This paper proposed a versatile algorithm based on a dual-tree complex wavelet transform for intensifying the visual aspect of medical images. First, the decomposition of the input image into a high sub-band and low-sub-band image is done. Further, to improve the resolution of the resulting image, the high sub-band image is interpolated using Lanczos interpolation. Also, contrast enhancement is performed by singular value decomposition (SVD). Finally, the image reconstruction is achieved by using an inverse wavelet transform. Then, the Gaussian filter will improve the visual quality of the image. We have collected images from the hospital and the internet for quantitative and qualitative analysis. These images act as a reference image for comparing the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm with the existing state-of-the-art. We have divided the proposed algorithm into several stages: preprocessing, contrast enhancement, resolution enhancement, and visual quality enhancement. Both analyses show the proposed algorithm's effectiveness compared to existing methods.

Internal replaceable electronic module substitutions can impact EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) qualification testing and results if EMC testing is conducted at the cabinet level. The impact of component substitutions on EMC qualification results therefore should be evaluated. If a qualitative evaluation is not adequate to ensure that the modified product will not impact the cabinet level EMC qualification results, a new qualification testing should be conducted. Component level retesting should be conducted under electromagnetically equivalent conditions with the cabinet level test. This paper analyzes the propagation of conducted susceptibility test waveforms in a representative cabinet and evaluates the impact of component substitutions on cabinet level EMC qualification results according to the location of the replacement items. A guideline for a qualitative evaluation of the impact of component substitutions is described based on the propagation of the conducted susceptibility test waveforms. A module level test method is also described based on an analysis of the shielding effectiveness of the cabinet.

Water gas shift(WGS) is an important step in fuel process for fuel cells, and improperness of commercial WGS catalysts for use in fuel cell systems has prompted numerous researches on noble metal catalysts. A selected noble metal catalyst for water gas shift reaction(WGS) was prepared with various metal loadings. The prepared catalysts were tested under two feeding conditions. At moderate residence time, carbon monoxide conversion was much higher on the noble metal catalysts as compared to commercial high-temperature shift catalyst. Effects of metal loading were examined by activity tests at short residence time. Higher metal loading effected higher reaction rate. The kinetic data was fitted to simple reaction equations and effectiveness factor was estimated. The results suggest the necessity of a structural design for the highly active noble metal catalysts.

본 연구는 컨설팅산업에 있어서 첫째, CEO의 거래적 변혁적 리더십이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 둘째, 개인주의 성향에 의한 집단구분에 따라 CEO의 리더십에 대한 인식과 조직유효성에 차이가 있는지를 분석한다. 실증분석 결과 CEO의 거래적 변혁적 리더십은 조직유효성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 개인주의 성향이 강한 컨설팅조직이 낮은 컨설팅조직에 비해서 카리스마 리더십에 대한 인식에서 차이가 있었다.

In this study, the vibration screening effectiveness of barriers which can isolate structures from ground-transmitted vibration generated by harmonic forces is performed. For high frequencies, the vibration screening effectiveness of barriers is analyzed from field tests, and compared with the results from numerical analyses using a commercial program, ANSYS. Using these numerical analysis procedures, the effectiveness for vibration with various low frequencies is predicted. The frequency analysis tests of surface waves are performed in order to estimate the dynamic material properties of soil for 100 Hz, 150 Hz, 200 Hz, and 250 Hz. Three-dimensional solid elements are used in order to consider the diffraction of waves in all directions. Spring-damper combination elements are used in order to avoid the reflection of waves on the boundary. The results of numerical analysis agree with those of field tests. From the results of this numerical analyses, the reduction of vibration for low frequencies induced by the traffic loads can be predicted.

Rotor of rotating machinery is the highly damaged part. Fault of 7 different types was confirmed as the main causes of rotor damage from the pump failure history data in domestic and U.S. nuclear. For each fault types, simulation testing was performed and fault signals were collected form the sensors. To calculate the statistical parameters of time-domain & frequency-domain, measured signals were analyzed by using the discrete wavelet transform, fast fourier transform, statistical analysis. Total 84 parameters were obtained. And Effectiveness factor were used to evaluate the discrimination capacity of each parameter. From the effectiveness factor, RAW-P4/RAW-P7/WT2-NNL/WT2-EE/WT1-P1 showed high ranking. Finally, these parameters were selected as the feature parameters of intelligent fault diagnostics for rotor.

In this study, a new kind of instrument for measuring the magnetic shielding effectiveness (MSE) was developed using a double yoke; one a magnetizing yoke and the other a sensing yoke. Using the developed instrument, the MSE could be measured for a steel sheet specimen in the ELF range, where the magnetic permeability contributes to the MSE at low frequencies and eddy currents contributes to the MSE high frequencies with < 0.1 dB reproducibility. The developed measuring method can be applied to quality control in a steel sheet company producing EMI/EMC shielding materials.

The purpose of this study was to verify working hypotheses of effective management proposed by Sharpe and Winter(1991). For this purpose Managerial Effectiveness Scale(MES) developed and investigated relation with family life satisfaction. MES was divided into four conditions, performance-condition, timing, high level, and middle range and was included twenty-five managerial elements. Conditions of MES were highly correlated one another. It was assumed that four conditions related to promote synergistic effectiveness of managerial actions. Also, MES was positively related with family life satisfaction. It was suggested that effective management actions should improve should improve satisfaction of family life in general, and so family needs and goals should actualize through effective managerial-processes.

A great number of firms have used overall equipments effectiveness index to evaluate the effect of TPM activities. Overall equipments effectiveness is very useful index to emphasize the need of decreasing equipments loss time when TPM system is first implemented. And it is powerful to evaluate prductivity growth rate according to TPM activities when GNP growth rate is high level. However, during the depression period, the increase of overall equipments effectiveness does not contribute fully to the cost down, the reason is that demand is falling. In this paper, we present the rectified TPM activities which can be applied to the depression period, and analysis the improvement activities of production part how to contribute to the cost down,

The electrical conductivity during vulcanization process was measured as a function of time for the system of TiC loaded styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) composites. The phenomenon of negative and positive temperature coefficients of conductivity and its conduction mechanism were also studied for the SBR polymeric composites. The current-voltage characteristics of the polymeric composites were non-linear in high voltage and showed a switching effect. The effects of temperature on the thermal conductivity and effective dielectric constant were measured. The measured parameters were found to be dependent on TiC concentration. The electromagnetic wave shielding (EMS) of the SBR-TiC polymeric composite was also examined. The SBR filled with TiC could be expected to be promising novel smart polymeric composites for self-electrical heating, temperature sensor, time delay switching, and electro-magnetic wave shielding effectiveness.
