This study identified convergent validity and discriminant validity of measurement variables by factor analysis using Spss program and tested covariance measurement model including latent variables such as the website attributes (interactivity, search and visual information of website), shopping values(utilitarian and hedonic value) and attitude toward website by AMOS program. The data were collected from a sample of 271 internet shopper of university students(male: 82, female: 189). They visited the website for apparel shopping and, after searching a casual clothing which they wanted to buy, requested to answer the questionnaire. The results were as follows: Variables that reduce validity were deleted in the several steps of factor analysis and initial measurement model testing. Final measurement model was constructed by valid variables was accepted. This measurement model will be input for testing causal research model that can explain how attributes of the website influences on consumer attitude toward the website.

The necessity to understand shopping orientation is increasing. Yet, there has been few research that investigated the conceptual structure of clothing shopping orientation[CSO]. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop the conceptual structure of CSO. For that purpose, both documentary and empirical researches were conducted. The documentary research was conducted to develop a theoretical structure model as a basis for exploring the conceptual structure of CSO. The empirical research was conducted to identify and modify the theoretical model so as to develop a conceptual structure model. The data was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and Pearson's correlation analysis. As a result, a conceptual structure model of CSO was developed. The model consisted of three hierarchical levels of dimensions; upper-dimensions, middle-dimensions and lower-dimensions. The upper-dimensions were composed of 'economic', 'hedonic', and 'convenient' dimensions. Each upper-dimension consisted of middle-dimensions and lower-dimensions. Confirmatory factor analysis was executed to assess the fitness and cross validity of the structure model.

This study investigated how consumer's uncertainty avoidance affect purchase deferral intention when purchasing high-involved products (i.e. laptops) in online shopping, and we looked at whether utilitarian/hedonic consumption value has a moderating effect in this relationship. Results showed the higher the uncertainty avoidance, the higher the deferral intention. Also, only the utilitarian consumption value had moderating effect in this relationship. This means that in an information overload situation like online shopping, consumers are more likely to delay their purchase intention when they have more uncertainty avoidance. Thus, to prevent this purchase delay, marketers should selectively present relative product information, strategically emphasize the importance of certain product attribution to reduce consumers' uncertainty of the product or highlight the utilitarian values of product attributes that are expected to have a significant impact on decision making.
Non-contact judgment and evaluation for products are increasingly needed along with a rapid environmental change in fashion that sows urgency in the need to implement services that allows users to judge and experience a tactile sense in a fashion product without actual contact. Technological development is required to provide users with syn-aesthetic experiences that integrate the visual, tactile and the auditory. There is also a need to conduct research to increase immersion that provides users with ICT-related experiences communicated through fashion images. The study analyzed demands for haptic communication technology by Korean users in immersive VR fashion product shopping. Accordingly, it defined haptic communication through literature research, investigated immersion in the VR environment and conducted in-depth interviews for haptic communication applicable to VR shopping. Findings show that hedonic reactions by fantasy, emotion and fun function are an important motive in selecting VR shopping. VR fashion product shopping steps were divided into 4: move to store, search in store, search of product and purchase based on offline store shopping experience. It defined the haptic communication by steps and analyzed the types of the haptic feedback to be implemented. The study results provide basic data for developing haptic communication technology that can enhance e a sense of the presence and immersion experiences that can help lay a groundwork for pilot studies on the convergence of the virtual and the real.
Purpose - The objective of this study is to verify whether there are differences between Korean and Chinese consumers in the importance of the attributes such as shopping value and loyalty in social commerce. With the purpose of finding out these differences, the following questions are set up as research questions. First, will there be a difference between Korea and China in the importance of attributes of social commerce? Second, will there be a difference between Korean and Chinese consumers in shopping value? Third, will there be a difference between Korean and Chinese consumers in their loyalty? Research design, data, and methodology - The researchers collected data through self-administered questionnaires from Korean and Chinese consumers who had used social commerce within the past six months before answering the questionnaire. First, for social commerce users in Korea, comprising male and female university students in Chungcheong, a questionnaire was circulated. For social commerce users in China, university students within Beijing were surveyed. Responses to 336 questionnaires were used, excluding those with no answers or unreliable answers. Data coding and data cleaning were used. SPSS 18.0 was used. First, exploratory factor analysis is done to verify the validity of testing tools, and Cronbach's α coefficient is used to verify credibility. For factor analysis, the Varimax method is used. To verify the internal consistency reliability of each factor, the Cronbach's α coefficient is used to verify the credibility. Second, a T-test is done to verify differences between Korean and Chinese consumers for the importance of attributes. Third, ANOVA (Analysis of variance) is done to verify differences between Korean and Chinese consumers in shopping value and loyalty. Results - When Korean and Chinese consumers use social commerce, first, the importance of the attributes of social commerce is affected by four factors; playfulness and economic factors are more important to Korean consumers than Chinese consumers. As for informativeness factors, including product information and quality, and buyer comments, there was no confirmed difference between Korean and Chinese consumers. The convenience factor is more important to Chinese consumers than Korean consumers. Second, the factors affecting shopping value for Korean and Chinese consumers were hedonic shopping value and rational shopping value. To see the difference between Korean and Chinese consumers in shopping value factors, a t-test is conducted. As a result, in the rational shopping value factors of social commerce, Korean consumers scored higher than did Chinese consumers. These results were verified to be meaningful through statistics. In the hedonic shopping value factor of social commerce, Korean consumers scored higher than Chinese consumers. These results showed a significant difference. Third, loyalty in social commerce is higher for Chinese consumers than for Korean consumers. However, there is no difference in loyalty depending on sex. Conclusions - These results will hopefully be valuable and used in the future by Korean companies that wish to enter the Chinese social commerce market.

