Agastachis Herba has been used for the treatment of poor appetite, nausea diarrhea and distension of chest. Pogostemonis Herba has been used for the treatment of fever caused by heart stroke, poor appetite, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Pattern recognition for the analysis of Agastachis Herba and Pogostemonis Herba was conducted using PHLC method. Rosmarinic acid from Agastachis Herba was detected at retention time of 14.996 min and quantitative analysis of rosmarinic acid showed average range of $0.183{\pm}0.183%$ (n=4). Rosmarinic acid was not detected from Pogostemonis Herba and we distinguished two medicinal plants by HPLC method.

Objective : This study investigated results of treatment of Atopic Dermatitis(AD) patients diagnosed as damp-heat type with herbal medicine and wet dreesing. Method : Six AD subjects diagnosed as damp-heat type were selected from the outpatient department of East-West Neo Medical Center in the period of Dec. 2006 to Feb. 2007. Each subject was treated with herbal medicine and wet dressing. Severity Scoring of Atopic Dermatitis(SCORAD) was used to evaluate the effect of treatment and pictures were taken of the Atopic dermatitis lesions. Result & Conclusion : We observed improvement on SCORAD score, especially intensity score of damp-heat type when they were treated with herbal medicine and wet dressing. However, it is less effective and AD often recurs in case of chronic adult-type AD. In addition, nipple eczema in some patients has showed a tendency to improve slowly and recur easily compared to other lesions.

Objectives: The purpose of this paper is to report the effects of herbal medicine on spontaneous pregnancy with premature ovarian failure. Methods: The 28-year-old patient who was diagnosed premature ovarian failure was treated with herbal medicine (Hyangbujapalmul-tang-gagam), acupuncture and moxibustion. Results: After the treatment, the symptoms of premature ovarian failure such as hot flushes, sweats were improved. The patient recovered menstruation and achieved spontaneous pregnancy. Conclusions: This case shows that Korean medical treatment including herbal medicine has effect on treating infertile female with premature ovarian failure.

The sudden deafness is generaly defined as sensorineural hearing loss without definite cause. The medical treatment of this disease is purposed on hemokinetic improvement and anti-inflammatory action. There are various prognoses such as perfect recovery or loss of hearing. The symptoms are easily redeveloped by fatigue or psychological stress. We treated two patients, who diagnosed as the flare of Liver fire and the flare based on insufficiency of Kidney Yin, of sudden deafness with herbal medication, acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal acupuncture. The symptoms were improved after three or four times of treatment.

Background: The aim of this study was to determine the clinical effects of complex Korean medicine therapy for tinnitus associated with ear fullness, depression, and anxiety. Case Report: A 52-year-old female patient suffering from tinnitus with ear fullness, depression, and anxiety was treated with acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and herbal medicine. We used the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and a Verbal Numerical Rating Score (VNRS) to assess the patient's symptoms. The administration of the acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and herbal medicine improved the ear fullness, depression and anxiety symptoms. No side effects were observed during the treatment. Conclusion: The study findings suggest that complex Korean medicine therapy, such as acupuncture, pharmacopuncture, and herbal medicine, may be effective for the treatment of tinnitus associated with ear fullness, depression, and anxiety.

Objectives : To assess and compare the effectiveness of acupuncture treatment of depression in epilepsy children and adolescent's parents. Methods : 20 cases of depression in epilepsy children and adolescent's parents were investigated in Southern TCM Centre, Southern University College, Malaysia. Subjects were randomly divided into two groups; Acupuncture treatment group and Herbal medication treatment group. Family relationships questionnaires and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale were used before, after 4 weeks and 8 weeks treatments in order to investigate the effectiveness of treatment. Results : After 4 weeks Acupuncture treatment group showed significant reduction in the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. On the other hand, after 8 weeks both groups showed significant reduction in Hamilton Depression Rating Scale. Conclusions : The result suggests that the effectiveness of Acupuncture treatment is comparable with treat of Herbal medication treatment to reduce parent's Hamilton Depression Rating Scale.

A number of synthetic antiepileptic drugs are available in practice, however their effectiveness does not grip true with the entire population suffering from epilepsy. Traditional systems of medicine are popular in developing countries and most of the population relies on traditional medicines for their primary health care need. Medicinal plants to be an important source of traditional medicines. Various plants are used for the treatment of epilepsy in traditional system of medicines and various plants are yet to be scientifically investigated. Phyto-constituents have been the basis of treatment of human diseases including epilepsy. Herbal products are extensively used for the treatment of many diseases worldwide and where allopathic fails or has severe side effects. Psycho neural drugs are also have very serious side effects like physical dependence, tolerance, deterioration of cognitive function and effect on respiratory, digestive and immune system. So the treatments through herbal medicines are widely used across the world due to their wide applicability and therapeutic efficacy with least side effects, which in turn has accelerated the research regarding natural therapy. In this review we have summarized some herbal anti-epileptics.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to present two case reports on the treatments of psoriasis with qi deficiency. Methods: We administered herbal medicine to two patients who showed psoriasis with overwork and evaluated the results by Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI). Results: After the treatment two patients showed improvements in PASI. PASI of patient 1 changed from 11 to 1.6; patient 2 from 10.8 to 1. Conclusions: The results suggest that herbal medicine can be an effective treatment for psoriasis who has overwork.

Objectives: This study was performed to assess whether herbal medicine and acupuncture is effective on clinical pregnancy. Methods: From february 2013 to july 2013, a prospective analysis study was performed in 6 patients after taking her medicine and acupuncture treatment. Results: After treatment, one patients naturally became pregnance and one patients became pregnance after in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer (IVF-ET). Conclusions: This study suggests that herbal medicine and acupuncture treatment shows possibility to increasing pregnancy rates.
