본 논문에서는 DSP코어를 채용한 디지털 보청기 칩을 설계 제작하였다. 디지털 보청기 칩은 크기와 소비전력면에서 크게 제한을 받는다. 이와함께 다양한 형태와 범위의 청각 손실에 대해 보상을 할 수 있어야 하기 때문에 알고리즘 개발을 위해 구조적인 유연성을 필요로 한다는 점도 칩 설계에 있어 또다른 제약이 된다. 본 연구에서는 16비트 고정 소수점 연산을 하는 크로그래머블 DSP 코어를 사용하여 보청기 칩을 설계하였다. 제작된 보청기 칩은 난청자의 청각 측정치를 바탕으로 8개의 주파수 대역에 걸쳐 비선형적으로 라우드니스를 보상해 준다. 필터 뱅크를 사용하는 대신에 본 연구에서에서는 단일 필터를 주파수 샘플링 방법으로 설계함으로써 주파수 왜곡을 최소화 하였다. 또한 프로그램 가능한 DSP 코어를 사용하였기 때문에 알고리즘 개발을 위한 시스템으로도 활용이 가능할 뿐만 아니라 $5,500\times5000$$\mu$$m^2$의 크기와 저전력 동작특성을 갖고 있어서 소형 보청기 제작에 적합하다.

This study was conducted to examine the effects of horticultural therapy on depression and emotional balance of women with hearing impairment. Ten women with hearing impairment registered in the Mokpo branch of the Korean Association of the Hearing Impaired were selected, and participated in the horticultural therapy program composed of 14 sessions from May 15 to July 31. The horticultural therapy program consisted of 'planting tropical orchids,' 'making a dish garden,' 'making plum pickles,' 'decorating a table with flowers,' 'making a hanging pot with succulent plants,' 'making pressed flowers with hydrangea,' 'making a fan with pressed flowers,' 'making a terrarium,' 'making a flower basket,' 'making a mosquito repellent spray,' 'decorating a heart-shaped cup with flowers,' 'making a natural herbal soap,' 'making a hydrangea bouquet' and 'making watermelon salad.' The depression and emotional balance scales were used to examine the effects of the program and the pre- and post-program scores were compared. The mean value of depression statistically significantly decreased from 49.0 points before the program to 43.9 points after the program. In addition, the mean value of emotional balance statistically significantly increased from 0.3 points before the program to 2.3 points after the program. The activity of drawing a picture after each session was effective in reducing depression and improving positive emotional balance by expressing emotions through pictures. The programs preferred by women with hearing impairment included 'making plum pickles,' 'making pressed flowers with hydrangea,' 'planting tropical orchids,' 'making a mosquito repellent spray,' 'making a natural herbal soap,' and 'making watermelon salad.' In conclusion, horticultural therapy programs were effective in reducing depression and improving emotional balance of women with hearing impairment.

본 연구는 난청인의 의사소통 증진을 위하여 문자통역서비스 활용 현황과 제도화 방안을 찾아보는데 있다. 연구결과는 첫째, 조사 대상자의 문자통역서비스 이용경험자는 17.8% 수준이었고 젊은 층일수록 이용경험률이 높았다. 문자통역서비스 제공기관은 복지기관(38.3%), 민간단체(18.3%), 공공기관(18.3%) 순이었다. 문자통역서비스를 위해 필요한 제도방안을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문자통역서비스는 "장애인차별금지 및 권리구제 등에 관한 법률"의 정당한 편의 중의 하나라는 것을 적극 홍보해야 한다. 둘째, "장애인복지법"의 일부 조항에 문자통역서비스를 추가 열거해 주어야 한다. 셋째, 난청인을 위한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 전달체계가 마련되어야 하며, 수화통역서비스와 복지서비스를 통합적으로 제공할 수 있도록 정비되어야 한다. 대면 접촉을 위한 문자통역서비스 방식의 개선방안이나 ICT를 활용하여 문자통역서비스를 발전시킬 수 있다면, 직업재활에서의 새로운 장애 근로자의 유입뿐만 아니라 난청인의 삶의 만족도 개선될 수 있을 것이다.

