Perception Level of Foot Reflex Therapy and Its Related Factors among Customers using Foot Care Service Centers (전문 발 관리실 이용자의 발 반사요법 인식수준 및 관련요인)

  • For this study, in order to understand the perception level of foot reflex therapy and clarify its related factors among customers using foot care service centers, a survey was conducted based on structured self-administered questionnaire with 181 users of three foot care service centers located in Daejeon between September 1 and October 30, 2011. The results showed that the average score in perception level of the subjects regarding foot reflex therapy was $32.19{\pm}5.32$(Score scale of the 11 items 0-44) and people with higher level of education had a significantly higher perception level(p=0.020).The perception level based on attitude and practice of foot reflex therapy was significantly higher in the group who do it "to heal illness"(p=0.034); and who "had illness" at the time when they started the therapy (p=0.030); when they used the foot massage for a longer period (p=0.000); and those in the group who would "recommend it"(p=0.004). In multiple regression analysis, among the factors that affect perception level of foot reflex massage, reason for using foot reflex therapy, health state when starting foot reflex massage, period of using foot reflex massage, and experience of recommendation to other people were selected as significant variables, with the explanatory power of 26.1%. The results suggest that perception level of foot care service users regarding foot reflex therapy are more correlated to variables that explain their attitude and practice than general characteristic variables.

Factors Affecting on the Intention to Use of Information and Communication Technology for the Elderly Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (계획된 행위이론을 기반으로 노인의 정보통신 테크놀로지 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the intention to use of information and communication technology(ICT) for the elderly residing in community based on the theory of planned behavior. The subjects were 99 elderly aged 60 or older living in G and S cities from January 1 to 31 in 2020 using questionnaire. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 program for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression. As a result, the mean of the attitude to use of ICT for the elderly was 3.79±0.74, subjective norm was 3.43±0.66, perceived behavioral control was 3.12±0.71, behavior intention was 3.23±0.77. The intent to use of ICT for the elderly are subjective norm(β=.35, p<.001), perceived behavior control(β=.35, p<.001), had an explanatory power of 48.7%. Therefore, it is necessary that systematic program considering the above factors for elderly residing in community to promote the intent to use of ICT.

Perception and Attitude on Augmented Reality Smart Glass for Healthcare Convergence Simulation (증강현실(AR) 스마트글라스 보건의료 융합 시뮬레이션에 대한 인식 및 태도)

  • Augmented reality smart-glass enables healthcare providers to use patient and their care related information without interference of workflow. In addition, augmented reality smart-glass simulation had advantages in improving competency via remote collaboration and real-time information sharing. This study investigated perception and attitude regarding augmented reality smart glass based healthcare simulation on three different groups of healthcare major students, computer major students, developers and faculties. Using convenience sampling method, data were obtained from 95 participants and statistical analysis were performed using SPSS 25.0. Developer and faculty group showed the highest scores, followed by healthcare major students. There was the high expectation on augmented reality smart-glass for skill acquisition and the high performance and big screen were essential features of device. The findings of this study revealed that differences between healthcare and computer major students exist and strategies to reduce those gaps are required to adopt augmented reality smart glass in healthcare settings.

A Study of the Central Meaning of Transmission and a Reconsideration of Its Value as a Local Cultural Content within Jeongeupsa (<정읍사> 전승의 구심적(求心的) 의미와 지역문화콘텐츠로서의 가치 재고(再考))

  • This paper aims reinterpreting and reflecting on the current status and problems with the various contents that have developed through Jeongeupsa (井邑詞, Jeongeup Lyrics) in order to enhance the local and cultural value of Jeongeupsa within the broader context of classical poetry. The results of this research are as follows: First, I raised the questions by summarizing previous studies on the interpretation of Jeongeupsa. The view of Jeongeupsa as songs about the jealousy and anger of wives is highlighted, and the view of the wives' desire for their husbands' safety is confirmed to be passive portrayals of women. These two interpretations raise questions about the extent to which Jeongeupsa remain relevant to local cultural content of today. Second, it was understood that Jeongeupsa shows a mature attitude that does not indicate spatial separation from the subjects in the poem. This is shown via the absence of those subjects, and further shows an active and subjective attitude of waiting. Therefore, it was deemed that there is room to reconsider to the categorization of Jeongeupsa as lewd songs. Third, the contents generated through Jeongeupsa are buried in feelings of sadness and anger. Thereby, the contents have not guaranteed the health of Jeongeupsa. In order to promote Jeongeupsa as a source of local and cultural content, the positive value of Jeongeupsa must be enhanced.

