students who have taken courses in economics showed a higher level of interest in economics. Thus, the correlation between such education and students' interest cannot be denied. Third, regardless of their experience in taking economics courses, the level of knowledge in economics is low for community college students. Although the rationality and interest of those students enrolled in economics courses are higher compared to students not enrolled in such courses, it does not play a pivotal role in enhancing their economic intelligence. This shows that the current education in economics positively influences an individual's economic traits but does not necessarily generate knowledge in economics. Education should focus more on associating essential economic concepts with real-world issues.