This study tested relationship between consumer's motivation for mobile shopping and their value of shopping, satisfaction, and repurchase intention. The result of the analysis deduced four factors in motivation for mobile shopping-: ubiquity, convenience, impulsiveness, and economic feasibility. The results indicated that motivation for mobile shopping and consumers' value of shopping have a significant influence on each other. Specifically, impulsiveness had a considerable influence on hedonic shopping value, whereas convenience had a significant influence on utilitarian shopping value. In addition, motivation for mobile shopping and value of shopping had a significant influence on consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention. To put it concretely, among the motives of mobile shopping, ubiquity is found to be the factor influencing consumer satisfaction and repurchase intention the most. Lastly, consumers' shopping value influences consumer satisfaction and revisiting intention significantly. This result provides useful base data for establishing distinctive marketing strategies in the rapidly growing mobile shopping market.

The purpose of this study was to identify the difference on the consumer's cognitive response, emotional and behavioral response in regard of the in-store shopping environment according to their apparel shopping orientation. The subjects of this study were consumers who finished shopping in the stores, and 300 questionnaires were completed. Data collected in this survey were analyzed by using Factor analysis, Cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA and Duncan test as a post identification. The results were as follows; 1. A significant difference was found on cognitive responses in regard of the in-store environment, such as a store atmosphere, salespeople, the assortment of products, and the fashion of products, according to types of apparel shopping orientation. The hedonic shopping type tended to have the higher evaluation toward a store atmosphere and salespeople than did other types. 2. Results showed statistically significant differences on emotional responses such as the outward/inward pleasure and outward/inward displeasure of the in-store shopping environment according to apparel shopping orientation types. The outward pleasure was found most highly in the high involvement shopping type. 3. There were significant differences on behavioral responses of the in-store shopping environment, such as the shopping satisfaction, the store revisit intention, recommending to others, and the unexpected consumption, according to apparel shopping orientation types.

This research investigates the factors influencing price sensitivity in fashion products. This study incorporates three essential variables, which were likely to influence price sensitivity: the subjective shopping value of consumers, objective purpose of use, and social situation according to the shopping companions of consumers. A sample of young adult consumers (who had purchase experience of fashion products during the last six-months) was surveyed using a self-administered questionnaire. A 3-way ANOVA was used to evaluate the data. The results show that the utilitarian shopping value of consumers was more sensitive in price than the hedonic shopping value and a self-using purchase was more sensitive in price than a gift-giving purchase. In addition, a correlation effect was significant between the purpose of use and social situation. In addition, the correlation effect among all of the three variables was also significant.

This study investigates the effect of service ubiquity perceptions on consumers' responses to virtual stores such as benefit and risk perceptions, shopping value perceptions, and service usage intention. Data were collected via a self-administered online survey from nationwide consumer panels of an online marketing research firm. Questionnaire items were adopted from previous literature and developed by authors via pretesting to measure variables. The results revealed that virtual store service ubiquity affects consumer benefit perceptions as well as risk perceptions. All benefit perceptions (including time effectiveness, user control, and compatibility) had significant mediating effects between service ubiquity and hedonic/utilitarian shopping service value perceptions. The mediating effect of financial risk was significant only in the relationship between service ubiquity and utilitarian value perception. The findings offer retailers and marketers information in regards to consumers' perception of a virtual store usage, which can enhance service and product strategy.
The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of internet fashion advertisement (Ad) formats according to university students' online lifestyle. Static banner, rich media, floating, shopping, and target advertisement were selected as stimuli and a self-administered questionnaire was used for data collection. SPSS PC (Ver. 16.0) was used for factor analysis, ANOVA, and Chi-square test. Factors of online lifestyle were economy, early adaption, cyberspace activity, sociability, innovation, and entertainment, and subjects were segmented into online activity (OA) retard group, OA mania group, hedonic early adapter group, and OA intermediate group. OA retard group was positive to a static banner Ad with intimacy, and OA mania group and OA intermediate group were positive to a static banner Ad with confidence, attention, and intimacy and rich media Ad and floating Ad with confidence and attention. Hedonic early adapter group was positive to a target Ad with attention and intimacy. Internet shopping mall managers should select internet Ad format after segmenting their customers according to OA lifestyle.