Stress and Infection Prevention Behavior of Nursing College Freshman During the COVID-19 Pandemic (COVID-19 팬데믹 시기에 입학한 간호대학생의 스트레스와 감염예방행위)

  • This study was conducted to confirm the level of stress and infection prevention behavior of nursing college freshman during the COVID-19 pandemic. 119 nursing college freshmen who took remote classes because face-to-face classes were not possible due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN/PC 26.0 statistics program. As a result of this study, the sensitivity to stress was significantly higher when the attitude towards college life was passive (F=5.92, p=.004), and when people perceived themselves as healthy, their stress was significantly lower (t=-2.22, p=.029). In addition, those who responded that they were very uncomfortable due to activity restrictions due to COVID-19 had a significantly higher level of infection prevention behavior than those who responded that they did not feel any discomfort (F=3.51, p=.018). In a pandemic environment such as COVID-19, efforts to promote a positive attitude and awareness of health conditions are needed to reduce the stress of college freshmen and increase infection prevention behavior.

Cultural Psychological Exploration on Suicide (자살: 문화심리학적 관점에서의 조망)

  • The present study was to explore the suicide from the perspective of cultural psychology. The result was that: First, the main reason to commit the familial suicide in korea is due to cultural characteristic. Korean people does not think the relationship of parents and children is separate or independent. So, When they can not bring up their child, Korean parents commit the familial suicide. Second, many people commit suicide not individual problems but interpersonal problems. This result reveal that Korean people think relationship between the people is very important. Third, there art too many alcohol problem in korea. The reason is generous attitude about alcohol problem. Fourth, suicide of man due to economic problem on the other hand, women due to personal health problem. The reason of this is cultural characteristics of korea. In traditional Korean culture, the family responsibility rest with man and the household affairs responsibility rest with women. Also, it is suggested that further psychological researches must be performed in the serious consideration of the indigeneous characteristics of Korean culture.

Survey of College Students' Perceptions of COVID-19, which has been Converted into a Class 4 Infectious Disease (제4급감염병으로 전환된 코로나19에 대한 대학생의 인식 조사)

  • This study conducted a survey using Google on 282 college students to investigate college students' awareness of COVID-19, which has been converted into a class 4 infectious disease. As a result, the average level of interest in COVID-19 information was 2.85, and the average level of interest in COVID-19 information was 2.85. 54% did not know that the level had changed, showing that interest in COVID-19 was not high. In terms of personal hygiene attitude, the average of those who are not currently wearing a mask was 3.95, but the average of those who wear a mask when necessary was 3.94, washing hands for more than 30 seconds, washing hands frequently, and coughing etiquette were observed well. Additionally, awareness of infection was observed by others. Rather, they thought of their symptoms as connected to COVID-19 and were still conscious of COVID-19 infection (average 3.85). Additionally, COVID-19 was recognized as a threatening infectious disease that could cause a resurgence and repeat a pandemic. Since the crisis stage regarding COVID-19 can change at any time in the WithCorona era, this study sought to provide basic data for successful response to future crises by investigating trends in changes in people's perceptions.

Effect Assessment of Safety Education in Laboratories of Department of Dental Technology Applied of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) (TPB 이론을 적용한 치기공학 전공 대학생들의 실습실 안전교육 효과 평가)

  • Objective: This study is a quasi-experimental study by nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design, performed in order to identify whether the program developed on the basis of Ajzen(1988, 1991)'s theory of planned behavior (TPB) for predicting the safety behavior of students of department of dental technology affects intention toward safety behavior and general behavior. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify whether the safety education in laboratories in which knowledge is reinforced on the basis of the TPB theory affects safety behavior. Methodology: The theoretical framework of this study was established on the basis of the TPB by Ajzen(1988, 1991). This study was performed between May 20 and December 5, 2006, and the subjects included 101 in the experimental group and 98 in the control group, a total of 199. The experimental group was educated through six 50-minute sessions (twice a week) for three weeks. The experimental group was pretested, educated, and then asked to answer the pro-questionnaire after finishing the sixth session, but the control group was free from intervention. The research tool in this study was developed by the authors with reference to the process of tool development used in Schifter and Ajzen (1985) based on Ajzen and Fishbein(1980)'s tool development guide. Results: The data were analyzed through SPSS 14.0 version. The reliability test of attitude, subjective norm, perceived norm, intention, and behavior toward safety behavior as TPB variables was calculated of Cronbach's alpha coefficient, and general characteristics and the homogeneity test of the experimental and the control groups were analyzed through t test and $X^2$ test. According to the results of the analysis, the experiment group may be higher than the control group after the safety education in the scores of attitude, the subjective norm, the perceived norm, and the intention toward safety behavior as TPB independent variables showed no significant difference, but there was significant difference in the behavior and the knowledge. Meanwhile, according to the results of the pretest and posttest, eleven items in the experimental group and two items in the control group showed significant difference in the behaviors, and twelve in the former and four in the latter were significantly different in the knowledge. Conclusion: The safety education program developed on the basis of TPB was identified to enhance safety behavior and knowledge. Therefore, the safety education program used in this study for students of department of dental technology may be utilized as database for safety education in the department of dental technology.