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare, "Status of Registered Persons with Disabilities", the number of people with disabilities is 2,494,460 as of 2015. The lowest rates of children with disabilities were intellectual disabilities (23%) and mental disorders (33.3%). The highest rates of screening were blindness (97%), heart failure (94.4%), and hearing impairment (92.7%). 65.2% of visually impaired people who have already had a disability at the time of marriage, and the remaining 34.8% can be thought to be the cause of high incidence of disability after marriage. 'SID (Seed in the Dark)' project was designed to recapture the visually impaired parent's desire for attachment and the space difficulties of the blind who want to be a normal parent to their children through a visual impairment of a father with 7-year-old daughter. Using Gear VR(Virtual Reality), the general public was able to feel the surroundings as if they had no vision and focused on the hearing. Especially, We expressed the sound wave visually and added the hilarious game element which grasps the terrain of the maze by sound wave like a 'blind person who perceives the surroundings by sound' and catches up with daughter. People with disabilities who are far from mental illness often have a form of family with children. The fact that the rate of childbirth is high means that there is relatively little problem in daily life. It is wondered that the rate of blindness among the visually impaired, which accounts for 10% of the total disabled, is the highest at 97%. This is because, in the case of the visually impaired, the obstacle is often caused by aging, accidents, or diseases due to inherited causes rather than the visual disorder. In particular, However, the fact that there is an obstacle in vision that accounts for 83% of the body's sensory organs causes other difficulties in the nursing process of children who are non-disabled. Parents do not know the face of child when their visual impairment is severe. Parents are extremely anxious about worry that they will be lost or abducted if their children are not by their side. And that the child recognizes the disability of his or her parents other than the other parents easily and takes it as a deficiency. Since visually impaired parents are mentally mature parents with non-disabled people, they may want their children not to feel deprived of their disability. The number of people with visual impairments has been increasing since 2001, and people with impairments often become disabled. In addition, there is much research on the problem of nondisabled parents who have children with disabilities, while there is relatively little interest and research on the problem of nondisabled child rearing of parents with disabilities.

본 연구의 목적은 전시시설에서의 정당한 편의제공 현황을 파악하여 이에 대한 문제점을 도출하고 분석함으로써 편의제공을 개선할 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 데에 목적이 있다. 전시시설의 정당한 편의제공 현황분석을 위해 23개 전시시설을 대상으로 물리적 정당한 편의제공 범위에 포함되는 편의시설에 대한 현황과 더불어 서비스 측면의 비물리적 정당한 편의제공 현황을 실태조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시설물 영역 중 외부의 접근과 관련하여 관람자가 안전하고 편리하게 대지 내의 접근로를 이동하여 전시시설까지 이동할 수 있도록 보행안전통로를 확보한다. 둘째, 전시시설 내부에서의 안전한 관람이 가능하도록 바닥면을 미끄럽지 않도록 처리하고, 시각장애인이 이동할 때에 위험요소인 장애물을 제거한다. 셋째, 승강기 내부 조작반과 장애인용화장실 설치시 휠체어사용자와 시각장애인의 이용시설이 같지 않다는 점을 고려하여야 한다. 넷째, 장애인의 안내를 위한 촉지도, 점자안내판, 시설물 축소모형 등을 설치하고 시설 편의이용정보가 기재된 안내서를 구비한다. 다섯째, 시 청각 장애인이 다양한 감각을 이용하여 전시물을 체험할 수 있도록 서비스 영역 측면의 다양한 편의가 제공되어야 할 것이다.

청각장애인의 시청각 매체인 TV이용에 있어서 문제가 되는 것은 소리를 들을 수 없기 때문에 프로그램 내용의 이해도가 현저히 떨어진다는 것이다. 그 이해도를 증대시켜 접근의 편의성을 높일 수 있는 연구의 필요성을 가지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 자막방송에 대해 자막을 자동으로 생성하는 방법을 제안하였다.

