본 논문에서는 비접촉 충전 에너지 전달을 위한 포워드 ZVS MRC(Zero Voltage Switching Multi Resonant Converter)를 제안하였다.
The power density and heat dissipation rate per unit area of the telecommunication equipment have been increased with the technology development in the footprint of telecommunication hardware. A proper heat dissipation method from the PCB module is very important to allow reliable operation of its electronic component. In this study, a hybrid air-conditioner for the telecommunication equipment room was designed to save energy and obtain system reliability. For high outdoor temperatures, the hybrid system operates in the vapor compression cycle, while, for low outdoor temperatures, the hybrid system works in the secondary fluid cooling cycle with no operation of the compressor. The performance of the hybrid air-conditioner was measured by varying outdoor and indoor temperatures. The hybrid air-conditioner yielded 50% energy saving compared with the conventional refrigeration system when the mode switch temperature was $8.3^{\circ}C$.

Internet of Things (IoT) connects several objects with embedded sensors and they are capable of exchanging information between devices to create a smart environment. IoT smart devices have limited resources, such as batteries, computing power, and bandwidth, but comprehensive sensing causes severe energy restrictions, lowering data quality. The main objective of the proposal is to build a hybrid protocol which provides high data quality and reduced energy consumption in IoT sensor network. The hybrid protocol gives a flexible and complete solution for sensor selection problem. It selects a subset of active sensor nodes in the network which will increase the data quality and optimize the energy consumption. Since the unused sensor nodes switch off during the sensing phase, the energy consumption is greatly reduced. The hybrid protocol uses Dijkstra's algorithm for determining the shortest path for sensing data and Ant colony inspired variable path selection algorithm for selecting active nodes in the network. The missing data due to inactive sensor nodes is reconstructed using enhanced belief propagation algorithm. The proposed hybrid method is evaluated using real sensor data and the demonstrated results show significant improvement in energy consumption, data utility and data reconstruction rate compared to other existing methods.
This paper deals with actual optical data from rural as well as urban areas in a nationwide study captured with Fisheye cameras. Simultaneously data was collected (of the receiving power density) from the mobile communications satellite N-STAR. The visibility of the satellite is easily determined by checking the value of the pixels in the binarized fisheye image of its position. The process of determining the visible satellite is automatically performed. Based on the analyses of the field data measured in Japan, we are expecting HEOs (Highly inclined Elliptical Orbiters) that would reduce blockage in the extreme northern region of Wakkanai City well as in the most crowded urban area, in Tokyo Ginza. In case of HEOs operation, the elevation angle will improve from 37 with N-STAR GEO to 75 degrees. HEOs could replace 5G/Ka-band or support in rural areas where broadband circuit is not available. We are proposing combination operations with HEOs and 5G/Ka-band to solve blockage problems, because HEOs can keep line-of-sight propagation with high elevation angle for long duration. In such operations, the communications profile on the vehicle based on actual optical data will be very useful to predict blockages and to select/switch a suitable circuit.

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) testing for human body model tests is an essential part of the reliability evaluation of electronic/electrical devices and components. However, global environmental concerns have called for the need to replace the mercury-wetted relay switches, which have been used in ESD testers. Therefore, herein, we propose an ESD tester using metal oxide semiconductor-controlled thyristor (MCT) devices with a significantly higher rising rate of anode current (di/dt) characteristics. These MCTs, which have a breakdown voltage beyond 3000 V, were developed through an in-house foundry. As a replacement for the existing mercury relays, the proposed ESD tester with the developed MCT satisfies all the requirements stipulated in the JS-001 standard for conditions at or below 2000 V. Moreover, unlike traditional relays, the proposed ESD tester does not generate resonance; therefore, no additional circuitry is required for resonant removal. To the best of our knowledge, the proposed ESD tester is the first study to meet the JS-001 specification by applying a new switch instead of an existing mercury-wetted relay.
본 논문에서는 DTMOS(Dynamic Threshold voltage MOSFET) 스위칭 소자를 사용한 고 효율 전원 제어 장치 (PMIC)를 제안하였다.