Relation of Self-Efficacy and Cognition of Irradiated Food among High School Students (고등학생의 방사선조사식품에 대한 인식과 자기효능감과의 관련성)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the Cognition of irradiated food and its relation with self-efficacy. The most important variables described behaviors based on health choices compared with the choice to choose irradiated food items. According to the survey, 33.1% of respondents said that the reason why irradiated food is considered to be a health risk is because "radiation is dangerous". 27.9% of respondents answered that "eating irradiated food is like eating a radioactive substance", 21.1% said radiated food is comparable to a "genetic variation in food" while 10.1% said "food goes bad during the irradiation process". On this basis, it is reasonable to conclude that respondents have a misunderstanding of irradiated food without reference to the general theory of irradiated knowledge. In this respect, it would be helpful to provide education showing that irradiated food is not related to eating harmful or genetically modified food to help high school students create informed opinions of irradiated food. In terms of relevance with health-specific self-efficacy, experience of acquiring information about irradiated food was marked at r=0.148 (p<0.01), experience of purchasing irradiated food was marked at r=0.077 (p<0.05), experience of eating irradiated food was marked at r=0.113 (p<0.01) while knowledge of irradiated food, attitude towards irradiated food and behavior was marked at r=0.103 (p<0.01), r=0.076 (p<0.05) and r=0.105 (p<0.01) respectively. This shows that self-efficacy is high when one has experience of acquiring information about irradiated food, purchasing or eating irradiated food resulting in a high level of knowledge, attitude and behavior. Education which serves to improve the level of self-efficacy needs to be provided along with an educational program which will increase the public's understanding of irradiated food. It is expected that if this education which increases the level of self-efficacy is provided together with correct information of irradiated food, behavior to choose and eat irradiated food will also improve.

University students' eating behavior and consumer attitude in social commerce service (소셜커머스 이용 대학생의 외식 행동 및 태도 분석)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to investigate eating behavior of university students through social commerce and to analyze factors affecting university students' attitude regarding social commerce. Methods: Questionnaires were distributed to 445 university students in Changwon, Korea from March 28 to April 28, 2013. A total of 339 questionnaires were used for the final analysis, which excluded improperly-completed questionnaires. Results: The major factor considered for eating behavior through social commerce was price (37.2%). Purchasing experiences of foodservice products according to types of foodservice were 64.9% for coffee shop, 59.3% for fast food restaurant, 53.4% for family restaurant, 46.0% for specialty restaurant, 35.7% for pizza restaurant, 35.4% for buffet, and 31.9% for bakery. Factors affecting satisfaction with social commerce for purchasing foodservice products were 'service quality of foodservice company', 'communication of social commerce', and 'discount rate of social commerce'. Factors affecting repurchasing intention of foodservice products through social commerce were 'service quality of foodservice company', 'site design of social commerce', and 'discount rate of social commerce'. Conclusion: In order to increase satisfaction with social commerce, 'service quality of foodservice company', 'communication of social commerce', and 'discount rate of social commerce' should be increased. And, to increase repurchasing intention of social commerce, 'service quality of foodservice company', 'site design of social commerce', and 'discount rate of social commerce' should be increased. In addition, two factors 'service quality of foodservice' and 'discount rate of social commerce' were found to have an effect on satisfaction and repurchasing intention of social commerce. For development of social commerce and foodservice industry, cooperative relationship between social commerce and foodservice industry is needed, and a reasonable price strategy should be established. The university students considered price as a major factor of eating behaviors and did not consider menu and taste as a major factor. From a longer perspective, such an eating behavior would have an effect on university students' dietary life and it would cause nutrition and health problems for university students. Thus, it implied that further studies from the perspectives of nutrition and health regarding eating behavior through social commerce service should be conducted.
