Objective: The aim of this systematic review was to investigate for effective strategies to improve home exercise program (HEP) adherence in vestibular rehabilitation (VR). Design: Systematic review. Methods: A systematic review was conducted to identify effective strategies used to improve HEP adherence of patients in VR. Six databases, Academic Search Premier, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, PUBMED, PsycINFO, and Web of Science were searched from their inception to December 31, 2015. The keywords used for search were 'home program', 'home intervention', 'compliance', 'adherence', 'vestibular rehabilitation', 'motion sickness', and 'motion sensitivity'. Results: A total of eight studies were selected to be included in the review. There was 95.2% agreement between the two reviewers who reviewed the studies using a quality assessment tool. The overall inter-rater agreement (${\kappa}$=0.73) showed good agreement between the reviewers. Strong evidence was identified for 3 major categories of effective HEP adherence strategies, 1) providing patient with written summary of HEP; 2) asking patient to maintain a record of HEP and symptoms; and 3) providing tele-rehabilitation in form of email and/or telephone support along with in person treatment sessions. Also, based on strong evidence, computerized technology was not found to be superior to other strategies for improving patients' HEP adherence in VR. Conclusions: The effective strategies for improving HEP in VR include written summary of exercise, maintenance of log of HEP and symptoms and tele-rehabilitation along with in person treatment sessions.

The sample consisted of 246 nursing students and 166 non-nursing students at an evening class of junior college in T city. The data was collected by a self reporting questionnaire from March 2 to March 17, 1997 and analyzed by SPSS Win. 7.0 program for frequency, mean, percentage, t -test, ANOVA, and a Pearson correlation coefficient. The results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. The results of the comparison between the two groups was not significantly different for self esteem and perceived health status, but significantly different for self-efficacy. Nursing students had higher scores on self -efficacy than non-nursing students(t=4.621. p<.05). 2. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups concerning a health promoting lifestyle. Nursing students ($157.73{\pm}20.26$) had higher scores on total health promotion as well as its 8 subscales than non -nursing students ($048.15{\pm}21.51$,), (t=21.074, p<.001). On subscales, nursing students had the highest score in sanitary life(3.22) and the lowest score in professional health maintenance(1.54). Non -nursing students had the highest score in harmonious relationships(3.10) and the lowest score in professional health maintenance (1.48). 3. Performance in a health promoting lifestyle was significantly correlated with such demographic variables as age and grade for nursing students, and types of dwelling for non -nursing students. 4. Perceptions of good health have been positively correlated with health promoting lifestyles. Those persons who rated their health as good showed the highest score, followed by excellent ,average, poor in that order. 5. Performance in health promoting lifestyles was significantly correlated with self-esteem, self-efficacy and, perceived health status. The most important factor that affect performance in health promoting lifestyles was self -efficacy.
To vitalize the link program of Korean long-term care insurance system to community-based services for non-eligible people, we analysed the claim data from the Korean National Health Insurance Corporation (NHIC), and conducted a questionnaire survey to charging employees of elderly service department at local governments. The subjects were all 81,377 people, 57,454 of them were arranged to community-based services. The link program was more necessary among the missed subjects rather than the arranged people due to the need for physical or psychological assistance. By the result of the survey to the local government employees, 59.5% of subjects responded their proportion of link service was over 10% and under 20%, and 54.3% of them responded their job boundary are not clear. Major type of linking was notification the subject list to local government, 91.4%; proportion of periodical notification on the status of their service link were 57.1%, only 7.1% were followed to manage after the link. Difficult factors at the link process were pointed out the overload by other side work, deficiency of resources, rigidity of priority of link, and so on. Considering these results, to vitalize the community-based services to the non-eligible people, it may be essential the active participation of the subjects, construction of parts working in coordination among the institutions including NHIC, local governments, and service providers; development of various services for maintenance or promotion of the non-eligible peoples' health and functional status; and active participation of institutions from the third sector, and so on.

There are increasing needs for welfare in industrial environments in modern society. Industrial health is one of the most important components of industrial welfare, and it includes maintenance and improvement of physical, mental, and social health of the workers, elimination of factors threatening workers, prevention and early intervention of industrial diseases. In this regards the importance of industrial physical therapy is increasingly recognized and the need of physical therapy in industrial field is increasing. The authors surveyed and analyzed the curricula of the departments of physical therapy to promote development of curriculum or program for educating specialized industrial physical therapists. There are 40 institutes opening the department of physical therapy, 4-year courses in 17 and 3-year courses in 23. Only 2 institutes have subjects that are directly related to industrial health. This means that specific educational program for specialized industrial physicaltherapists is not established yet though there are many needs for industrial health and physical therapy in industrial fields. But many topics or knowledge of industrial health or physical therapy are scattered in several subjects. So we suggest the needs of systematic reorganization of specific curriculum that including ergonomics and prevention and treatment of industrial diseases for education of specialized industrial physical therapist.

Objectives : This study was performed to evaluate the relationships between psychosocial characteristics and changes in the stage of breast cancer screening behavior. Methods : The 474 study subjects were randomly sampled from 21,459 women(age range, 40-70 years) who were eligible for the Korean National Cancer Screening Program in 2006 in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. The information, including behaviors and sociodemographic characteristics, attitudes, subjective norms and self-efficacy, was collected by trained interviewers via home visits. The breast cancer screening stages were grouped as precontemplation, contemplation, action, maintenance and relapse, according to Rakowski. Results : Of the 474 women, 18.8% were in the precontemplation stage, 23.3% were in the contemplation stage, 13.1% were in the action stage, 36.6% were in the maintenance stage, and 8.2% were in the relapse stage. The distribution of stages was associated with attitude, subjective norms and self-efficacy(p for trend<0.01). To investigate the overall relationship between the variables, we conducted a linear structural equation model analysis based on the theory of planned behavior. The subjective norms and self-efficacy influenced the stage of the women's screening behavior. Conclusions : We should target on self-efficacy about the screening behavior of women by performing timely, thoughtful interventions. The support from family members, friends and other people is crucial for women to undergo breast cancer screening and to improve the breast cancer screening rate.

This study was conducted to identify the factors related to the patient demographics and smoking factors on smoking cessation success and maintenance of subjects at the 6th and 12th week at a public hospital. This study utilized secondary data collected through the smoking cessation program of the 2014 public health care program, which is mediated for 6 weeks and checked for maintenance on the 12th week. The data were analyzed by the chi-square test, t-test and logistic regression analysis. There were 90 subjects in total, 85 men (94.45%) and 5 women (5.55%). The smoking success group and smoking failure group showed significant differences in family type (${\chi}^2=4.496$, p=0.037), education (${\chi}^2=12.253$, p=0.002), smoking amount per day before program (t=-2.906, p=0.005), and nicotine dependence before program (t=-3.081, p=0.003) after 6 weeks. Factors influencing smoking cessation success were religion (OR=3.719, 95% CI=1.076-12.859) and nicotine dependence before program (OR=0.713, 95% CI=0.520-0.976). Factors influencing smoking cessation maintenance were family type (OR=0.017, 95% CI=0.001-0.507) and no-smoking willingness (OR=2.062, 95% CI=1.059-4.015). For smoking cessation to be successful and sustainable, it is necessary to develop programs specific for the characteristics of the subjects; accordingly, continuous research and support are needed.