지진, 호우, 태풍, 화재 등 긴급한 재난 알림 전달이 필요한 상황에서 청각장애인은 소리를 통한 알림을 인지할 수 없으며 문자를 통한 알림의 인지율도 비장애인에 비하여 상대적으로 낮은 편으로서 일반적인 수단의 재난알림을 신속하게 인지하기 어려운 경우가 많다. 이와 같은 청각장애인의 재난안전 긴급알림 인지의 취약성 문제를 해결하고자 픽토그램을 통한 재난안전 긴급 알림 시스템이 개발되었다. 본 연구에서는 재난문자 통보문의 문구를 기반으로 인공지능을 통하여 청각장애인이 인지하기 보다 용이한 일련의 픽토그램으로 자동으로 변환하는 기술을 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 재난안전 관련 긴급 통보문과 관련되는 픽토그램 기반의 콘텐츠를 수집하고 문자 기반의 그림 출력에 적합한 인공신경망 구조와 훈련방법을 구성하여 인공신경망 기반으로 재난문자에 대응되는 픽토그램 기반의 청각장애인 재난안전 긴급알림이 생성될 수 있도록 하였다.

코로나19 팬데믹 이후 배달 앱 사용량이 증가에 따라 배달 오토바이 수가 급증하면서 이와 관련 사고 또한 급격히 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 특히 청각 장애인들은 도로에서 이러한 종류의 사고 위험에 더욱 노출되어 있으며, 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 구글 앱 인벤터를 사용하여 도로에서 오토바이 소리를 인식하는 인공지능 학습 모델을 개발하였다. 개발된 어플리케이션은 도로에서 오토바이 소리를 감지하고 사용자에게 진동과 사진으로 알림을 보냄으로써 사고를 예방에 기여할 수 있다.

This study was designed to examine the phoneme recognition errors of hearing-impaired (HI) listeners on a consonant-by-consonant basis, to show (1) how each HI ear perceives individual consonants differently and (2) how standard clinical measurements (i.e., using a tone and word) fail to predict these differences. Sixteen English consonant-vowel (CV) syllables of six signal-to-noise ratios in speech-weighted noise were presented at the most comfortable level for ears with mild-to-moderate sensorineural hearing loss. The findings were as follows: (1) individual HI listeners with a symmetrical pure-tone threshold showed different consonant-loss profiles (CLPs) (i.e., over a set of the 16 English consonants, the likelihood of misperceiving each consonant) in right and left ears. (2) A similar result was found across subjects. Paired ears of different HI individuals with identical pure-tone threshold presented different CLPs in one ear to the other. (3) Paired HI ears having the same averaged consonant score demonstrated completely different CLPs. We conclude that the standard clinical measurements are limited in their ability to predict the extent to which speech perception is degraded in HI ears, and thus they are a necessary, but not a sufficient measurement for HI speech perception. This suggests that the CV measurement would be a useful clinical tool.

This study is to use B.F. certification standards to identify the application and differences of B.F. facilities according to various approaches, and to use the analysis results as basic data for the expansion and renovation of new facilities, the National University (Jeonnam University Library), which underwent remodeling before the implementation of the certification system, and the two newly established private universities (Joseon University Library) that were subject to legal application before the implementation of the certification system. First, Chosun University met more B.F. certification standards than Chonnam National University, and mainly intermediary facilities belonged to the best to the best. Second, Chosun University and Chonnam National University's internal facilities met many B.F. certification standards, and Chonnam National University had many areas to improve and found areas to remodel. Third, information facilities at Chonnam National University and Chosun University only had facilities for the hearing impaired, and there were no information facilities for the visually impaired. Facilities for the visually impaired had to be installed, and compared to Chosun University, Chonnam National University fell short of the B.F. certification standard, so there were many areas that needed to be remodeled.
